We ended up staying almost an hour after they closed, but he didn't mind one bit. He told us to take our time, and that he didn't mind. mom so glad we went, we are already planning another trip in! Free and ample parking for everyone! We were happily surprised to find the store larger than it used to be. They finished an expansion this last fall that allowed them to expand space for large board game tournaments and swaps. Really love the board game library free to play from as well. Plenty of space to bring friends and hang out. The friendly cashier mentioned that they are working on a partnership with the local Whimsy Tea Company to serve their DnD themed teas in the shop while folks are playing. This shop has almost everything you could want in the way of games, supplies and figurines and all at great prices. Games are sold at or below MSRP which makes the choice easy to support them. Stuff on Amazon is rarely cheaper. We bought a small card game for some friends and went on our way, but this shop will always be a stop for us while we are in Springfield.

I noticed a couple of negative reviews on here and I will give you my take…read more I worked at Primo for a year or so as one of the designers and they work their butt off trying to get things done on time. The owner Lenny will bend over backwards to accommodate customers with reprints, or redesigns even when they are in the wrong. However, some people come in there just for a free design service with no idea of what they want, all they know is whatever you come up with, won't be what they had in mind and get all bent out of shape with you not reading their minds! Or they come in with some crappy image they found on line about 10k in size and want a six foot by four foot banner made out of it. Perhaps some of the customers would be better served by looking on Youtube or something to see what goes on in the design process instead of bitching about wanting a six color process and wanting to pay for one.

Then there is the whole co-owner ranting about how bad he thinks Republicans are and the experience is shot. The selection isn't bad for a small city, but the prices are kind of steep, especially if you have a clue as to how much some of the stuff is worth. Oh, and expect to be lowballed if you bring things in for trade or sale. They offered me $50 for a figure that is worth well over $300 loose and this one was still in it original packaging and worth far more than that. I get it though... buy low, sell high is the foundation of trade, but I really wonder how many people have allowed themselves to be burned dealing there.
