    Road ready thanks to Arroyo's.

Sheryle and Brian are amazing coaches. They are extremely friendly and are there to help you reach your max potential in the course. All you need is a positive attitude and an open mind to constructive criticism. The course is completely worth the price to receive valuable training and information from 2 very experienced riders. The yellow grom is a lucky bike, ride it if it's available to practice when you take the course!

Just finished Darrell's motorcycle safety course today (March 23, 2025), and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Darrell is a fantastic instructor--patient, knowledgeable, and great at breaking things down so they actually make sense. He made the whole process smooth and stress-free, and it clearly worked because everyone who made it to the second day passed the skills exam! If you're looking to learn how to ride safely and confidently, this is the course to take. Highly recommend

Took a beginner course with coach Carbon. Learned more than I expected about motorcycles. Make sure to ask him if he likes carbon fiber!

I took the Motorcyclist Training Course over the weekend (03/22/2025 - 03/23/2025) at Mt. Sac. I went in thinking I would not learn a lot (as i learn best by doing) and would spend little time actually on a bike and a lot of time in the classroom. Well... Darrel and Ron were the instructors with Darrel providing the classroom instruction and both he an Ron training riders on the rage with class provided motorcycles. Classroom: There is no way you will leave this class without a firm understanding of the dangers of riding a motorcycle AND what you can do to avoid them. You will be taught all of the controls that are on a motorcycle so when u approach one u will know exactly what you are looking at and what it does. It did not go into grave detail about engine parts or anything like that but how to control the bike in all situations is thoroughly explained. If you apply yourself, you will leave the classroom ready for the range and ready to apply that newly acquired knowledge to hone the skill of riding. Classroom experience was 5-Star Range: Everyone was assigned a motorcycle that suited them and their learning experience. HERE IS WHERE I WISH I COULD GIVE 10 STARS!!! Have you ever heard the phase "He on yo helmet!". They were on our HELMETS!!!! You could not make ONE wrong move without getting the feedback from BOTH instructors. No matter how good you did riding, they found your flaws and made you address them. They were HARD on us. Why? Because riding is dangerous and you have to ALWAYS be on your toes. First day riding I was nervous. But after a few exercises I got the hang of the basics by applying what I learned in the class and read before class. By day 2 it felt like I had been riding for much longer than 2 days lol. I passed the written test in the class with a 96% and got a perfect scoring on the riding skills test. Had Darrel not been on my Helmet reminding me "TURN YO HEAD BEFORE THE TURN! COVER THE CLUTCH! DONT COVER THE BREAK!" and triple repeating what would be on the written exam, I don't think I would have done as well. If Ron had not been on my helmet reminding me to down shift when I come to a stop, I would not be ready to take off when need be from a stop. These brothas spared no feelings in favor of safety and education. But no one is hard on you while encouraging you if they don't believe in you. There were 12 students when we started. One student was excused. Everyone else passed and got the certificate. The student was excused for their safety and the safety of others (Non performance on the range). I completed the course yesterday and am currently waiting on the DL389 to come in the mail. I went to DMV this morning (03/24/2025), took the M1 written test, and passed that too. Most of what was on the test at DMV was covered in the Class with Darrel. If you plan to ride and are looking to educate yourself to be safe before hand... Pay the $425 and take the class. Its well worth it. It will save u so much money, heartache and pain in the long run. I have no regrets and will be sending anyone who asks to this particular class. THANK YOU DARREL AND RON!

Outstanding class highly recommended. Brian and Carbon are awesome instructors . tons of attention to Detail willing to answer any question even if it's dumb really appreciate all the guidance I was given they showed that they really care

I didn't have any experience when starting out the Arroyo Motorcycle Training class at Mt. Sac, but I was welcomed by Coach Carbon who was a big help with both the written exam and the motorcycle riding training. The class was very thorough and had a clear lesson plan from the start. The structure was organized and I was able to learn the 9 chapters required for the written exam on motorcycle safety. The riding portion was with a smaller group of 6, but it was a good pace and beginner-friendly for both days. I was able to learn the basics on how to ride a motorcycle and also the more advanced techniques on day two. The enthusiasm and passion can be felt from Coach Carbon as well as Coach Roy at this program. I definitely recommend this course for anyone who has 0 or a little experience riding motorcycles because it made me want to ride one even more.

