We had rented from them several times and were heading into a busy year. He asked how many more times we figured we were going to rent from him, and recommended we buy a used scooter. This has probably saved us several 100 so far. We bought a hitch rack to take it around on, they put it on for us. I was looking for a rollator, but every one I saw was too narrow (I'm a big guy). Before we were through asking, he walked into the next room and brought over one. It's in our car now. It fits me perfectly. Their prices are reasonable, they are wonderful. Give them your business.

They got me in the same week -- already a win. After the first service, we started noticing some preexisting issues that showed up once things were moving better. I brought it back in, and this is where I was really impressed. During that second repair visit, John (the owner) sat down with me personally. He took the time to walk me through exactly what was going on with my equipment, what it meant, and how to take care of it going forward. He didn't rush it, and he didn't talk over my head -- just honest, clear help. If you depend on mobility gear like I do, that kind of service really matters. If I could, I would give Hammer Medical a negative 10. They are the worst. I could not receive my…read moremedical supplies without paying for them first (as expected)...sometimes I would pay w/cash, check or credit card. I always made sure to get e receipt. Than they starting sending me bills in the mail for the supplies I already paid for. Than they started sending me itemized billing, that they had changed the date(s) on, saying I owed even more $$ than the before billing statements they sent. Than they started sending me threatening billing statements saying they were going to sue me for $$ owed. I replied, please do. Please sue me, because I will counter sue showing proof that I pre-paid for my medical supplies & show how Hammer changed the dates and added more $$$$ owed + I will counter sue for all the grief and stress Hammer put me through while fighting stage 4 anal cancer. I also contacted the Department of Human Services and sent them copies of all my receipts along w/ Hammer's bogus itemized billing statements. Needless to say, Hammer quit sending me billing statements and I (luckly) found Unity Point at Home (A+) and now get ALL of my medical supplies from Unity Point. AVOID HAMMER MEDICAL AT ALL COST!!

It cost us $172.00 just to tell us that they couldn't fix it. We called another mobility place that took 10 minutes in total to tell us what needed to be fix in our situation, and have me back on the road with no issues. Mobility Works tried to tell me that I would have to buy another lift that would cost around $5000. I would not recommend them to any of my friends or family because they just rip you off. I brought this to their attention all they could say that the part was probably not in stock. If that was the case why wouldn't tell me that then. Instead of telling me that it couldn't be fixed. They didn't even offer I'm sorry for your inconvenience or we can make this right. I didn't ask for any money back but a sorry and we will work on our communication skills would of gone a long way with me.
