It sat on my counter for 2 days before the birthday. What a fantastic cake! It was so moist, not overly sweet or gritty. The raspberry was delightful. This will now be my go to for every cake need.

Based on Jacque's reputation and our experience with their cakes we did not visit the shop to taste their gluten-free offerings. The cake was nicely decorated. Unfortunately, it was one of the the biggest disappointments of an otherwise beautiful day. The cake was EXTREMELY dry, to the point of staleness. Our guests took a bite and pushed it aside. Several members of our family remarked that it was very dry. We understand that gluten-free baking can be challenging, but we've had many excellent gluten-free cakes elsewhere. Given Jacque's reputation and the premium price we paid, we expected a much higher-quality product. The customer service afterward was even more disappointing. I contacted the bakery and spoke to Jacque directly, twice. I requested at least a 50% refund or a credit for a non gluten free cake, believing either of these options was a fair resolution. Jacque responded by raising his voice and saying "absolutely not, it's not my fault". Then added "I just had surgery". My response was, "you are the business owner, so yes, it is your fault." Jacque stated that they buy a mix from a manufacturer that he did not name. I was shocked by both his response and lack of empathy for such an important occasion. I have never left a negative review for any business but couples deserve to know what our experience with gluten free was like. We trusted Jacque's with an important part of our son's wedding, and both the cake and the way our concerns were handled fell far short of our expectation.

Most of the individual bakery items are preplastic wrapped or packaged in clear plastic containers, similar to what the former Route 28 Bakery of Chichester did over a decade ago. The baked goods sold here include a variety of cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, cupcakes, pie slices, cake slices, muffins, and fresh baked flaky calzone pockets. They also sell breakfast items, pudding cups, edible cookie dough, eclairs, cream puffs, chocolate covered pretzels, macarons, tiramisu, fruit tarts, sandwiches, salads, coffee, shakes, and cold drinks. I stopped by Oonah's Cafe & Bakery after work recently. I decided to get a Steak & Cheese Flaky Calzone ($10 plus tax), a large Chocolate Chunk Cookie ($2.75 plus tax), and a French Toast Muffin ($2.50 plus tax). The calzone was made and baked to order fresh. About 15 minutes later, the calzone was all set, served with a cup of marinara sauce for dipping. Though small in size, the hot and flaky calzone was really good and was filled with shaved steak and melted cheese and great for dipping into the cool marinara sauce. The French toast muffin was dense and soft, like a sweet cake muffin. The chocolate chunk cookie was thick and soft with plenty of chocolate in each bite and great with my hot coffee. Other than the absence of cannolis (that was Cannoli Stop, reopening in Concord), the baked goods here at Oonah's are pretty good.

They offer a selection of signature bundt cakes, bundlets (personal size bundt cakes), bundtinis (mini bundt cakes), gift towers & boxes, birthday and party supplies. I've had their Bundt cakes in MA and enjoyed it with my coffee drinks. I stopped by the Concord location, which is located in a strip plaza on Loudon Road near Chipotle and across from Applebee's. I was greeted by the staff when I walked in. I quickly scanned the glass case of bundt cakes and bundlets. I picked up 2 bundlets including the Carrot Cake and the Oreo Cookies & Cream ($6.29 plus tax each). I drove back to the office to enjoy both chilled bundlets with my large coffee. The bundlets were very firm outside with a moist texture, both topped with a sweet cream icing. The taste was very sweet and I ended up finishing my desserts later on. I was also given offers to join their e-club where I can get a free bundlet on my birthday and points towards from desserts.

I got a box of Fine Syrian Mamoul Delicate Data Cookies (9 for $10), Exquisite Vegan Chocolate Baklava (2 pc for $4), and Exquisite Pistachio Baklava (2 for $4). Each of the baked goods were pretty good, though small pieces for the price paid. The baklava (layers of phyllo) were very crispy on the outside and very sweet. The date cookies coated with powdered sugar were crunchy on the outside with a good smooth date filling inside the cookies. I like the baklava here!