Amazing place to learn the basic fundamentals of riding a motorcycle as well as re learning basic riding knowledge even though I been riding for quite a while I did learn a lot of new stuff. Coach Carbon and Coach Ron were amazing they made sure you understood what they were teaching in the classroom before you stepped onto a motorcycle. Furthermore they made sure to explain every motorcycle exercise very thoroughly so you can understand it. Also shout out to coach carbon for showing me were to buy a one piece leather suit for when I go learn how to ride a motorcycle track.

Darrell was my instructor and let me tell you he knows what he was doing. Most of the class was all new riders and can pinpoint each and every one of our issues when we had them. Super kind willing to answer any and all of our questions and was super encouraging.

Ask the Community - Arroyo's Motorcycle Training at Mt SAC

Can I take the range (on-cycle) portion only? I took your course 20 yrs ago. Got licensed but did not actively ride.

Wow! Well you can still take the class. We would be happy to help you rediscover the basics again. FYI it’s completely different course than what you took. However you would be required to do the entire course (classroom and riding).

If we pass the written test at the dmv do we still have to take it again at the course?

Yes. The DMV test is a completely different test then the one we give at the training school.

Are the motorcycles provided for the class?

We provide the motorcycles, gloves and helmets as well.

Do you have to take the DMV ride test if you take this class?

There is no prerequisite. All you need is a valid ID and two consecutive days of free time.

What does this course cost? How long is it?

    $425 if you’re 21 and older $395 if you’re 20 and younger It’s a 2 day course and you’re with us for… Read more

Bikes provided or you have to bring your own?

    Bikes and helmets are provided.

    Are you still closed?

    We are open for business.

When are you planning to re open now?

    We are open

    Are you currently open?

Unfortunately we are still closed due to COVID-19. We are planning on reopening late February.

When will you have classes available?

Hello looking to start a class for beginners. When will you be starting? And where can we sign up

    When will you reopen?

We are hoping to be open for scheduling next week.

Do I need to be a Mt sac student inable to enroll the class?

Absolutely not.....we are open to the community at large.

Can I wear tight ankle high rain boots?

They must provide support for the ankle not simply cover it. So it has to be sturdy.

Do you need your own motorbike to learn or is there one I can rent there? I am interested in learning because I will be going to the Philippines and I'd like to get around with a bike, never rid a motorcycle before, but own a stick shift car before.

Great question Maria. We provide the motorcycle the helmet and gloves. All you need is sturdy over the ankle boots, a pair of sturdy jeans (no holes or tears) and a long sleeved shirt.

How much does the training cost?

Do regular sunglasses work for "protective eyewear" or do they have to be the bulky motorcycle goggles?

Regular sunglasses will work for the speeds we will be going.

Can I wear high top shoes like vans or do I have to wear boots to the class?

You must wear sturdy over the ankle footwear. You can text me a photo of what you had in mind and I will let you know if they work. 714-343-5244

Do i need my motorcycle permit to take this class?

Pedro you do not need a motorcycle license or permit to take our class. You will need a valid ID a license, state ID, or even a passport will work.

If we have our permit, are we able to bring our own motorcycle to the class for comfort?

If you’re planning on using your bike it can’t be more than 500 ccs

Are there any advance classes after you complete this course?

We currently working on it. We post once we’ve completed the course.

I had looked around and read reviews and this place came up with stellar ratings. I called and spoke with Alyssa who was able to provide information over text which made it super convenient. I liked that they were able to work around my daughter's school and sport schedule. They also took into consideration when she would be taking her actual drivers test so that she would be as prepared as possible. There were a couple of scheduling mishaps that happened and this is where the service really stood out. I appreciated that Alyssa was quick to respond and called me to make things right.
