Because I part my hair on the side, starting the foils along that part gave the best result. However, Victoria chose to use a different method and applied significantly fewer highlights than expected. It was very apparent that this was done to rush through my appointment while managing multiple other clients at the same time. The end result reflected that decision. My hair was noticeably over-processed, uneven, and poorly blended. I left with stark, white stripe-like sections down the middle and along both sides of my head--an outcome that looks unnatural and is difficult to conceal. This is not a subtle issue; it is a clear technical failure. The entire appointment felt rushed and lacking in care. The focus seemed to be on volume--fitting in as many clients as possible--rather than delivering quality work. This is a significant decline from the level of professionalism and attention to detail I experienced in the past. Victoria immediately acknowledged the problem and said she wanted to correct it, which made it clear she knew the result was unacceptable. However, that only reinforces that the issue was preventable and caused by poor execution and lack of attention during the service. I was also charged $220 for what was described as a 'partial' highlight, yet the coverage was far less than what is typically considered a 'partial' at most salons in the U.S. Charging a premium price for rushed, subpar work is extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, I am from out of town and was visiting on vacation, which made this situation even more difficult to handle. I am now left having to live with a poor color result for the remainder of my trip and will need to wait until I return home to have my regular stylist attempt to correct it. The day before my appt I received a call informing me I needed to change my appt and I would not be seen until the following month because I was double booked with a client coming from out of town. When I did get in the chair, I was told I would get a "quick wash" because she has clients coming in and she came in an hour early to accommodate me. 2nd visit- I arrived at 9:30 for a 9:30 appt. At 1000 I asked if Rhonda was in the salon. I was informed she wasn't and my appt wasn't until 1030. I told them I would get breakfast and return. I figured i put the wrong time in my schedule. I received a call from the salon at 1015 asking me to return because my appt was at 9:30. No apology. Rhonda actually got an attitude with ME because I wanted clarification. 3rd visit- I called to ensure appt time was 1200. I arrived at 1210 (my fault for being late) and checked in by signing my name and stylist in a sheet of paper. I was just getting weave maintenance. I was asked what was I there for by a stylist and the receptionist. I was asked if I was there for a consult. I informed them I have an appt for 12pm with Rhonda and it was for a wash and style. 3 people were seen while I waited. No one came to me and offered water or informed me my stylist was running behind. After waiting 45 minutes without any acknowledgement of my time, I asked the receptionist to cancel my appt and I walked out. Customer service is a two way street. You have to respect the technicians time AS WELL as the clients time. If I treated my patients the way I was treated at this salon, I wouldn't have a dental office because no one would come. When you treat customers like they are doing YOU a favor by coming, you will never thrive as a business. By the way, I never received a call or text after this situation. She did fix it but blamed me and never apologized for her behavior. Trust me it was bad. I had seen her behave that way with others but never with me. Guess it was my turn. Professionalism is everything and can diminish the shine of even the brightest and best stylist. Apparently it was Trena's last day working before vacation, so she was really busy. My friend told me that it was her birthday, so I brought chocolates as a nice gesture. I handed the chocolates to her & she gave me a quick thank you, then threw them in a drawer and immediately began talking to a guy sitting in the waiting area who was giving her a flirty pouty face (& conversation) for being too busy to cut his hair within the hour. She continued to give him her attention until it was almost uncomfortable for me to be standing next to her. She finally took me to the back to have my hair washed. Once we made it back to the chair (at the front, near the waiting area), she started on my hair, but many other people came in & began speaking with her, asking about her availability, etc. One lady even brought a gift & sat it at her station while I was in the chair, & began having an entire conversation with her. We were able to exchange only a few sentences by the end of it all. I was charged $38.00. I saw that women's haircuts are listed as $16.00 online (a Yelp review) so I decided to call to see why the huge price difference. I know that it costs more to wash & blow dry, but wanted to be sure that I understood the charges for $38.00. Well, I actually called the wrong location (on Race Track Rd.) and the lady was shocked that I was charged so much - even got the manager, Regina, on the phone. Once we sorted it out that I had called the wrong location, I called the correct location. The lady who answered the phone broke down the charges like this: Haircut: $14.00 Shampoo: $ 4.00 Style: $20.00 (Blow dry only. Race Track Rd. location charges $15.00) Apparently, if you want to save some money, then go to the Race Track Rd. location where the owner charges $5.00 less for a blow dry. My head is shaved all the way around, except for the top portion of hair, I have short hair, & Trena didn't shave it (I do that myself). If you don't mind salon prices, then go to Trena for a nice cut, just don't expect quality time because she has a lot of fans, friends, and visitors.
