Sorry for my long review but I HAD TOO. Walking into Dr. Vijay Arora's office and being greeted by Willow is truly a comforting experience. Her way of speaking immediately puts you at ease she has this calm, gentle tone that makes you feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. It's rare to meet someone in a medical setting who makes you feel like family, but Willow does exactly that. Her professionalism stands out in every interaction. She's attentive, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, yet still warm and approachable. The office itself reflects her standards clean, organized, and welcoming, which only adds to the sense of comfort she creates. During my ultrasound, Willow was exceptionally gentle. She explained everything clearly, checked in often, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. There was no harshness, no rushing just genuine care and skill. Anyone who has the chance to be helped by her will feel supported, respected, and in very good hands. Thank you Willow for making me feel safe and being so sweet. Dr. Vijay Arora is a decent doctor. He's very, very thorough and listens to your concerns. That is why, for the last 3 years I've been his patient, I have put up with the 3 hour office wait times and having to reschedule my appointment after already arriving at the office for said appointment because he's been 4 hours behind on his appointments for whatever the reason. I have put up with the many inconveniences that come with seeing this doctor because, like I stated, he is a decent provider. Now, the reason I'm rating this office with 1 star review now is because of a recent policy they have implemented. If your deductible has not been met, then you must pay $95.00 instead of your normal co-pay. Another inconvenience I decided to look past to continue to receive care from Dr. Arora. I was recently seen for a test.The front office called me the next week letting me know I needed to come back to get my results because they were abnormal (which has been a reoccurring issue since I've been seeing him, this isn't new news). I asked how much this visit will cost since it's just obtaining results, they told me another $95.00. Now, my normal co-pay is $40.00. So I would have to pay an additional $55.00 just to be told what has already been disclosed over the phone with this receptionist. I asked if there was any way I could speak to a provider over the phone to get the results or even have the provider look at my results and prepare some kind of game plan so when I come in for the results they could also preform a procedure to address the issue, so I'm not paying almost $100.00 for them to tell me I need to come back to have a procedure preformed and then pay another $100.00 for that visit as well. Basically, I was asking them to work with me in some way because an additional $55.00 every visit is just a lot when they're making you come back so many times. But, to my dismay, the front desk declined to help me stating that they do not give results over the phone and even if they did, they would charge the $95.00 for that. I asked if they could do anything to work with me in any way and they declined. I'm really saddened and upset about this situation because I'd imagine this is becoming a financial hardship on many of his patients. I don't pay hundreds of dollars every month in insurance premiums so I have to pay additional hundreds of dollars to be seen. I will be switching to a different provider. read more

If I could provide a 0, I would. I wish I had read the reviews and used them for guidance against this place and his daughter, Dr. Melanie Aurora. The time, the space and the number of times I was sent to Dr. Vijay's office when I specifically asked for Dr. Melanie's office was the least of my issues with them. My first experience with Vijay was jaw dropping and it escalated from that. I was having issues and in the end, they both thought I should have a procedure done. He decided that along with this procedure, I should have a tubal ligation. His reasoning was, "What are you going to do when you come in this time next year and you're pregnant?" He was referring to my age and insisted I didn't want to do that. I couldn't believe what he was suggesting because my decision to have more children or not was never introduced by myself. It was never an issue with me but he continued to insist through his staff, to have them talk me into agreeing to have that second procedure done. I finally told them that they needed to respect my decision. Fast forward, I initially felt comfortable with Dr. Melanie, which is the reason why I preferred to be seen by her. She told me I would have to go in so she could rule out cancer. That word was enough for me. I kept getting routed back to his Apple Valley location with little hope that I "might be seen" by Dr. Melanie , so I took that chance because now we're talking cancer. The time I saw him this year, he brought up an IUD. I insisted I did not want or need it, especially for the reasons he was giving me. The day I was set to have the cancer screening procedure done, he called me and ran through the to-do-list. Again, brought up the IUD and I told him I didn't feel the need for an IUD. His exact words, "Im going to be honest with you, if you don't agree to the IUD, I refuse to do any of the procedure at all." Again, I do not need it, there is no need for it. He said if I wanted to get it removed the next day, I could do that. My mind was boggling because if he's telling me I can get the IUD removed tomorrow, then there is no need for it! And again, he refused unless I accepted the IUD. The time consumption and the worry of cancer took over and I gave in because I just wanted to know if I had cancer. The next day I made a complaint against Vijay. I felt he was unethical and unprofessional from the beginning. When I went back to get the cancer results, I was seen by Melanie. At that appointment, she had been made aware that I made my complaint against her father and she made sure to let me know that she was not happy I did that. It was not her place to bring up my complaint because it was against Vijay, not her. All I wanted was my results and can now go to a completely different provider. I do not suggest either of these doctors. ...take heed. read more

