I recently fell in love with the heatwave pattern in the linen garden suit. Brands like Nooworks…read moreare ordinarily way, way out of my budget but I wanted to celebrate a special accomplishment with a special one-time purchase. They were out of my size, XL, and said that they didn't have anymore of this fabric so they would not be restocking it. I thought I'd lucked out when an XL became available due to a return. I immediately ordered it. Fast forward, it is as beautiful as I'd imagined. However, it came with a super strong perfume fragrance all over it. I cannot tolerate fragrances due to migraines and other chronic illness conditions. Additionally, there were a few very minor snags in the fabric. Both of these issues suggest that the item was worn, returned, and then sold to me at full price. To the credit of Nooworks' customer service they offered me the choice of a free return (usually there is a $10 fee) or 10% off. I love the jumpsuit so much and there are no others available in my size , so I took the 10% refund. Now I've thoroughly hand washed twice and the fragrance is less prominent but still strong. I recognize that Nooworks made a concerted effort to right the situation and it was my decision to keep the item. At the same time, I believe they should have been more cautious about inspecting the item and cleaning it before sending it out. I was told they can't accept a return now that I've washed it, which I understand. It is super disappointing that better care wasn't taken in the first place, though, since I may not be able to wear it if I cannot get the fragrance out. I'd initially ordered a few other items to try that came in a separate package and one of the items also had a very strong perfume odor. I get this doesn't bother many people but when I buy clothing new, especially at a premium, I expect it to be free of fragrances. It's one of the reasons I spend more for new items when I'd rather buy thrift, resale, etc. Long story short is to check your items thoroughly upon receipt. If you're sensitive to fragrances, you might want to pass on purchasing from this company.

I ended up getting the linen catalina pant "roll out" pattern, size xs. The pants fit so well! (I'm like 5'2.) I had a slight issue, where I felt I wasn't welcomed in the store. This happened during my first visit. I always knew about their clothes online, saved items I wanted to get. During my visit, I didn't get like a "welcome in" or a "hello". Like any [friendly] recognition would've been nice. Only when I asked to get a fitting room, (which also took a long while to wait), did I get any sort of recognition. I even tried to get a little friendly banter at the register, but the interaction felt awkward. I'm not sure if they felt too busy. I don't know. It's not such big store where you couldn't miss anyone. Maybe another visit would be a better experience. Who knows... I think I would stay with online ordering for now.

I've been shopping at Cris Consignment since I was a kid, back when the store was in its old…read morelocation and I would visit with my mom. Because of that history, it makes me especially sad to write this review. To be fair, several of my consigned items did sell, and I appreciated that the team was willing to discuss pricing rather than simply assigning a number without input. The store also continues to have a well-curated selection of inventory. Unfortunately, after my experience consigning with them, I would never trust them with high-value items again. At the end of my consignment period, I went to pick up my unsold items and was assured that everything had been accounted for. Thankfully, I keep detailed records because I immediately realized that a brand-new pair of Dior shoes was neither returned to me nor included in my payout. After several conversations, I learned that the shoes had been sent to the Carmel location for a customer to consider purchasing. I was never notified that my items were being moved between stores, and the store had completely lost track of them. Even after the mistake was discovered, it took several more weeks of follow-up and back-and-forth before my shoes were finally returned to me. Had I not maintained my own inventory list, I'm not convinced the issue would have been caught at all. Customer service was also disappointing. One staff member is consistently dismissive and unpleasant to deal with, and I've heard similar feedback from several friends who have shopped or consigned there. When you're entrusting a business with luxury items worth hundreds or thousands of dollars, communication and inventory management need to be impeccable. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. While I appreciate that some of my items sold and that the store still has a great eye for merchandise, this experience was enough that I won't be consigning--or shopping--here again.

When I went in the store the young lady asked what I was looking for and what was the occasion. I explained what I had in mind, she said let me show you a couple dresses, one was a maybe and the other was a no. She showed me the next one and it was perfect, I tried it on and didn't even need to try the other dress. Amazing, I have never gone in a store, brought three items in, tried one on and it was perfect! I then thought, it doesn't have a price and I'm sure it's going to be expensive... but I loved it and told myself I'll pay $300. I asked how much and she looked it up, $125! I'll take it . I also told her and her Mom the owner of the store that I was looking for something for my five year old granddaughter as a shawl, showed her the dress she was wearing to the gala and the owner said wait right here I think I have something perfect. She came back and she was right! Then she was kind enough to give it to us. This store is amazing, I'll definitely go back for another update to my closet. Great selection of quality clothing and a fair price! You can't beat the customer service. A word of caution, pay attention to the parking signs, I parked one block up and didn't see the street cleaning signs. I got a parking ticket for $125 :( but all in all still under my budget and I have a great dress. Here's a photo of my family at the event.
