The director Dac Cederberg has incredible talent and is on par with other well-known directors such as Harold Prince. Musical director Stacy Miller really killed it and each song was beautiful and very well performed. A lot of the success of the musical can be chalked up to all the talent in the cast, pit orchestra, and techs. Emma Reiger and Abigail Ferguson were perfectly cast for their roles of Katherine Blake and Ellie Blake respectively. Their singing was like something out of American Idol and the acting worthy of an oscar. Ryne Haldeman's choreography was also stunning. From a technical standpoint, you have to give a huge hand to Technical Director Robert Stahly and the other techs. The lighting by Heidi Hansen was beautiful and provocative. The sound designed by Blaze Smith was utterly astounding. The music choices for intermission were inspiring. A few mistakes were made by a tech in sound but were not very noticeable and did not ruin the overall enjoyment. As a final word, I would like to say that the price of $12 an adult for a broadway caliber production is definitely worth it.

Not only does this affect us, but it's made our son feel like dirt. Pretty upset about the decision the principal made in regards to our son. This is a direct reflection of the school as a whole because most likely they are only worried about their numbers. My two boys, currently 13 and 15, are both on the Asperger's spectrum. They were not faring well…read morein public school, despite heroic efforts from the Thompson school district. We turned to Desiderata and have not regretted that decision. Larame and Pandi Spence and their fine staff have worked wonders with my boys. They're progressing well in school and actually look forward to going to school each day. The program is rigorous and course work must be passed with a "B" or better. There is a lot of individual attention given to the students who attend this program. My children go Monday through Thursday from 8:00 to 3:30 during the regular school year and also attend two days a week during the summer (summer school is quite optional). I recommend Desiderata to any parent with students who are not a good "fit" for traditional schools or for anyone wanting a more flexible and home-school type of educational experience. This is not an inexpensive program, but my family has benefitted so greatly from our experience at Desiderata that we don't mind the cost. They have different options and different costs. We chose the most expensive path, which is physical attendance four full days per week. There are other options offered as well including part-time attendance and distance education. There seems to be a program available to fit any student's needs. We're pleased with the school and its administration. It has been a great fit for us.
