Delicious & unique flavor combinations, if you enjoy high quality chocolate, then you will fall in…read morelove with Columbia Gorge Confections! This shop knows how to do chocolate! Bars, truffles, pairings with local Runcible Cider and more. Where to begin? You have probably seen their brightly wrapped chocolate bars at gift shops around Hood River and throughout Oregon, in shops that curate the best of what our state has to offer. With names and flavors that represent: - Dahlia: dark chocolate, tart cherries, Rose & pistachios - Mazen Toffee: dark Swiss chocolate, Oregon hazelnuts - The Hook: Dark Swiss chocolate with candied blood oranges - Love: dark chocolate, pistachio, Rose, strawberries - Lavender Valley: Dark chocolat, strawberries, pistachios, Rose & lavender - Hood River Lavender: white Swiss chocolate, lavender, candied lime & blackberries - Dee: White Swiss chocolate, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries & tart cherries - Carrot Cake: swill milk chocolate , carrot, coconut, pineapple, Oregon hazelnuts & spice These are not your ordinary bars to be consumed in a rush. They are to be savored. Put together a custom Easter basket, birthday or anniversary gift and fill it with different chocolates and other confections of your choosing. They carry gorgeous decorated cookies from another local artisan and Jacobsen's sea salt, jams & preserves, even local wine and cider. Or pick up a S'mores kit with homemade marshmallows, homemade graham crackers and dark chocolate For your next camping adventure. Or for your own backyard, which is what I did! There are other varieties of the S'mores kits too. Like a milk chocolate, marshmallow and gluten free shortbread. The owner has really put together a charming shop with her kitchen in the back where the magic happens. In the shop area she even has an area dedicated to other creator's; there is jewelry, wine, decorated cookies, and right now (April, 2022) some Girl Scout cookies. In the display counter are yummy donuts and bars, some gluten free, some vegan. They make cakes, too! Columbia Gorge Confections is for everyone because everyone loves a sweet treat! I have several gluten free friends, and some vegan, and when they come to visit, Columbia Gorge Confections will most definitely be on the list of places I take them! Located on 7th street near Oak Streer, right behind Evoke Tasting Room.

Cute little shop on a side street in downtown Hood River with amazing cupcakes!!! Highly recommend…read more The owner is very nice.

It's filled with essential oils, lotions, soaps, hair products, and natural deodorants - I swear by Crystal Rock Salt deodorant, have used for 35 years! Also vitamins, minerals, supplements, protein powders. And natural foods like peanut butter, keto friendly foods, lots of gluten free crackers, bread and bakery items, dairy free products, zero sugar added items (ice cream, juices, yogurt) and more. Of course it's pricy, as all healthy products are. Should be the other way around IMO! Since it's right inside Rosauers, it's very convenient to pick up specialty and specific items I need while doing other grocery shopping. Or just run in and out of Huckleberry's. Lots of parking right out front.

Confused? Yeah..I was looking for this place. Just just go…read moreto Rosauer's supermarket and "Huckleberry's" is locate INSIDE of Rosauer's. Remember--- Stay to your right once you get inside Rosauer's. Just keep going until you see the Natual/Organic section. Do not let your nose be deceived by the bakery smells that come from the other side of the store. It is NOT an Organic bakery...believe me, I've asked. They only use bleached flours and tons of artificial ingredients. Looks good, but it's FAKE! ewwwww.... The prices are kinda high, unless they have a sale going on. They have a decent selection of organics, but again, the prices are high. My secret on buying organic foods in Hood River... is "Safeway." Yes...Safeway has Organics at better prices. Shhhhhh...... They also have a nice organic produce section and other organic products scattered though out the whole store. Ya just gotta go searching for them sometimes...but it's worth the price.

My wife was busy at an acupuncture appointment nearby, so I scouted the lay of the land, promising the shopkeeper to return with my wife in tow shortly. An hour or so later, I fulfilled my promise, and the both of us spend the next 20-30 minutes browsing, and conversing with the (very pleasant) shop owner. All oils and vinegars are available for sampling, as well as a sizeable selection of salts and seasonings. There are also pasta sauces and noodles, chocolates, olives and other pickled vegetables, mustards, jellies, and similar culinary accoutrement. Among my wife's favorites were several fruit-based balsamic vinegars which, when mixed with soda water, create some tasty, low-calorie beverages that also are great for treating the persistent heartburn and indigestion she was experiencing during pregnancy. Considering my other favorite oil and vinegar shop is a five-hour drive away in Leavenworth, having Navidi's in our backyard is a blessing, and a guaranteed regular stop for us throughout the year. Very recommended!
