Someone who you feel comfortable asking for help," I suggested. "But that's everyone," she replied. That's the environment they have created in their musical theatre program. It's supportive, encouraging, and confidence building. And it comes from the top down. Artworks is a safe, happy place for my daughter. She got in the car after class, feeling confident and happy, asking when she gets to go back.

We have been attending ArtWorks Academy of Performing Arts for some time, and until today we had…read morenever been told that parents or children could not wait in the lobby after class. In fact, their own website states that parents and children may wait in the lobby. Today, on one of the hottest days of the year during an Oklahoma heat advisory, my young daughter and her elderly grandmother were told they could not remain inside while waiting for their ride and were instructed to wait outside instead. This was not only inconsistent with the academy's published policy but also showed a concerning lack of judgment and concern for the safety and well-being of families. If the policy has changed, it should be clearly communicated in advance and reflected on the website. Instead, my family was unexpectedly forced outside into dangerous heat. This experience has left us extremely disappointed. A performing arts academy should prioritize the safety of its students and their families. Because of how this situation was handled, I can no longer recommend ArtWorks Academy to others, and we will not be returning. The instructors were always extremely nice and my daughter did enjoy going there. She will miss it but it is hurtful that they would force them in the heat on the first notice. I can understand a policy change or perhaps security/safety concerns but she had been waiting in the lobby this entire time without issue. They could have handled the situation better.

However, we got here around 1:30 and were greeted right away. When we first got there, there were 2 associates working at the time. They were both nice and very attentive. They were relatively busy but they both handled it with patience, grace and kindness. About halfway thru our visit, the young man who worked there left (I'm assuming his shift was over) so it was just the girl left, her name was Deb. She continued to help everyone in the store and never left anyone unaddressed. She was AMAZING! She never seemed overwhelmed but still made sure everyone had everything they needed. She was SO good with my daughter, it was very refreshing to see a business ran so wonderfully. She even took some pictures of us afterwards and was so sweet! The stock they had to choose from was impressive, they had TONS of different styles, designs, themes, etc. They provided the paint, fun stencils, water to wash your brushes off with, sponges to clean your item off beforehand, aprons (even small aprons for my daughter), TONS of different brushes in different sizes, as well as tons of other things to make our experience enjoyable. Like any place of business, there were some pieces that were pretty pricey, but they also had items that were on sale so if you wanted to stay budget friendly, you totally could. We asked about the studio fee upfront and any other possible costs and they explained it all very well. I spent under $25 for both my daughter and myself, including tip. We were there for over 2 hours and I'm already looking forward to the next time we get to go. It was the best time we've had in a while, especially being able to stay inside away from the Oklahoma heat.

Rather than teach he tells you to use google to find things out then he failed one student on a group project but not the whole group. Someone needs to turn this place in for employing teachers like this. Unfair and uneducated teachers in this school makes Oklahoma look bad and shows nothing but lack of concern for our future.

I have been in the 'new' JoAnns in Ed Noble Parkway a few times lately while helping my…read moregranddaughter learn to sew. I'm so disappointed in the store. The condition of the store reminds me of the poorly managed Dollar General stores. Especially in the fabric department everything is just thrown everywhere, patterns and books are unkept, 8 of 10 patterns we looked for they didn't have. When we asked questions, the employees we talked to were not helpful and knew little about sewing. The store was much better before it moved to this location. It's really too bad there aren't many fabric stores in OKC area anymore. If there were others, I wouldn't be going to JoAnns.
