Another update is they really need to refresh the counseling dept. I've never been ignored so much in my life as I have been by these counselors. I've also heard my kids and their friends say the same kinds of things. They are just not good. If your kid is a go getter, they will do well at East. But I think all types of kids need attention and help too, and the quiet ones fall through the cracks here. Again, something I've dealt with in our family as well as hearing it from other families.

The new leadership team is really making great strides within improving the school experience for both students and parents. I am looking forward to seeing more positive changes moving forward. We have finally found our village amongst our daughter's classmates and are so grateful to be surrounded by such incredible families.

We have had the most positive experience and would highly recommend for any parent looking for a wonderful, loving preschool. The teachers are fantastic, the classroom and play ground are magical and so thoughtfully designed, the activities are very intentional and use high quality supplies/ingredients, the snacks they feed the children are healthy and delicious. Our boys have loved their time at Parzival. There isn't another place we could have imagined sending them in these precious, foundational years.

All in all, we'll be sad when our time at this great little school must end, but are excited that Parzival has offered such a great foundation for her to take the next step in her schooling.

She was initially at Kumon south Lakewood but last September I decided to move her to Kumon Arvada for an easier commute The biggest mistake I've done do not believe Kiko Steinbarth should be in the business of educating children. Her behavior toward students is unacceptable and lacks basic respect. At first, I dismissed my daughter's complaints and encouraged her to continue attending for six months, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, they did not. On April 1, 2026 (and no, this is not an April Fool's review), my daughter's father took her to a session and waited in the lobby. Before my daughter even had a chance to sit down, Kiko began yelling at her--accusing her of completing work with parental help--and threw papers around, telling her everything she had done was wrong. Hearing the situation escalate, her father stepped in, opened the door, and removed our daughter, who was visibly distressed and crying. When asked to come out and discuss the situation, Kiko was still visibly agitated. She later acknowledged that she had raised her voice. Earlier that same morning, her father had emailed Kiko expressing concern about the excessive amount of work assigned over spring break. Kiko responded, and we believed the issue had been addressed. However, it became clear during the session that she was still upset, and instead of handling it professionally, she directed her frustration at our child. This experience was deeply upsetting. No child should be subjected to this kind of treatment in a learning environment. She makes it impossible to communicate by creating a ton of forms and rules that working parents simply don't have time to keep track of. Do not enroll your kids in this location. They are going to be mistreated by Kiko.

It's really made him a better person overall. We do the math program which is about an hour on Monday and Wednesday's and a quick 15 minute exercises. He doesn't mind. His math scores at school have improved.

This is an amazing family run school. The director is amazing and truly puts her heart and soul…read moreinto it. It was a really great find in the country. The owner, Mrs. Lynn, is really calm and so insightful. She teaches montessori and trains teachers in boulder. Her dad comes to the school to do the shoveling and gardening. He is a retired doctor and also helps check out the kids if they fall or have any problems. He is really fun to talk to and has some pretty hilarious stories!! It is out on the outskirts of town which is neat. Not a lot of traffic to get to. They also have pets and animals at the school. Drop offs are super easy. They come to your car. It makes the transition easier for the kids. You sign them in and out from your car (unless it's really cold or rainy). This was such a great find!!!! Update: 11/9/14 This school continues to surprise me. I have been helping out a little in my sons preschool classroom and I absolutely love the new teacher Mrs. Katie. She is wonderful with the little ones. I have also been shadowing the elementary teacher. And oh my goodness she is amazing. They are learning college level biology and 6th grade English in the lower level elementary. The elementary teacher mixes Montessori and Core education. She has over 30 years experience teaching. All the children out of the Kindergarten can read before first grade. The Kindergarten teacher is probably one of the best Montessori teachers in Colorado. She trains Montessori teachers in Boulder at MECR. Next week the kindergarten is doing the human body. They have a working heart model complete with chambers. The class ratio as of November is 4 to 1 elementary, 4 to 1 kindergarten, preschool is 10 to 1. i will be keeping my son here as long as possible.
