History

Established in 2016.

Art Smart officially launched January 2016. We say officially because a lot of "Smart Art" things have been happening to Sue Daniel, the owner/founder, for years. Sue has been an artist since her first year of grade school. That was when she drew a penguin in oil pastels. Her teacher entered the work in an art show and it received a 2nd place ribbon. To Sue, that ribbon made her feel smart, special, and unique for the first time in her life. Sue obtained Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from The University of Texas of The Permian Basin and has been teaching for over 20 years. Stemming from that early positive art experience, Art Smart Studio strives to incorporate, intelligence, uniqueness, and fun into every aspect of its programming. Art Smart exists to provide an avenue for people to discover more about themselves through the creation of drawing, painting, sculpture, and textiles.
