I've never dated a Mexican but I've dated and used to also be married to a Salvadoran, in total 10 years, not to mention since my childhood been friends with many people from central/south america, eaten the food and also know how to cook it. So I like to think I know my way around Latin American cuisines!! Now people can question if this is authentic or not and let me tell you that each Salvadoran family I knew would cook the same dish (lets say Tamales) a slightly different way, doesn't make it wrong! The elements of Arriba Grills dishes are that of Latin American, no question about that. Actually biting in to the chicken burrito I ordered reminded me a lot of the typical dishes my ex mother in law would make. Chicken with rice, salsa, black beans, avocado, lettuce etc. The servings are huge! Still, I devoured my half of the nachos in record time and then polished off my half of the burrito. I do feel like some elements were slightly lacking, salt is needed I think to enhance some of the flavours, perhaps they are taking the 'health' concept too far? Lol unlikely but damn I do love me some salt! The salsa is just so fresh and I loved the hint of coriander. No jar stuff here! I'd definitely come back again, beats Subway hands down, that shit is nasty!!! Problem: not enough good Mexican food in Adelaide. Solution: Arriba burritos! The newest addition to the Mexican food scene in Radelaide, Arriba gets my wholehearted tick of approval. Here are some reasons why: 1) They're organic. They care about produce and you can tell in the flavour. 2) If I were ever to get a tattoo, I'd seriously consider getting a burrito. That's how much I like burritos. 3) They put lime in the rice. Lime adds the perfect fresh zing to the burrito. 4) The serving sizes are FREAKING MASSIVE. Just as a good burrito should be. 5) Ease of ordering. You simply select from 5 easy choices and there you have it. 6) You can also get vegan or vego options. 7) See reason 2. 8) You can get Coronas OR Fruit Boxes to wash down your burrito. It's awesome that it's mostly organic, but the food is not up to par. First, the ingredients are mostly cold, and eating a cold burrito is hardly enjoyable. Second, the beans were under-cooked and the hot sauce/salsa was weak. Third, the guacamole is NOT guacamole and they charge an extra $2 for it. My burrito literally had huge chunks of avocado in it. Guacamole is not avocado straight from the fruit (is it a fruit?), guacamole is avocado smashed up really well and mixed with finely diced onions, tomatoes, chilis, salt & pepper and sometimes other spices. It should be like a paste, and should not be chunky. I could hardly consider this Mexican food, and the person who said it was Tex Mex has clearly never had true Tex Mex. I'm from the US...and that is NOT Tex Mex or Mexican...it's an Australian version of a Mexican dish that lacks the flavor ob Tex Mex and lacks the authenticity of Mexican food. Hardworking and busy day today--the solution on the way home: Get some margarita mix to go with the tequila we have at home and pick up a couple of custom made burritos from the Arriba Grill in Prospect. The result was two dinner-sized silver torpedos-jalapeño spicy for me and mild-mild-mild for Susie. As always (this was our 4th visit) they prepared a tasty, organic, tortilla wrapped meal to go. Tips: 1) If you are in a hurry and they are busy, you might want to pass. Not because the service is poor, but because they hand-craft each burrito to order, it takes a little time. We think it's worth the wait. 2) These are not the traditional burritos you find in Tex-Mex cuisine, but more of a mexican rice platter wrapped in a tortilla--it's a popular style now, but you only need to order one. 3) Bring money--these are pricy burritos. $10 each, plus $2 for guacamole (why???). $24 for two burritos make this a once-in-a-while stop. In Los Angeles (where I will be in two weeks for the holidays) you'd get four burritos for that price. I used to love Arriba - I was even SUPER excited to have moved nearby so that I could enjoy their tasty offerings reguarly...but the quality, taste and appeal has gone down hill. I've been here on a number of occasions recently, had a try of a number of dishes and they simply don't compare to others elsewhere - that are a little cheaper too. Don't get me wrong - these burritos, nachos and salad bowls are still okay, but they just aren't great. I also don't have full confidence in their version of 'Organic' as they state they "use organic ingredients where possible" which is great but they charge a premium price for something that they can't guarantee - now i go to a few organic cafes around the place, all of which charge a bit more for the privilege - the difference? They guarantee organic produce. I'll probably return (maybe) but only because they are nearby - I wouldn't be going out of the way for this.... read more

Arriba Grill works like Subway but way way better. Firstly, the ingredients are organic. Secondly, you get to choose your own ingredients, which means there's an endless number of combinations, and thirdly you get to eat your burrito and chase it down with a Corona, it doesn't get any better than that. The pulled pork was a little dry, so I tend to stick with the beef these days. The hot salsa is gradually getting hotter everytime I go, which is great as it started out pretty mild. The servings are very generous and if I'm not starving, I can eat one burrito for two meals. There's not too many seating spots, though one of the tables is directly in front of a retro gaming console and an old school TV. Very cool. I cannot vouch for their authenticity, but I can vouch for their flavour. Tasty, though you have to bear in mind that their burritos always seem to come out cold. Not so great for winter, but definitely a hit in summer when the last thing you want is a big hot meal. Have dinner here and have dessert at Devour and you have yourself an evening of deliciousness. read more

