Despite repeatedly notifying management and requesting updates, the bathroom was still out of service when I ultimately vacated and returned my keys. I later learned repairs continued well after I moved out. I documented the conditions, communicated everything in writing, requested mediation, and repeatedly attempted to resolve the matter professionally. I ended up being falsely charged for time when the unit was unhabitable. Harland should be investigated for their conduct through the proper channels of property and state law regulators. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution prospective tenants considering this management company. Representatives at this office will avoid taking phone calls and providing any service. Devon will ignore portal questions and try to change contract terms on a whim, completely unprofessional. La Jolla and San Diego is a small community, and I will make sure my friends, associates, and contacts in the local real estate community are aware of my experience so they can avoid Harland Property Management and Mr. Kayvon's fraudulent business practices . Additionally, see the attached photo of a message they sent out requesting any maintenance requests for their properties to be held for a month because they're "too busy", enjoy dealing with that level of service.

Every family member including the dog had a fantastic stay and left feeling fulfilled. As a side note, there are two local coffee spots close by, a handful of restaurants and a small park within walking distance. It's not unusual to have an agent tire or get hasty about this long-winded process, but Curt was honest: He'd tell us if a home didn't have "good bones," or if there was something off, even if we hadn't noticed it. He attended to all our requests in a wonderful manner, even if after a long day, we wanted to go back and look at property #1 again! The Offer: Well, there were multiple of those. But Curt was cautious, conscientious, and strong when he had to be throughout the bidding and countering process. We had to buy two reading lamps because the lighting was inadequate and many of the bulbs in the track lighting in the living room were not working. The entertainment system was a nightmare with more than 10 plus cords at the back of the entertainment unit and even one narrow cord leading out the window! The kitchen faucet needs replacing and the succulent planters were scruffy and not taken care of. Bring a small car. The owner uses half the garage to park his car and store his stuff. We could not comfortably open the passenger door when our car was parked in the garage, so the passenger was required to exit the vehicle before it was parked in the garage. Seems the owner wants it both ways: rent out his property and use it as a personal storage locker. The best aspect was Patricia from Pacific Coastal Properties.