Since I started seeing Dr. Arora Vijay I'm really happy with everything and every procedure being done with my problem he is so professional and knows exactly what he is doing and explains things I just had my surgery done and I'm really happy with all the staff in the office there really on top of everything and explain everything read more

If i could give this place 0 stars I would. Absolutely DO NOT recommend coming here. The staff are extremely rude, the wait times are ridiculously long, and doctors care more about money than the patients. Seems like they try to make false claims so that they can submit large bills to our insurances for more money. So if the doctor tells you something is wrong, I highly suggest getting a second opinion because they lie. If you don't do what he wants, he will not give you anything you need and will refuse to provide you care. Very close-minded, incompetent, and does not listen to patients. this place is horrible. refuses to listen to my wife and keeps telling her that she is high risk even after being seen by multiple doctors stating that she is not. even had an appointment today where a doctor stated she was not high risk and that our baby was perfectly healthy, yet when she was checking out the nurses were extremely rude and told my wife that she either had to see another high risk doctor they reffered her to which is 2hrs away or she couldn't be seen here anymore. horrible horrible place read more

My review is a little late. I was looking for a new OB/GYN. I actually tried making an appointment with Melanie Arora. They have 2 office locations, Which at the time I was not aware of. I never Saw Melanie Arora, which they should have told me when I made the doctor appointment. When I had my appointment I went to the office that was CLOSED in Victorville. I guess there are specific times the office is open, I am not really sure. I had to reschedule my appointment (since I did not know regarding them having 2 office locations). Since I was a NEW patient, I was finally told to have my appointment in Apple Valley. When I went for my first doctor appointment, the waiting room was very OVERLY crowded & you wait for 3-4 hours (just in the waiting room). I saw the P.A. her name is Kim. I told her about my medical issues I was having. I asked her to do a pap smear which she did this. She also ordered Blood work, & Ultrasound. In my opinion was considerate of her to order Blood work & an ultrasound. A couple years ago, I had heavy bleeding off & on with my cycle (now the bleeding is better). A couple months ago, I had low hemoglobin (with my blood work) Honestly, I am not sure why my first appointment was not with an actual Doctor, But the Physician Assistant? Also, I had made an appointment with Melanie Arora & never got to see her. Lets see.... My next appointment. I waited again maybe for 3 hours. The waiting room was again Very Over Crowded. When I got called in for my appointment. I first saw Kim, the P.A. She went over my blood test results. I was still low hemoglobin (anemic). Also, My ultrasound results I had 2 small fibroids (1 before, which grew a little bit). After I saw P.A. Kim, Dr. Vijay Arora came in he said he wanted to do surgery, (this would take about 5-10 minutes). Dr. Arora said he would go in & look around & clean up what he could. Dr. Arora asked me if I wanted to become pregnant, which I said, "YES". After quickly going over the procedure, he mentioned, he wanted to put an IUD inside me. Which I do not want an IUD. I thought did he not take into consideration regarding what I had said? Honestly, he does not care about his patients, & only cares about MONEY. I am sure he does these surgeries really often. After, having 2 appointments I am going to find another OB/GYN. read more

The office wait time itself wasn't bad. One problem I experienced dealt with not being notified before my appointment of needing to pay "cash prices". I was told the day of my appointment, due to my high deductible I needed to pay upfront, $395. Then, my next visit would be $295 for him to do a sonogram on my abdominal. (A procedure my PCP can order). For the procedure I wanted, I needed to have another appointment "consultation" basically $95 office visit each time. Someone else made a comment of having to repeat yourself multiple times with the office staff, true! My visit was short and my concerns were not fully addressed. Also, I was told to pay $1600.00 up front for a procedure fully covered by my insurance. I'm definitely looking for a different GYN. Patients should be treated as people not cash cows. read more

