Went for a gyn visit with Dr Aronson for the first time and it was a good experience. Was told that my prescription will be electronically sent to my pharmacy. Went to my pharmacy and said they didn't get it yet. Since I got a two week sample, I figured I can wait. Before my samples ran out, I called pharmacy again and still no prescription. Called office and said they'd put the memo on Dr Aronson's desk. I asked also about my test result since I haven't heard if it was ok or not. She told me result. Shouldn't the doctor tell me that? Well cup to now, still no prescription and I've been calling the office and they would just hang up the phone. I guess I won't be going back. read more

Distintly remember the day my wife just came through a C-section with our first child and my wife's uterus was outside her body and Dr. Aronson looks at me and literally asks, "Do you want me to remove that or put it back in?" Made an appointment and informed them of my insurance information at the time that I made the appointment. They told me that they would call to verify benefits and let me know the day before my appointment if there were any issues. Never heard from anyone so I showed up for my appointment as scheduled and they turned me away because they don't accept my insurance. They need to get it together. What a complete waste of my time and so unprofessional. Not even an apology from the front desk staff. read more

Please do yourself a favor, save your time, energy, and money, and do not schedule an appointment with Dr. Aronson. After spending time in the ER and finding out that I have a UTI infection at 16 weeks pregnant, I was instructed to schedule a follow up appointment with my OB. During my follow up visit with Dr. Aronson, she immediately stormed into my room, (without knocking), and started to raise her voice while asking me the following questions "What do you want me to do?" "why are you here?" And "How do You know that you have an infection?" Dr. Aronson cut me off as I started to respond, and she continued to rant and rave and told me to "call the hospital and request a urine culture sample to find out what type of UTI infection you currently have". At this point, I was so taken back by her rude and unprofessional demeanor. I stupidly apologized, and told her that I'm following the ER Doctor's orders. She then replied, "So what do you want me to do??" "what does the doctor expect me to do that he couldn't do at the hospital?" She grabbed her Doppler portable ultrasound and pulled up my shirt to check my baby's heartbeat. After listening to my baby's heartbeat, she rudely responded and said "is there anything else you want me to do?" After I walked out of the room and approached the front desk, Dr. Aronson followed me and said, (in front of other patients) "By the way, your Pap Smear results came in and were negative". She smiled and walked away. I've never experienced such a psychotic, rude, and unprofessional Doctor in my life. I truly believe that Dr. Aronson is in need of mental health support. She should not be able to treat her patients with such disrespect. **Update: I immediately changed doctors and I am truly satisfied with my new doctor and her team of professionals. I was having what I thought was a very serious OBGYN problem for two weeks when I came to see Dr Aronson. She and her staff made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and asked me all the right questions and made things way less awkward for someone who had never seen a gynecologist before. Dr Aronson had a full conversation with me before the exam and walked me through every step of my pelvic exam and I am so so grateful that she was the doctor to do my first one - great visit! read more

Went for my annual exam yesterday, as a new patient. Scheduling was easy and I got an appointment in a relatively short period of time. I switched from my old doctor because each time I would call, I would immediately be placed on hold, for up to 30 minutes, even while just calling to make an appointment. Dr. Aronson's staff was quick and efficient on the phone, and I was never placed on hold. Her office is warm and clean, and the front desk staff and nurses are all friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their job. The wait in the waiting room was short, but I did have to wait about 30-45 minutes once I was in an exam room. I don't mind waiting for a doctor because I realize they are busy and spending time with their patients, although my one complaint might be to let a patient wait longer in the waiting room, rather then on an exam table just wearing a paper gown. Dr. Aronson was genuine, gentle and seemed to really care about my health. I could tell she took the time to review my chart before she came in, and she made a normally uncomfortable exam as 'pleasant' as it could be, considering. She also talked to me about my children and other aspects of my life, which was a refreshing change of pace, as often times I feel I am just another number at the doctors office. I will definitely be sticking with her and her office for a long time! Oh, one final note, when I was checking in, there was a big sign saying your appointment would be rescheduled if you wore any scented perfume, body lotion, sprays..etc due to the staff having severe allergies. It might be helpful to mention that to patients making when they call for appointments, because although I didn't douse myself in anything beforehand, I felt awful when Dr. Aronson came in the room and said 'Smells like coconuts in here!' I have been coming to see Dr. Aronson for over 8 years and never had an issue at the Carson location, and never really at the Torrance location until today. Usually the staff is very nice and respectful. However when I checked in today 6/14/2019 @10:40 for my 11:15am appointment the young lady named CANDY, if that is truly her not was horribly rude, and acted as if I was ruining her great conversation she was having with the rest of the staff. She was very short with me and when it came time to pay my copay she stated it was $75, when my copay is always $45, when I questioned her about it, she said " ok then just give me the $45 then". I asked if she was having a bad day and maybe they'd why she was being so rude and nasty and of course her tone of voice changed at that point, trying to act liked she was now friendly. I will never come back to the Torrance location due to the fact that the staff cannot even provide great customer service, or at least act like they like their job. If it continues unfortunately I would have no problem changing doctors at this point, because no patient should be disrespected like that. read more

