I was a resident at Meadowbrook Village from July 2022 to June 2023 (1 Year lease). The move in…read moreprocess was fairly simple & stress-free. I had reached out to Amy (property manager) via email, and started the application process. There were only a few negative things that I could say about the apartment. #1 - On move in day, I discovered that there was a piece missing from the wood floor in the living room, which I reported over email promptly, along with the garbage disposal not working. Maintenance came quickly and fixed the garbage disposal, but the floor still remained damaged upon moving out as they never came to fix it. #2 - During the winter months of 2022 & 2023, I discovered that anytime I turned on my heat, the fire/carbon monoxide alarm would go off. I reported this multiple times, and was told that it was just because "there is dust in the vents". It was frustrating that I couldn't turn on my heat without the alarm going off and it seemed like my concerns were being shrugged off as nothing. Eventually, after enough complaining, Maintenance came up with the great idea that they should get someone from HVAC involved. They then found out that reason behind the alarm going off was because of the heater leaking gas which is very dangerous, hence the other negative aspect of this apartment - I would smell gas 24/7. Even when I had guests over, they would make comments about the smell. The heater got replaced, along with the fire/smoke alarms. That solved that issue, but I still always smelled gas. #3 - Rent pricing. My rent was $1255 during the 12 month lease, and Simon Companies (property owner) decided to bump it up to $1415 if I wanted to sign a new 12 month lease. Absolutely ridiculous! I understand that the new pricing is still cheaper than most apartments in the area, but they need to start upgrading some things before they start to up the rent. This is the main reason behind why I decided to move out. I could see my rent being almost $2000 if I were to stay for the next couple of years. #4- When I was in the process of moving out, my new rental management company had sent MB paperwork to fill out regarding my payment history, etc. to make sure that I would be a good fit for a new resident at their community. Per Matthew, one of the leasing agents at MB - he stated that Amy, the property manager, had lots to do that week including evictions in court, etc. and that she would fill it out ASAP. My new property management company was astonished when finding that out because they know how important that paperwork is to get someone approved, and the fact that MB staff really didn't care to fill it out, is very unprofessional - given the fact that it takes 5 minutes or less to complete. This place is also not smoke free. That is what they advertise, but I could never have my windows open. All you will smell 24/7 is either weed or cigarettes. All of the negative comments aside, Meadowbrook Village was not a bad place to live. Every place is going to have their downsides. I was happy that their corporate office was able to return my security deposit to me in a timely manner.

I…read morewanted to lease with them and was planning on signing a 2 to 3 year lease because the prices seemed good on their website, but I'm so incredibly frustrated that I found somewhere else and willing to pay more in rent because of this. It's really messed up that they don't answer the phone or call back after leaving multiple voicemails and messages with their answering service. There are other complexes in the area with actual customer service and that actually give a shit about returning calls. If I could leave negative stars I would.

All of our interactions/communications were very positive. Before the job, everything was very transparent from pricing, the work to be done, options available, etc. And the crew performing the work was extremely professional. Prior to contacting Premier, we had water issues in our basement which made our basement nearly unusable; after getting moderate rain we'd get big puddles of water. After Premier installed the french drain, the basement has become our home office, our workout room, and we can store things without worrying about water damage. Four years later, the basement has been BONE DRY ever since - no water whatsoever, no matter had hard it rains. If you're on the fence, I can say: "do it" - it's been 100% worth it for us, and has transformed the way we use our basement. And Premier Basement Waterproofing is absolutely the company to use, to get the job done right.

Marvin the young man who ran the job site is absolutely amazing , I can't say enough good things about him . The price was a little higher than quotes that came in after I went with Premier but if I had those quotes before and could of saved 2k I would choose not to and stay with Premier mainly because of those 3 people I named. I had a foot of water in my basement after a storm, Marvin arrived and put a sump pump in to drain all the water . He got Jerry to come in and look it over for a quote. I'll post the price and work done. - Came out and drained all the water with sump pump - they demoed a whole room , taking down all the walls , heating system and doors then disposed of all the wood. -they dug , installed about 100 sq feet of French drain , poured drainage gravel on top then re-cemented over it. - they installed a 2 pump system with battery back up and alarm - they installed a moisture barrier on the entire basement - They dug a trench and ran sump line out to safe area outside - Took 3 full days to complete - they stayed until 9pm on a Friday to be sure it was 100% completed. - everything was about 15k in total If you use them make sure you ask for Marvin to do the work , he's very honest and answers all your questions without trying to upsell anything . They literally just left my house at 9pm because they wanted it finished before tomorrows rain , only thing left is Jerry was going to have someone reconnect the heating but everything water proof wise is complete. I'll update the review if there's any issues but as of this moment I've never felt better about a service.

