We've been in our office here for about a year, and LOVE it! They have it all, and then some. The…read moregrounds are clean, well kept and secure with sufficient parking and the option for a private garage. There's a wonderful courtyard with a lots of seating and a BBQ, a gym, and our favorite - conference rooms and a community lounge which is can be reserved at no additional cost for a short time or the whole day either by the room, or the whole space. We use the conference rooms often as they have a conf phone, screen for presentations which you can easily connect your laptop to, and a full kitchen just outside. The property manager is friendly and helpful, as well as the maintenance team who is quick and reliable. We've had all positive experiences here, and the other companies throughout the lofts are full of friendly people as well. Being here feels more like home than your typical office building - a welcomed difference vs the typical rental space.

It is run by a passionate woman who is a sewing expert and the classes she offers really help build a sense of community in the cap hill area. The space also offers studio rental space for artists looking for a place to work on their projects. They are also hosting a market for local artists this year. I'm hoping these events continue. Overall, I intend to become a regular at Summit Selvage.

Wow! What a discovery this place was! I didn't even have Gallery Boom on my list of bookmarks in…read moreOlympia. We just happened to park by it as we were going to explore and grab a bite to eat in downtown Olympia. I asked the cashier how long the place has been around and I was told it's been around for about two years. I'm a bit shocked that no Yelp entry has been made yet. Gallery Boom is a gallery that features over 100 local artists and virtually all of the work here is for sale. The prices on a great deal of the art pieces asked by the artists seem very reasonable. Since this gallery features so many artists the variety on what type of art there is here is quite vast. I bought several things here... a dried mushroom under glass, a purple crystal, a Christmas ornament with moss in it, a UFO rear view mirror hanging ornament and the bigger purchase a small lamp. Pictures of most of those things to follow. I was very excited to get this lamp as the artist makes all kinds of sizes of lamps that are inspired by sci-fi, UFO's, the Space Needle and other similar building structures like it. I first came across these lamps at another Olympia art gallery, Matter Art Gallery. That gallery has since gone defunct and I was very sad to no longer see these lamps but now I know a great physical location to go to for these lamps (the same artist like many of the other artist either have their own website, a point of contact or an Etsy account as well). It was great reconnecting with those artistic lamps again! The cashier said that reaching out to nearly all of the artists is easy and they are very receptive to communicating with the public. This also reflects onto the gallery itself as it doesn't come across stuffy or pretentious in the slightest. The cashier also mentioned that the art for sale can rotate out relatively quickly and that their is almost always something new to examine in a relatively short amount of time. Not only that but one pass down the aisles here just doesn't seem to do it justice. It seems like each time you walk where you already were you see something that didn't catch your eye the first time. So you can spend a lot of time here just doing that. I'm totally addicted to this place! I am SO coming back here but I'm going to wait maybe several weeks to a month for new art pieces to get brought in. If nothing else I'm most likely going to buy another one of those lovely lamps!

They use loopholes in the language to avoid prorating, and to say your lease is longer than it is. It looks simple until they start "explaining" that, for example, though it says for a one year term, then goes month to month, your "lease" doesn't end until after you give notice-- which also means if you want to leave May 15th you must tell them no later than April 1 ( but it also says 30 days) and if it's April 3, well your lease ends May 31 now and pay a full month. Even if your lease began May 1 and a year would be... May 1. "There is no end date," I was told. "It ends when you give notice..." Month to month isn't a lease, StudioWorks. it isn't a separate mini lease. but they get away with it because tenant rights are all self help unless you can afford a lawyer.

When the moratorium on late fees and evictions ends, they will expect full payment from their tenants and charge late fees at that point if any back rent owed is not paid immediately. As a small business, rebuilding a client volume and making enough to pay rent will be challenging enough, let alone being forced to pay three months of rent. The building is clean, and overall the process up until now was a positive one. Because of this profits-first mentality and blatant hypocrisy in how they view assistance during troubled times, I would recommend you take your small business elsewhere. Fremont Space Building was much more kind to their tenants during this crisis.