I had been seeing her and her husband Dr. Marc Rosenthal for about 7 years. After feeling unimportant and rushed with him, I decided to try seeing his wife, Dr. Jody Aronson. Within the last 4 years, I felt their authenticity for caring about my concerns was obsolete and arrogant. I couldn't agree more about the ridiculous wait times on each visit, her attitude and ALWAYS feeling rushed with her. It's like the care more about the money they make by booking a crazy amount of people and herding them though like cattle. On my last visit, I had serious concerns about some issues I was unusual experiencing. I told myself that if she rushed my this time, that I would never go back and see them again. And wouldn't know!!! After waiting over an hour, she busted into the exam room and the first thing out of her mouth was, "Sorry for the wait. I'm in a huge 'rush' because I am suppose to be at the airport right now to take a vacation with my best friend and probably am not going to make it at all now!" Oh wait, it gets better... I explained to her my concerns, she took a sample test and said everything look to be okay. As I proceeded to question why I was having certain symptoms for several months, or if there were any other tests I could take, she cut me off mid sentence and said, "You know, I really need to go right now." And walked out of the room. Incredible. I am 12 weeks pregnant now and seeing a great doctor which has been very patient and considerate. I cannot imagine allowing either one of them handling the care and delivery of my first child. I feel it would be something like a scene from a football game where the baby comes out and she quickly hands it off for the pass, pats you on the butt and says nice work as she rushes off the field. :-| I rarely write reviews on yelp, but I feel that woman need to be informed as to what to expect from this doctor. Needless to say, I would never recommend these doctors or their practice to any women seeking a trusting and caring OB/GYN. read more

