Chicken was 3 again we had to cut everything up to share. 21/2 hrs later we still haven't finished eating they take approx 15-20 minutes to bring u the next set of meats . U can have any side u want that's on the menu, but it's a tablespoon in each plate , smaller than tapas?? We sit n wait because the grill smokes a lot from the dripping. Then they lower it down n u sit til your server come around again to put it up to cook the meat . I just don't know how this function at all? We had a different server and she knew the menu back and forward. Nothing we asked her (Paola) was beyond her - pleasant and friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered the calamari to start, with a shrimp/rice bowl for me and a salmon/rice bowl for friend. We waited quite awhile for our food. Unfortunately the calamari arrived about 3 minutes before the rice bowls. The calamari was "different" - long extruded looking pieces (3" long) that were deep fried. They tasted good but there was no "chew" to them. The sauce with them was tangy/spicy. The rice bowls had twice the amount of rice needed. The shrimp and salmon were delicious. The accompanying veggies were pretty much all carrots with two or three very mall pieces of broccoli. It was an okay meal - not what I had hoped for but still good. I'll give Angry Crab Shack another try in the future.

Our server Amber was a-maze-ing!! We were celebrating my wife's birthday, and they treated her like a queen. We started out with the fried pickles, and they were super good. Then my wife had the crab legs with cornbread, and I had the jambalaya; both were delicious, and we had leftovers to take home. Because we were so full, Amber packed up the complementary birthday dessert which was a brownie with ice cream, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream!! We could not have asked for a better experience.

My friend, came into town from Cochise County and wanted to go to listen to jazz at Brother John's…read moresince it was Sunday afternoon. This restaurant has jazz every Sunday afternoon from 2-5p.m. Absolutely incredible musicians and singer! The crowd was festively dressed and happy and truly enjoying this music. We got shareable appetizers, the burnt end nachos with brisket and fried buffalo cauliflower florets with ranch dressing. Both delicious!! I had the Old Forester 1920 whiskey- 1 Oz and that was plenty! The bartender served us water as well as we had sat up at bar. The was professional and quite efficient. Before we left, I asked bartender what I could get to bring home for my dog- thinking he would laugh at me, but he told me he does same for his dog and that he eats better than him. We laughed when I said "same!" He suggested the tacos and would separate out the pulled pork from the onions, cotija cheese and jalapeños- and did! Kai loved that I brought her home "tacos!"Thank you for a great afternoon, Brother John's!!

My Uber driver was raving about it on the way over, which sealed the deal. While the cheap beer does require a food purchase, I was planning to eat anyway--no complaints there. I went with the 3-for-$11 taco deal and it was more than enough food. You get to choose between green or red salsa; I went with the green, which definitely has a nice kick. I asked the server if they could mix it up with two brisket tacos and one pork belly, and they were happy to accommodate. After reading some mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised--nothing was dry or overly fatty. Everything was flavorful and delicious. My total for four 10-oz beers and three tacos was just over $20, which is an incredible deal for the quality and amount of food and drink. I came to watch the U of A basketball game, and this place is perfect for it--plenty of TVs, tons of seating, and even space for large groups. There's also a covered outdoor patio with lots of seating, plus foosball and cornhole. Parking was easy, too. I sat at the bar, struck up a great conversation, and found the patrons to be super friendly. Overall, a great vibe all around. Highly recommend Cheap Beer Tuesdays: $2 for a 10-oz pour and $4 for a 20-oz pour. Easily one of the best beer deals in town. I'll definitely be back!

After an 18 hour fast, I met up with an avid foodie friend of mine to pay homage to Ken's and while I intended to save at least half of this for dinner or for the next day - nothing survived... Pulled pork was absolutely killer, the ribs were really good, could've been a bit more tender, the brisket was pretty under-smoked and chewy and the jalapeño sausage was awesome. I have quite a few more trips planned before they close the restaurant and serve everything up from their food truck. I'm gonna have to ask to put a tracker on the truck so I have direct access to where they're throwing down the BBQ t

The pulled pork was the standout for me, with a super flavorful exterior that melted in my mouth and not too fatty. The brisket was also good, a little less flavorful than the pork and a little fattier than I prefer, but everyone has different tastes on that and it was still a solid dish. The sides were fantastic, our favorite being the cole slaw, which was light, tangy and refreshing. A great stop if you're in the area!

It is a busy location on the southside on Irvington across highway from Spectrum Mall. This location needs some remodeling and deep cleaning. Floors, counters and walls had marks and could be sticky. Staff seemed in a hurry and very untrained. They got us seated as we came through line quick. Server seemed in a hurry to take order, and checked often. Once we ordered the food came quick, but then the server disappeared. When my cup was dirty, I had to go to the bar to request a new cup. The bartender seemed taken back and initially resistant to giving me a cup, but did so with no other issues. This is a popular steakhouse, moderate in price, and family or group oriented like others of the chain. I thank them for their work with veterans. I wish busy places like this would use some of their time and money to keep a cleaner location, deep cleaning weekly seems to be a need. This location has also been around a while and is getting a little dated. Anyway decent food for a chain, not best location in Tucson, but convenient to Southside.
