They are a CASH ONLY business. This is ridiculous. I was in a time crunch before a work meeting and needed a 145 page document printed (in color). The printer they used was not a large professional machine, but rather a desk top home-office type printer... it took FOREVER to print!! Not at all what I was expecting. Not to mention their prices were incredibly expensive and put me and my co-worker in a bind to scrounge up cash at the last minute... which included me having to run across the street in the rain to an ATM machine. SILLY!! We have Square nowadays... not accepting cards is prehistoric people. One color printed document with 145 pages: $156.96!!!!

Extremely disappointing experience at The Pottery in Midland. I painted a cup there and when I…read morepicked it up, the top rim was chipped and cracked all around. When I brought it back, they told me they would try to reglaze it. Later they called and said they couldn't fix it because there were "too many layers of paint," even though there were absolutely no instructions anywhere stating that customers couldn't paint more than three layers. Instead of taking responsibility or offering a reasonable solution, they refused a refund and the most I could be offred was only a 5% discount which I agreed I. The moment only to realize I wouldn't want to even return to that place to repaint . When my husband called to discuss it further, Tonya was rude and dismissive on the phone. The whole interaction felt very unprofessional. If there are strict painting rules that can ruin a piece, those instructions should be clearly explained to customers beforehand. Blaming customers afterward and refusing to make it right is not good business practice. Unfortunately this experience left us feeling uncomfortable even returning to the store. I would not recommend this place if you expect respectful customer service or accountability when something goes wrong.

Some of the furniture pieces used to stage the house were real elegant and fun to see. They have an original bedroom set to the White family made of wood, in pristine condition, incredible! The rotary phone actually works and my child was able to make a local call on it. The house sits on the highest natural point in Odessa and grows pretty much anything they want to plant. The house has suffered some vandalism and made me long for simple days of the past where people had work to do and didn't go around cutting up other peoples trees and damaging property. All in all I loved this field trip offered to us and highly recommend going if you can. I know the city doesn't want much to do with this historical site, which is a real shame. If the city became involved this historical site might be here for future generations of people. I know they are struggling to keep it as it is. It's a real gem.
