Had a pre-spring tune-up on whole house A/C on 4/28/2016. Found I needed a evaporator coil valve. Called for service 6/8'ish because A/C was failing. Service Tech. Michael Bonser (Sp?) was on scene 6/9 and discovered the part had not been ordered. Mr. Bonser immediately confirmed the order had tanta-mounted slipped through the cracks ( which can happen any time) and guarranted he would taked care of the situation ASAP. He explained ( in laymens terms) the situation and cause of the current lack of AC. Note: The A/C is only four'ish years of age. Mr. Bonser was extremely polite, knowledgable, answered all my questions. It was quit invigorating to see an employee of any service company to appear so helpful NEAR the end of a work day. Last Thursday (May 1, 2016) I called ARS Rescue Rooters desperate for help. My air conditioning had gone out the morning before and I had called the company I had previously worked with. The prior company owner said he was just a few blocks away and would be over mid afternoon. Awesome right? NO! That was Wednesday, he never showed, never called. I called him TWICE Thursday morning and afternoon....nothing. SO I called ARS at 4:30 pm Thursday. Within an hour JIM G was at my house. Within 24 hours the whole system had been replaced. They immediately made me their priority. KEVIN W came to my house to discuss options, and KYLE and KERRY installed the system. ALL THESE GUYS KNOW THEIR STUFF. My old system was 17 years old. It was 90+ degrees outside, our air conditioner was not working & the inside house temperature was 93 degrees. It was Saturday morning, I called ARS for service. Joe called & confirmed that he was en route within a specific time of arrival. He promptly arrived, very courteous, professional, troubleshooted the a/c & determined the power assist device (PAD) needed to be replaced. He replaced the PAD, cleaned the controls, & checked the PSI of the system. Within 90 minutes, our a/c was operational & cooling the house. Excellent work! Since the Carrier a/c unit was three years old, Joe assisted us in claiming this repair as a warranty claim with Carrier. I would highly recommend Joe & ARS for HVAC service/repair. read more

I had to have ARS send a couple of technicians out to service my new unit. Steve showed up on a Saturday and fixed the problem at the time. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. However, my unit required another technician to come out the following Monday. Lee was the technician that responded to the trouble call. Being a retired Marine Officer of 26 years, I feel I can make a good judgement on people. This man was nothing short of Outstanding! Extremely pleased with the service that I received, not only from ARS/Wilmington but from Kenny Wilson as well. He was very easy to talk to and very genuine in his dealings with me. Stetson was on time, honest assessment of HVAC system, and courteous. The salesman, Cliff explained how the energy ratings apply to the type of HVAC system that needed to be installed. He gave me three estimates at three price points, and we were able to come to an agreement. The installation team of Mike and DJ arrived prepared to work and started immediately. The installation took most of the day, and Mike kept me up to speed with progress reports as the day went on. Chris S. did our semi annual maintenance check up today. He handled himself in a professional manner. He was very thorough. He has excellent people and communication skills in explaining the current condition of our two units. He found a number of potential problems with our two 9 year old units that would involve a lot of money to repair or replace. Based on my experience with ARS over the last 9 years, they always seem to give you the sky is falling sales pitch. I am used to it, and try to make the best possible decision. You would get better service from North Korea. These people will lie and try to cheat you out of every penny they can get. They have a service department that is only concerned with trying to sell you something you don't need. Mike Arnold the manager and Greg Hayes the so called customer service person have "NO" interest in their customers needs. I just moved into a home that I purchased a few day before. I called ARS to evaluate my heating and air conditioning units in preparation for the winter months. Colan, the technician, was very professional in appearance and in his evaluation of my heating and air conditioning units. He took the time to throughly explain the condition of all of my units and even helped me locate the underground propane tank that I thought was missing. Responsive technician (Kristofer) arrived, got straight to the problem. That was resolved in a matter of minutes. Then, I was able to discuss diagnostics, what caused it and gave me several options, of which I did not select the cheapest, but what was suitable for my risk tolerance. David &Jake arrived on schedule, removed & replace the heat pump. David was very helpful with his instructions of how to operate the new thermostat and answered all our questions. The paper work was all taken care of by the installation crew. The men cleaned up and hauled away the old unit and all the packaging. Raul arrived promptly to inspect our heating system. He performed a thorough inspection and replaced an important component that had shorted out, which had caused our system to go out. I had another heating and air company that came out before ARS and they checked my system out and promised to come back at a later time to fix my problem. I set 2 appointments with them and neither time would they show up so I got frustrated and called ARS and they came out same day and fixed my issue.