Arriba serves big, fresh tasty Tex Mex style burritos like those I've had before in Berlin and New York but haven't yet discovered in Oz... until now. It's a small shop on Prospect Road with a rad mural on the outside wall and a cosy comfortable modern interior. Take Away is just fine too and at around $10 a pop you get a hugely decent feed. These guys are keen on the certified organic, local produce business and provide heaps of information on the origin of their ingredients on the facebook page. That's all very nice and admirable - but now does it taste..... gargh, loll, drool, um... WOW. The pork is just the bomb dizzle - but you'll be lucky if you catch it cos I rush in to eat it all before anyone else can even shout "hey, stop that piggy" (I don't know if that's aimed at me - or the pork, but - meh). I love the concept... Organic Mexican burritos, the self order slips, Alex the kid on Sega on an old school tv set. But... contrary to the other 2 reviews I didn't think the serve was THAT big. I've just come back from living in California and the standard serve there is muuch bigger for less money. Granted, it's organic, which I love, particularly when lettuce is so heavily sprayed with pesticides these days. But $2 extra for "guacamole" that is basically avocado with chunks of tomato in it? I dunno, I hate getting charged for "extras" that should be standard especially when the price is already around $10. The self order slips are a great idea but there should be a sign that says - "fill out your order here and place it in the thingy". I filled mine out and put it in place after seeing someone else do it and I still managed to get someone elses chicken burrito (I didn't find this out until I took a big bite out of it). I politely went up to the counter and told them that I got a chicken burrito and I'm vegetarian... She's was very apologetic and offered to give me a refund. I'd be more upset if it wasn't at a place like this with organic free range chicken, it's still a little annoying, not to mention a waste of a perfectly good burrito. But... I received my correct order and was served by someone else who I then told that the other lady offered a refund, he was a bit of a dick about it and gave me $10 instead of $11. I wasn't gonna argue over a dollar so I took my food, sat down with my wife and ate it. It was oh kay... There was something crunchy in it and I think it might've been the black beans. It seemed like they weren't soaked or cooked long enough. When I've had burritos previously the beans and rice were hot, or at least warm, and I like it that way better. I wish the pinto beans they offered were vegetarian as a side note. I ordered the "hot (tomatillo)" sauce and it was the equivalent of mild doritos salsa. Hot sauce is a big deal in the states and I presume Mexico so it's a bit weak that the hot option is so mild. Maybe they could have a wider spectrum. Overall, it was good, not excellent. I'll probably go back some day. I want to support it because there are so few organic restaurants around. As you can see from the many reviews on this page, customers LOVE organic food, one of the main reasons they eat here and same for me too... except this place in NOT ORGANIC anymore. Changed owners and suppliers to non-organic in March 2017. I only found out in a conversation with the embarrassed and very awkward feeling staff as I ordered what I thought was organic food. Turns out it wasn't anymore. I won't be eating here anymore. The website still says organic. There are no signs anywhere saying - "by the way, we don't sell organic food anymore, even though the big sign outside still says 'Organic' and so does all our advertising." Completely unethical. Lying to customers. Making staff feel uncomfortable and expecting them to say nothing unless asked. Feeding your trusting customers who have chosen to eat organic, with cheap, factory farmed meat and toxic sprayed vegetables. read more

The food was good and very flavoursome. The serves are of a good size too. The major down side here is that you cannot buy extra tortia chips for your meal. They even conceded that - as a popular request. The venue is quite quaint and tiny. Overall, the food was tasty but pricy. read more

It's so fresh and pretty tasty. The pulled pork is very authentic....and unlike other Latino places it's not too spicy, although you can choose it to be with your salsa. I recommend the soft tortillas, the burrito is good but a little cold dud to all the fresh salad inside. Overall it's quick healthy tasty and an undiscovered gem for us.... Although now that we ve discovered it it's a weekly thing. I may try the nachos next ;) read more

If I had reviewed last week, I would have given 4 stars. Today, I'd like to give it a zero (but unfortunately I can't select a zero rating). I'm a vegetarian, ordered a vege burrito with lime rice and avocado. I currently have food poisoning from this eating burrito. I should have walked away when I noticed all the flies hovering over the tables inside their shop. The person that served me did not know how to work the iPad to place the order so ended up charging me extra. This place is so not worth the stomach pains I am experiencing right now... read more