How this repugnant excuse for a human being is still allowed to touch other people in the name of medicine is beyond me. She is arrogant, condescending, dismissive, rude, and if one were to be more concise, one would describe her as being a C-U-"Next"-"Tuesday." She is completely devoid of empathy--most likely a sociopath. My one and only visit to her office, which led to her doing a biopsy as if she were hacking at a throwaway piece of meat while her clearly uneducated nurse stood by grimacing and making disgusted faces at my blood, is still one of the most traumatic experiences of my life at any healthcare practitioner's office. Oh, and she had the gall to take a personal phone call in the exam room while were were already in the middle of my consultation--no apologies, no nothing. She had the nerve to keep me waiting for FIVE MINUTES while she yammered on about someone's Jewish school classes and prepping for some bar mitzvah??? Thankfully, the biopsy came back negative. That was the only good thing that came out of my encounter with that piece of garbage who treats patients like they're inconveniences. I trust and believe that karma has, and will continue to give her and that nurse what they have coming to them from that experience. And based on the many other bad reviews I see on here, we know that's one long karma train going through the Jody Aronson station of nastiness. Staff is not friendly at all. And Dr. Aronson is always in a rush. I had been patient of Dr. Aronson for two years. Had to reschedule one visit due to a death in a family and the office manager would not budge on a $40 cancellation fee. Even though I rescheduled my appointment. I did not cancel it. I finally agreed to pay the cancellation fee, but asked if I could pay it in payments, as my co-pay is $60 (this would have made it $100 for one visit). They refused and told me that I could not see Dr. Aronson that day, or in the future until the $40 was paid. I explained to them that if they checked my records, they would see that I have paid a $60 co-pay just for Dr. Aronson to read me my test/lab results. Which she could have technically done over the phone. But they were not trying to hear anything, nor work with me. They treated me horribly. Mind you I have a chronic condition. The poor reviews of her office staff are not exaggerated. They are terrible, insensitive and the office manager is the worst. I now have a wonderful doctor who has helped me tremendously with my condition and she has a compassionate office staff, she's available, and answers/returns your calls. IMAGINE THAT! I went in as a new patient for my annual exam because I am new to the area. The nice thing was that I was able to get an appointment quickly and the doctor was able to see me the following week. Everyone at the office was nice, but the doctor gave me about 2 minutes of her time to do my exam and left the room. She never asked a question about my medical history, did not see if I had any questions (which I did because I was curious about changing my normal prescription) and did not have the discussion a OBGYN should be having with patients when they go visit a doctor once a year. I was shocked the doctor did not take the time to talk to me at all and rushed through the exam. The point of me getting the exam was so I can get a refill of my prescription. 2 weeks after my exam I did not hear anything and still had not receive my prescription. I called the doctor's office to see why nothing had been sent and they instantly blamed it on the pharmacy. Later they realized they made a mistake but tried to cover it up saying I was supposed to send it in (I specifically asked them if everything was done before I left the doctor's office that day to make sure I did not need to send in the prescription myself). I provided them a new pharmacy location near me to send in the prescription so I could pick it up. It has now been a week and I go to my pharmacy today to only be told nothing STILL has been sent in. Above everything, no one from the office called me with my exam results. When I called in to get my results, the receptionist said "No news is good news". I think if you are taking an exam, you have a right to have someone call you and tell you your results as they said they do. Dr. Aronson seemed nice but I will be finding another doctor for the future. read more

My first visit to Dr. Aronson was today. I was looking for a second opinion from another OBGYN. When making the appointment, the staff was very friendly and booked me an appointment within a week. They encouraged me to download the paperwork before I came. This saved me a lot of time when arriving. All I had to do was sign another form, pay my copayment and then I was taken in within 10 minutes. My weight and blood pressure was taken next and then I was escorted to my exam room. Dr. Aronson was in within 5 minutes. She listened carefully to my concerns, examined me and gave me some helpful information regarding my female needs. It was a wonderful experience. This is the worst gynecologist I have ever seen. Not only is Jody Aronson rude, uncaring, does not follow through on trying to figure out your problem as well as unprofessional, she should not be allowed to operate on people. I came to Jody due to fibroids and several other female issues, which she ignored, and she immediately said I had to have a full hysterectomy without doing any x-rays to confirm the size and location of fibroids. This 1st visit was very brief and I left very confused and not feeling properly addressed or that my issues were heard or taken seriously in apt.. I was never given alternatives to surgery nor any literature about this full hysterectomy when I asked. I was told that there was no literature. So I am to assume what is involved in this full hysterectomy. Once I started asking lots of questions Jody rudely told me to go somewhere else and hung up in my face. This lady is a ticking time bomb and should retire. One good thing that did come out of this bad experience, which was the lord showed me who Jody really was thus not allowing her to operate on me as she probably would have botched the surgery. Jody is a horrible individual and I wish I would have read her reviews 1st. Also the office she has is so outdated, you have to hand right your name on a pee cup as no labels are able to be produced. That should have been my initial sign to run. One good lesson i learned is if you don't have a good feeling about a dr you are seeing, immediately see a different dr.. Dr. Aronson is the absolute best OBGYN. She delivered two of my children, and the second was a high risk full placenta previa. She always made me feel calm and safe, has excellent bedside manner, was ALWAYS available. Plus her C-section work was incredible, you could barely see any scar. I have given this place too many chances. I've always had to wait 30-60 minutes to be seen, very impersonal staff and when I suffered a miscarriage it seemed as if the Dr had a heart of stone. When i found out they had several locations, I even called on the day of the appointment to make sure my appointment was at the right lociation. the receptionist was very nice each time i spoke to her.
