THEN, we had two more sessions, one with a pressure washer, which he used very well to clean old debris from the surfaces, and then with another long session, coated in a very meticulous way all the parts with an oil-base stain. It looks brand new, and feels much stronger on the rails, steps and so forth. In addition to the deck, he gave the same treatment to a set of wood stairs (replacing one step), that goes down for the deck level to the creek behind the house. To say he renewed the deck is an understatement. So reach him at info@ModernHandyPro.com or 865-375-5273. I recommend him highly in terms of the quality of his work and very fair rates. They've done all kinds of work on different parts of the house, in and out. They've also helped manage/oversee other types of work (putting in an asphalt drive for example). I think it's inevitable that my wife will find other things to repair or replace; at least with them I know we'll get a good deal and good work and I don't have to worry each time about who is tromping around my house!
