I have never been in to Colonel Sams without at least 5 people in front of me, and it isn't because they are slow and I never eat fast food on public holidays! Colonel Sams is definately the balls! they always have a minimum of 6 people working behind the counter on the grills and prep areas and the food is usually up lickedy split! I have also had a burger from them (like Paul M), but I went for the beef variety. It did fall apart for me, but that was no fault of the burger nor those who made it. I was just inhaling that sucker....it never stood a chance! I also really like the hotdogs (I never order Chicken from a Chicken shop, I'm weird like that!).

So I like to think I know my way around Latin American cuisines!! Now people can question if this is authentic or not and let me tell you that each Salvadoran family I knew would cook the same dish (lets say Tamales) a slightly different way, doesn't make it wrong! The elements of Arriba Grills dishes are that of Latin American, no question about that. Actually biting in to the chicken burrito I ordered reminded me a lot of the typical dishes my ex mother in law would make. Chicken with rice, salsa, black beans, avocado, lettuce etc. The servings are huge! Still, I devoured my half of the nachos in record time and then polished off my half of the burrito. I do feel like some elements were slightly lacking, salt is needed I think to enhance some of the flavours, perhaps they are taking the 'health' concept too far? Lol unlikely but damn I do love me some salt! The salsa is just so fresh and I loved the hint of coriander. No jar stuff here! I'd definitely come back again, beats Subway hands down, that shit is nasty!!! On an odd note one of the staff members went to say something to me as I was leaving but then changed his mind and said not to worry about it.......yeah well now I'm in deep frustration and thought as to what he wanted to say lol!

The menu is based mainly on Malaysian street food styles... Delicious Roti with your choices of curries, many styles of Nasi Lemak, Rendang, plus Noodle and Rice dishes galore. Their drink selection is very Malay.. Coffee and Tea (either separate or together). The Staff were very pleasant and the décor, nothing special but certainly comfortable and appropriate.

A saving grace for Malaysians and Singaporeans away from home!…read more In the 17 years I've lived in Adelaide, the only way I could have REAL satay was to make it myself. Thankfully, there is now Papparich. Whilst many Malaysians and Singaporeans from states like NSW and Vic say that it's "not the best", I say, beggars can't be choosers and when you really have a hankering for proper roti and satay, this is it. 1) The menu is all authentic. It's not been diluted or modified to cater to the western palate like many Asian restaurants. 2) I can sit in there, close my eyes and the accents I hear, I am brought back to any eatery in Malaysia or Singapore, except that it's not hot and humid. 3) I haven't given it 5-stars because ... I wish there was the Nonya style of laksa and the Singapore-style of Char Kuay Teow. Every other dish, Singapore has a version of, and I'm quite happy with what is there. 4) The prices whilst not the prices one would get in Malaysia and Singapore, won't break your pocket either. For me, the must-try is the Satay. If you've never had Satay in Malaysia and Singapore, you have to try it here. You will never order "chicken satay" as an entree elsewhere again. So far, I have tried the Nasi Lemak. Though I would like for the rice to be more lemak, it's probably better for the waistline that it's not as fragrant with coconut as it should be. The Nasi Lemak comes with different types of meat but the condiments are all the same. I wish there was one with fried fish ... perhaps like a Tommy Ruff which is closest to the herring or mackerel that is included in most packed Nasi Lemaks you'd find on the street or in hawker centres. I usually order the Nasi Lemak with an extra serve of the Sambal Ikan Bilis as I prefer that. The steamed chicken with various styles of noodles is a great meal. I had the Dry Hor Fun (flat rice noodles served with a gravy and not in a soup). It comes with a good serve of blanched bean sprouts and the steamed Hainanese-style Chicken is clean and tender. Really, I think the chicken is poached. There is a dish on the menu that is Deep Fried Chicken Skin ... I want to try it ... but I'm thinking I might go into cholesterol-arrest! They do not take reservations and the minimum for EFTPOS is $20.

Sumo Salad has only been around for a couple of years and have franchise stores nationwide…read more They promote healthy eating and specialise in 'heavy' salads, and do a range of pastas, soup, snacks, breakfasts, bread and wraps too. I have bought the Beef Haloumi in the Myer store before and found it to be too dry and tasteless. I decided to try my luck and get it again at the City Cross store, and it was very nice. Topped with avocado, lettuce, cucumber and red peppers with a roasted garlic dressing, it proved to be a nice lunch. The lettuce was fresh, not limp. The cucumbers and avocado were fresh. They have a wide range of salads which are all served in the takeaway boxes used exactly for Chinese food, which I found to be pretty cool and handy. You can also create your own salad if you're a little pickier. Their prices aren't the cheapest, especially for the non-salad food. Personally, I think it's a little overpriced for the quality that you get, but it's okay.

It's just a bit out from the Parabanks Shopping Centre and most people are likely to go to the deli that's in there rather than walk a few minutes to this one. It's worth the hike though, especially for the pizza dough. We've bought the pizza dough a few times from them and each time it's been just the right consistency. Add to that the cheese and meat from the deli and you have a damn fine pizza. Put it in the oven and... wow... just wow... Forget buying pizza, make it yourself. It's half the fun!!

A lot of the other menu items here are also delicious. I absolutely love their fish and chips, and yiros! It's no Estia at Henley Square, but it's pretty close. The fish is nicely battered, the chips are thick yet crunchy with just the right amount of chicken salt, no more, no less. The yiros also has nice fresh fillings and the meat is cooked nicely. Their trading hours are also good, 11am till 8pm which allows enough time to grab food if you're feeling like a later dinner. They also recently updated their menu, which now includes chicken wings marinated in BBQ sauce, various meal deals, and they cater for Christmas orders. A downfall of this place is its steep prices, the last time I came here I bought a BBQ chicken for around $14. Overall though, it is convenient, tasty food!

The gravy is a bit too runny and the chips definitely aren't salty enough. However, the serving sizes are massive. The first time I went in there I was put off by the fact that one serve cost $5.80. When I received my meal it was gigantic. I literally went into a food coma after demolishing it all. A few of my friends have had their beef schnitzels and they said that they are amazing. On a not so bright note, the service definitely isn't fast. Expect to wait at least 10 minutes for your food. Apart from the chips and gravy, they have a massive selection. Everything you would expect from a fish and chip shop and more. They also advertise that they use cholesterol free oil to cook, but I don't know how important this is when you have shoveled down half a kilogram of chips. The shop is also open for great hours. Hungover on boxing day it was one of the only shops open in my area.

Being in the Salisbury cinema complex I was at first apprehensive at what it could be like. I was worried it would just be a get em in, get em out kind of place. Fortunately it's not, you can sit back and eat and let your waistband on your jeans get tight without feeling threatened to leave. I found the staff to be helpful, especially when deciding on the food, but then they leave you alone, checking up every now and then, but so much that they're interfering. Great hidden treasure.