I had a very negative experience with this doctor a few years ago and want to warn others. From the start, the office felt chaotic and uncomfortable. I was moved from one waiting room to another, and then brought into his large, intimidating office where he barely reviewed my concerns. When I tried to explain that I wanted help with fertility and a check-up, his response was to tell me that I was overweight and shouldn't have more children he even said this in front of others in the office. The exam itself wasn't even done by him, and it was rushed and impersonal. Afterwards, I was taken for an ultrasound where I broke down in tears to the technician because of how poorly I had been treated. At my follow-up, he told me I had a fibroid in my uterus and pushed the idea of surgery, saying I'd have to go to another hospital because of my weight. At a later visit, he repeated the same information as if nothing new had been discussed. That was the last time I saw him. Recently, I went to a different new doctor . She was kind, thorough, and respectful. My exam and ultrasound came back completely normal there was no fibroid at all, and everything was healthy. No patient should ever leave a doctor's office in tears because of how they were spoken to. His staff even tries to cover for him and apologize, which shows they know how horrible he is. If you ask other medical professionals about him, they'll tell you the same thing I don't know how he still has a practice. His bedside manner is awful, and I do not recommend him to anyone. I am writing to formally express my serious concern regarding my care at Arora Vijay on 16167 Siskiyou rd. I arrived for my scheduled OBGYN appointment on 2/27 at 11:15 AM but was not seen until 1:30PM--nearly 3 hours later. The appointment itself lasted only five minutes. This is the sixth visit where I have experienced extremely long wait times paired with very brief consultations. I am genuinely concerned that my baby's well-being is not being given the attention it deserves. It appears appointments are overbooked, potentially prioritizing volume and financial considerations over patient care. Doctors should be held accountable for scheduling practices that compromise patient care. I urge your office to review and adjust scheduling to ensure patients receive adequate time and attention during appointments, especially for prenatal care where every minute matters. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is by far the worst doctor's office I've ever been to. Expect to wait 2+ hours every single time, even with an appointment. The doctor clearly cares more about money than his actual patients. He doesn't listen, doesn't care about your concerns, and pushes his own agenda regardless of what you say. I started seeing him during my pregnancy, and after I unfortunately miscarried, his only focus became forcing birth control on me--even though I said no multiple times, including in front of my husband. He insisted I go on birth control and let him "test my body" for six months because he claimed getting pregnant again too soon might be unsafe. I understand caution, but completely dismissing my fertility concerns and trying to prevent me from trying again--without actually helping me--was unacceptable. Thankfully, I trusted my instincts and refused the birth control. I got pregnant again just two months later and now I'm 10 weeks with a healthy baby and heartbeat--my double rainbow baby. If I had listened to him, I wouldn't be where I am today. Do not go here. Find a doctor who respects you, listens to you, and actually supports your journey--not one who delays it and prioritizes profit over care. read more

They are lucky they even received one star. Dr left and didn't do the phone consult after I already had made a payment towards my balance per Megan their office manager. The staff is very rude and all they care about is $ and not patient care. The Dr is more concerned with doing surgeries and collecting $1500 for IUD than for patient care. Made the mistake of going here and will never go back! Always crowded and office staff look like a bunch of factory workers. I will gladly see another OB/GYN that actually cares about their patients. From my very first appointment at the Victorville office (Melanie Arora) where the PA did not listen to my concerns, to two appointments at this office. For your sake I hope you don't have a missed miscarriage, he will not treat you. He will not perform the procedure or provide a prescription for the pill needed because it is against his beliefs. He will suggest you make an appointment at planned parenthood. I have insurance and I thought a provider and now I have to try to get an appointment somewhere else because unfortunately my body hasn't realized that the baby stopped growing 3 weeks ago. Improve scheduling. Why do we have to wait 2 hours plus. People have lives and jobs you guys are inconsiderate and juss want your check. Communication from the front desk lady's to the doctors are horrible. They don't have it together the way they need to. They are dealing with lives here I highly do not recommend this place. I don't agree with any reviews written about these doctors. Best doctors I've ever had for pregnancy and gynecology, the wait times are very long but it's to be expected!! I've been seen by both doctors for gynecologically and pregnancy and emergencies happen especially when you're an OB!! I'm a high risk pregnancy and I love every doctor I see, I see both Arora's and Dr brar. And they all work very well together. I wouldn't change these long waits for the world !! read more

