Palace Events provided drapery, lighting and a chandelier, which created the perfect setting! Courtney was the coordinator we worked with and she was polite and very organized. She also was proactive in seeing an issue with the lighting and fixed it before I had to mention anything. In addition, we used their Standard Photo Booth and were so glad we did! We used their design, floral, and day-of coordination services. The design service was amazing. They got to know us as a couple, got to know our vibe, and then created a tailored design plan that truly incorporated every element we wanted and some that we didn't even know were possible! They stayed within our budget and did not pressure us to spend more. We were able to rent all of our needed items from them and used them for signage. We also paid for the set-up and tear-down services so felt incredibly stress free with the design of the wedding day. The floral was wrapped up in the design process and was also effortless. They gave us a full plan of which florals would be used for our bouquets and arrangements. On the day-of the flowers were beautiful and just as described. The day-of coordination was icing on the cake. Our coordinator, Kelli, was present for all of our design/planning meetings so it felt like she knew our wedding when planning the schedule. She was available to talk through all the details of our schedule and very communicative leading up to the wedding. We elected to work with Unique Events after a disappointing experience with another event planning group whose fee structure and policies were ambiguous, at best. From the outset, Travis and his team of event designers were responsive to our questions and took our interests, tastes, and goals for the wedding into consideration. UE worked within our budget to design and execute a truly outstanding event that felt personal, elegant, and seamless. A number of the vendors and countless guests have reached out to us with compliments for UE's exceptional service and design work. My partner and I planned the wedding from out of state, and therefore assigned a lot of responsibility to UE to manage not only their own design elements (incl. ceremony & reception decor, lighting, floral, linens, and numerous rentals) but also to oversee the "day-of" operations of eight other vendors. Throughout the planning process, Travis Newell's communication with us was prompt, clear, and courteous. He went above and beyond to ensure that the details we discussed were accounted for in revised event proposals and came prepared with questions and ideas to all of our conversations. He and the day-of coordinators even went so far as to meet with me (and one of the other vendors) at the venue three weeks before the wedding for a detailed walk through of the design and event timeline. The event coordinators, Ashley and Hannah, also provided exceptional service on the day-of, working tirelessly from 7am through midnight to liaise with vendors, party members and guests, and to attend to issues that arose. My husband and I had such a great time testing out our creative brains as we painted Picasso-inspired faces. Thankfully, the staff were generous with the paint! I think I asked for more paint 3-4 times... maybe I just like to glob in on, though. :) The space we painted in fit approximately 20-25 people. There was another room where splatter painting occurs. I think every one of us in our group said, "OooooOOOOooooo," as we passed that room on our way out. I will be curious to check it out sometime.

At least three times I had to re-send my emails to Kelley because of non-response - to which he's always reply "oh, I am sorry I thought I repliod". At one point I tried to call him due to non-response via email - his voicemail was full, so left with no other options I sent him a text- three days later I still had not heard from him. He posted a status update on facebook so I commented on it to please call me. Funny how he immediately called me within 30 seconds of posting that once the public could see it. I had two phone conversations and multiple email conversations about our first dance song - a simple "skip" forward to a second song after one minute and 20 seconds into the first one. A grade schooler could perform this on their iPod - I even OFFERED him my iPod with the "playlist" already set up for the first dance - he said no, it won't be a problem. Wedding day our first dance and we never heard the second song - my husband and I kept dancing waiting for the second song to play and it never did. I informed Kelley of this the day he came to pick up his equipment at our place (we were nice enough to allow them to pick it up Monday instead of having them pick it up Sunday)...to which he responded with absolutely no concern or remorse "Oh really, sorry". Then didn't miss a beat and went on about picking up his equipment. He already had his money so it obviously wasn't a care of concern of his. I expected more for spending almost $1000 on this Dj and the fact that his mother is good friends with my friend and photographer (and how I even heard of him in the first place). Twisted Mics may of been customer service oriented at one time but they are not now and it was a complete waste of money. I'll never get my first dance back that I planned painstakingly for months.
