I actually ordered whole milk just to give it some flavor, which is something I normally never do. They also don't have an espresso machine, so switching to an Americano or another espresso drink wasn't an option. For a brunch restaurant, the coffee was surprisingly disappointing. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. It was good, but nothing that would make me order it again instead of trying something different if we return. One thing I did appreciate was how easily they accommodated one of our friends who is vegetarian. There was no fuss or confusion, and they made it simple for her to find something that worked. One real standout, though, was our waitress. She was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of when to check on the table without constantly interrupting our conversation. She seemed to appear exactly when we needed something and otherwise let us enjoy brunch with our friends. I really appreciated her style of service. While the juices and smoothies are good, the high prices deter me from returning. Comparing So Juicy to another local shop that recently opened in Gardnerville, that place wins in both selection, taste, and pricing. The service here can also be iffy. Sometimes they are super fast and kind. Other times, it seems that they are irritated that you walked in. I have never been here when it's busy. It's almost always deserted when I visit. If you choose to hang out, they do have many large tables inside. So Juicy is 100% better than a chain shop like Keva or Jamba, but I think there is certainly room for improvement in both service and pricing.