If you're an expecting mommy to be please avoid being referred to this Drs office. The Dr here doesn't seem to care enough for his high risk pregnancy patients. You tell him your symptoms & he dismisses them all. Let me not mention some of his staff here too like front office and manager. I called twice to ask if they can relate a message to the Dr about what's been going on with me and they get bothered even asking them for a simple question. I'm a medical assistant myself and one thing I've learned about my job title is patient care comes first! I've never disregarded any patients complains about their symptoms and always took that extra step in asking the providers what they advice for their patients instead of just leaving them wondering or just sending them to the ER because they want to be so incompetent. Other OBs I had with my other pregnancies were always on top of my health and making sure all my concerns were answered! If I could leave 0 stars i would he told me based on bmi alone i would kill my baby if I gained more than 5 pounds my whole pregnancy, im 9 weeks btw, he didnt look at my perfectly healthy bloodwork at all and he pushed me out of his care to Loma Linda and said he wouldn't treat me because of obesity related complications and told Loma Linda to induce me, and do a mandatory c section at 33 weeks. Mind you this was my first ever prenatal visit in my life and I was hoping to confirm pregnancy and placement and he said all this without even an ultra sound. I've never felt so little cared about, he told me I couldnt deliver vaginally and that he prefers epidural the amount of disgust and shame I felt after leaving here was remarkable and after getting a second opinion guess what im not high risk at all and me and baby are healthy and happy. Wish zero stars was an option. The "doctor" absolutely values money over his patients time and care, which is why most of the other reviews here warn you that you'll be waiting two or more hours to be seen (after your appointment time), which is true, he overbooks to make more money (no less than 10 people in his tiny waiting room at a time) . He blames "emergency appointments" and if you question why he has an emergency appointment any given hour of any given day he'll walk out of the room with no remark. Not to mention, you'll wait that long just for him to ask you how you feel and then send you on your way. If you decide to ask him about the care being provided and why certain things are necessary he will make backhanded remarks and then again walk out of the room. Please don't come here at all!!!!! I was beyond disappointed, furious and a vey unprofessional staff. So I had a scheduled appointment for 11:30am I came probably 10-15 minutes early because usually that's the doctor's recommendation. Anyways, so I'm waiting and I noticed about 12pm they had food delivery at their office so I am waiting but once 1:35pm hit I was losing my patience so I kindly asked the front desk how long until I am seen and she said there are 4 patients before myself. So I said okay, so there were 4 to 5 patients that were sent in before myself and was expecting to be next. But I noticed one of the 5 patients that were called in before myself was seen before I was even though I've been waiting longer and had an appointment. So again I am telling myself give them 10 more minutes and still no information. So I had to cancel and call me own PCP to get a new appointment at another office since they weren't helping me and taking way too long. So once I confirmed by my PCP I can go somewhere else, I went back inside the office to try to let the front desk know I was no longer being seen. Before I was able to say anything she said oh you're next you're next. I responded there's no need I'm leaving I've been waiting so long to be seen and I need to speak to the manager. So she didn't apologize she just left to check if the manger was present. Once she came back she let me know it'll be a moment with me to speak to the manager. I was so infuriated I told her no I can't wait any longer and left. I tried calming down and called the office on the phone back to speak to the manager to get some sort of resolution on how they manage this office. But when I called and let them know who I was she said the manager is on lunch. I can't believe this is how this office runs. I've done customer service and I know how it is to be busy. But my point of view is the patient always comes first. They do not prioritize patients needs at all. Also, when other patients before myself were also upset and complaining I noticed the staff was laughing. Very unprofessional and rude. I am beyond upset because it is my day off for me to have to do this appointment and to waste my morning and afternoon waiting for nothing is disgusting! Please have better management better way of taking care of your patients because you are not doing it. read more

Dr. Vijay Arora is the best doctor I've had. He is quick and consistent, but also takes his time when it matters. He always explains things very thoroughly. I have been coming to him for two years. The wait is long (just like any doctor's office), but they allow you to wait in your car or even make a trip to Target. They will call you when your room is ready. Also... if you get an appointment as early as possible you will skip the crowd. I was in a hospital gown about to get a tubal ligation when things got emotional. My pregnancy test came back positive. Dr. Arora and his daughter, Dr. Melanie Arora, were so incredible. He immediately ordered a blood test to be sure. I was devastated and alone and they both were at my bedside walking me through the options as I was fighting back tears. They made me feel like family. The blood test came back negative and that roller coaster ride was over. I will always be grateful for their strength and their kindness. read more

I feel very cared for by Dr. Arora. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with the doctor and staff. I was recommended to him by my mother in law. She has been seeing him for 20 years so I figured he must be good! She was right. Doctor takes my concerns very seriously and doesn't brush anything away as "normal" pregnancy symptoms. I feel heard and cared for and that's all one can ever hope for when they're going through a very sensitive life experience. Staff is very nice and I was even seen the same day for a symptom I was happen. I was seen right away. The wait times have gotten a lot better since COVID restrictions have been lifted. read more

The doctors do not care about your time. You will be sitting waiting for an hour even if you arrive on time. You will sit in the lobby longer than you will talk to your doctor, no longer than 4 minutes. If you can get another OB somewhere else please do so they only care about getting money and seeing you quickly because they have to. Be prepared to wait, 2-6 hrs to be seen with an appointment. They over book. Dr. Arora is hit and miss when it comes to his care as a gynecologist. At times, I felt rushed by the Dr and that he didn't listen to my concerns. Pushing surgery is his MO...very pushy. He'll have you come in every 2 weeks to do ultrasounds to bill your insurance and insist laprascopy surgery to "explore" for possible endometriosis... even if you have no symptoms. The Dr and staff talk openenly about your visit in front of other patients, so don't expect any privacy. read more

When I first went here I thought this was doctor was going to be a good choice after all the insurance picked it right . Wrong I have pcos and fibroids and the only solution to them is birth control when that shouldn't be the only option. It seems like if you don't take it you'll be going there every month just to waste your time . I've been on three different forms of birth control since I've been going there and don't get me started on the wait time a lot of us have work and lives to get to . If you get this doctor try to get another one .... Also when you try to advocate for yourself they're basically not listening read more
