My stomach was a mess for months -- I had my first doctor misdiagnose me (see Dr. Beckerman review) Then another doctor break up with me, basically told me my blood test results made no sense and told me there was nothing he can do. (He's lucky he doesn't have a page on yelp to review) Then Preeti Mehta to the rescue. Although my symptoms were bizarre, and nothing added up, she took initiative, put me on antibiotics immediately, and when that didn't go as planned, she gave me an endoscopy the SAME DAY as my appointment! She even gave me her cell phone number in case I had any emergencies. She is incredibly upbeat, super caring, and an all around genuine person.

When I went in for my scheduled colonoscopy, I was kept waiting several hours before I was taken into the procedure room. I made a follow up appointment and was called that afternoon that the doctor was unavailable but she can call me later that day they would call to check me in to obtain my co-pay who charges a co-pay for a follow up to a procedure. I've never had to do that before they called me to check in 30 minutes after they said they would and the doctor would be calling me in 10 minutes. It is now an hour later and I still haven't received a call. I'm going into the office to collect my records and will never use this facility again.

He is so friendly and he's pretty good at remembering who you are so you don't feel like you're going to become just another patient in the crowd. His office is located a block away from Grand Central Station so it's pretty easy to get to him. The check in process was a bit confusing to me. I entered one office to check in and the was told to go to another office where I was being expected. When I walked into that office, they had no idea who I was and I had to repeat the process of answering check in question all over again. If Dr. Wolff schedules you for a procedure, it will likely be downtown at Liberty Endoscopy. His staff there is very efficient and on the ball with time management. After prep, Dr. Wolff comes in for a short but sincere chat on what will be happening, how you're feeling, and time to give answers to any questions you might have. The next time you see him, it will be in the OR and he explains everything to you again as well as make sure you are okay. I love that he is so genuine putting his patients first. He or his anesthesiologist will guide you into lullaby land as you drift off to oblivion. And then you wake up to find that everything is done. I'm very impressed with this doctors office. Its a little tricky figuring out its location. Its in…read moreone of the towers. Don't think it is on Queens Blvd because it is not. You can be on Queens Blvd then turn into this huge circular parking lot. When you enter the building there's a door man and you have to sign your name. The doorman was very respectful and kind. He wasn't just some lame doorman who sat behind a desk. The office is up 4 steps leading to their office. The inside is very clean with awesome pistachio green seats. They constantly have NY1 playing on their two flat screen TVs. The heat in the office was blasting it was a little hot in here. They do have a water fountain which helped. The receptionists were extremely nice and welcoming. The second I walked in they greeted me like I've been coming here for years. I should note it wasn't even for my appointment. They were nice even tho the person that was with me didn't have their insurance card. They allowed him send his information via e-mail right on the spot. Like every doctors appointment you fill out basic information and once your done the doctor sees you within five minutes. I should note this was a Saturday appointment too! Its rare to have such great service on a Saturday. I definitely recommend this place if you need to see a doctor on the weekend. It doesn't get any better than this.

After speaking to his equally kind office manager, she said let me put the doctor on the phone. I was not a patient of his but he came right to the phone, took the time to listen to my issue, and then had his assistant book an appointment asap. I have since had other reasons to go back to him and his attentiveness, knowledge and kindness is consistent and exceptional--and highly unusual. Wish all doctors were like him.

I've seen Dr. Bosworth (and his PA, Selene) and Dr. Jacob and they are both outstanding (and articulate) physicians with true interest and expertise in IBD. If you like a laid-back personality and communication style, go for Dr. Bosworth and if you want an earnest personality, offering explanation and detail so you can follow the doc's thought processes, go for Dr. Jacob. Dr. Jacob is my primary and she's truly wonderful and responds almost immediately to phone calls, etc. when she can. Her style makes me confident in my understanding of the disease and therefor my ability take responsibility for my health and my care. I've also seen Dr. Raykher, an MD offering nutritional counseling. I only went to her once because I'm not really sure what I get out of nutrition advice.