During this time, she was virtually unreachable. Never answering calls, returning messages, or responding to texts. This past December, unbeknownst to the unit owners, she illegally closed our HOA account, let the building insurance lapse, and has simply disappeared. She has left all unit owners in the lurch with bills unpaid and having to search for a new insurance company. I am a new owner in this building and haven't even yet opened my business, and this is what I am currently embroiled in. We are filing a police report and will have a full investigation of the withdrawals that were made prior to closing the HOA account. She is untrustworthy and operates with deception.

I tried again to reach the contact number listed and yet again have not received any response. A simple response would be appreciated but it appears they simply do not care.

Im writing this review as a warning to potential renters-…read more DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT RENT any apartment in this complex. The manager is a horrible person. Period. If you have any issue (example: I had things stolen from the "storage" they provide) or complain about how long it takes to have an urgent repair completed, she makes veiled threats of eviction. It's absurd! There is mold in every unit!! Every single solitary unit, so prepare to make multiple trips to the doctor with your children for their respiratory issues,or your own. The pool they offer is a cesspool and that is being kind. No one knows how to care for it, or bothers to. Tenants have thirty of their family members over, then tell you that the pool is closed to other residents that day because their child is celebrating their birthday. The skimmers are filled with rotting mice. They don't shock it, or vacuum it or check the levels. The owners of the property are too cheap to pay the cost to have regulation sized dumpsters installed, so trash overflowing and mice and other vermin are a constant issue. Several of the units have roaches. The police were in and out of here almost every other night when we lived here. My wife got to the point where she was scared to be home by herself at night while I worked, that's when I knew we had to leave. Of course, per her usual scheme, good ole Kath tried forcing us to pay over $1200 in "repair" costs. I think not. I watched her pull that on 3 different people when we lived there and there was no damage to our unit, other than the general wear and tear. Oh also, if you want to live here, you have to purchase 100k worth of renter's insurance- take that at face value.

They almost never answer the phone on a weekend. They failed more than once to call me back regarding my laundry card that was eaten by the machine so not only could I not do laundry but I was not reimbursed for the money put on that card. I've had the maintenance people come into my apartment without my permission or knowledge. I discovered a case of bed bugs and was told they were skeptical of my claim and that they've had calls like this before but hadn't done anything. On top of that I had filed noise complaints and nothing was done. I almost got bit by a dog in my building as well who clearly violates their animal size policy. I have an infant and he is the reason why we are leaving Forest Ridge Apartments. It is fairly well maintained, for what seems like a good price, but if you want a landlord who will help you with anything and wont put the blame on you then I suggest looking else where. I'm extremely disappointed in them, and will not be recommending them to anyone!!

My two reply texts inquiring as to which property he was messaging me about went unanswered. Then when I requested a secure email communication, in lieu of texting, I was told that I don't know how to follow the instructions given to me via text and that he would need that to know who I am. If you don't know who I am why are you messaging me...? Completely unprofessional and frankly quite rude. Scam or not, this is not someone I feel comfortable doing business with. Update: before I was evan able to hit [post] I have been called twice and yelled at by this unprofessional individual. VERY bad bussiness practices. When I say I prefer email communications over unsecured text messages and then you call and yell at me TWICE, don't expect my patronage. Update II: Now I have reveived a yelp message threatening to post our text conversation (which I have already attached) if I do not remove this review. Professionalism is lacking at this establishment. Update III: Now, because I insisted on finding out exactly who I was speeking to (after his refusal to answer direct questions) before offering up any of my personal information, he is claiming I am a drug user. I reiterate the completly unprofessional manner in which he conducts business. Update IV: Now the owner is attempting to pressure me to take down my review of our interaction. I can not stress any more how disrecpectful, condescending and unprofessional this man is. If he was this inconsiderate to a prospective tenant I can not imagine how he may respond to issues, if any, during a tenancy. I do not recommend anyone go any further in the application process than I unfortunatly had, with only my initial inquiry.
