But it also gives me the opportunity to be in the presence of others who love creative activities other than painting. I love how people bring whatever gifts they have been given by God, and share those gifts which inspire and encourage us to know that our creativity comes from God, and that He loves it when we freely give it back to Him through sharing it in community. People write poetry, dance, draw, take photographs, sing, write music, make pottery -the emphasis is on visual arts but the methods of expression are seemingly unlimited! Everyone is made to feel welcome and valued, because that is the heart of God. It's a sacred space and a beautiful place!

She's been so excited ever since the first class and is going to love it Original review My daughter really enjoyed her introductory class last month, and we were eager to sign her up for June. When we inquired about enrollment, the teacher specifically told us it was too early to enroll but that the time slot we wanted was available. We were instructed to wait until closer to June and were assured someone from the studio would contact us to finalize enrollment. Since no one ever reached out, I called the office on May 27th to get her enrolled. To my dismay, I was informed that the class was completely full. It was a big surprise, especially since we learned there had been a family on a waitlist for that same spot since April, a detail that was never communicated to us during our May visit.

We visited Kid Can Do expecting a fun, engaging indoor play space for young children, but it felt more like a restrictive, adult-supervised activity zone than a true play area. The biggest issue was the inconsistency and lack of freedom for the kids. Plenty of cupboards, covers, and storage areas were unlocked and easily accessible, so naturally the children explored them. As soon as they pulled out toys or art supplies, staff quickly took them away because they "weren't part of this week's theme." If you're going to leave things unlocked and within reach, kids are going to play with them, that's completely normal and developmentally appropriate. Instead, we spent most of our time picking up after our child and saying "no" or redirecting them. If that's the kind of experience you're looking for, this is the spot for you. If you want a place where children can actually play freely without constant intervention, look elsewhere. It also didn't feel developmentally suitable for the younger ages they advertise for. The setup created more frustration than fun, with limited open-ended play opportunities. On top of that, the cost felt excessive for what's offered. For the price, I expected more space, better variety, and far less policing of normal kid behavior. You could re-create what they offer for a fraction of what you are paying to go here for 90 minutes and have better peace of mind doing it in your own home. Save your time and money. Head to Play Pie or the New Children's Museum down in San Diego instead--both are much better options for actual play and exploration. Unfortunately, this was a waste of an afternoon for us.
