After dealing with Gynecomastia since 2016, i finally decided to do something about it. Although none of my friends ever notice, i did and was always self conscious. Went in for a free consultation with Dr Breitbart. He explained the what the procedure would entail. I decided to go ahead with it. Expected a long wait before surgery but i was scheduled within two weeks! Ordered the compression vest to wear after surgery and picked up the two prescriptions that had been phoned in to my pharmacy prior to surgery. Day of surgery went off with a hitch. Everyone involved let me know everything that they were doing and what was going to be done. Went out like a light with the anesthesia. Woke up to find it was done and over. Zero discomfort and pain afterwards. Follow-up visit was the following day. Dr. Breitbart examined me and told me what to do to promote healing and what not to do. Next follow up was a week after. I went for a buttocks and anterior thigh liposuction in April 2022. Dr. Breitbart did a minimum job in thigh liposuction and on the buttocks, he did ZERO!!! Yesterday I went on a second follow-up to tell him I was NOT HAPPY with the fat he left both on my thighs and buttocks and he said to me that the FAT (that he left) was not fat but loose skin!!! Instead of acknowledging his WORTHLESS job, he tried to make me look as if something was wrong with me!!! On a white, he tells you it's black and on a black, he tells you it's white... That's what he did basically... On top of that, when I went to my first consultation, he did NOT give me disposable underwear (one of those that covers your private parts! P.S. - every other surgeon I went to after, gave me surgical underwear to wear & cover my private parts!). Please NOTE that when you first meet him, he sounds and seems very nice, and promising and the perfect reviews he has on his website and other sites that belong to him and are managed by his team made me choose him. My surgery itself was a BIG NIGHTMARE!!! Local anesthesia he injected was NOT working!!! I felt everything during one-hour lipo removal procedure!!! I was SCREAMING in PAIN!!! He had NO reaction!!! I came in to reduce wobbliness on the front of my legs, which I clearly communicated to Dr Breitbart (in my initial contact, at the consultation, at any interaction). June 17, 2020 was my surgery date, but something unnerving happened. Dr Breitbart proceeded to do a lipo on other locations (hamstrings and inside of my legs), not at all addressing the thighs. When I brought it up to him after the post surgery check-up, he said that I should've known that he shouldn't have done the lipo there - but I'm not the surgeon, he is, and I had trusted his expertise as he knew why I was there. I'm not a doctor, I had explained my situation over and over so, as the authority here, he should've been able to know what the best way to achieve the desired results would be. He refused to acknowledge that he had done something different from what we had agreed on, saying well, I thought this would give you a nicer silhouette, your legs look more balanced now, no? (I'm a skinny marathon runner who eats super healthy, so my legs have always been skinny, so a nicer silhouette wasn't the issue.) Wouldn't have done this surgery, had I known that he would do something different than what we had discussed. Also still have big scars on both front and back of my legs (despite following all pre and post surgery instructions to a tee and doing all that I can to fade the scars) - from a surgery that was incorrectly done to address something that wasn't even a problem in the first place. Can't believe he's board certified.. my scars from smart lipo and horrendous. This is one year later and i still have holes. I went back for my follow up after some stiches came out to have him put more in to close it and he said it would be fine. As an RN i knew he was wrong as the groin thigh area needs as much as possible due to movement and probably dehiscence. This is how it looks now, a year later, after daily expensive dermatologist prescription scar cream. The two above my butt crack were like bullet holes and atill Look awful He also left dents in my leg hat he said would go away. That was from taking too much and not paying attention. Meanwhile my other areas look the same! I regret this so much ans sont want another woman making the same mistake. I paid 12k for a botch job, i look worse than before i have two lumps on my lower thighs that hardened and indents. Aside from the scarring! STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE! read more
