We visited twice while in the area -- once near dusk and once in the midmorning hours. The park is well utilized and populated with other park goers and sporting activities. Plenty of parking, easy access, and restroom facilities of portable toilet near the playground and soccer field. Witnessed several soccer games and lacrosse team sports while visiting and driving through the park. Stadium lighting enabled game play after the sun had set. Fields all appeared to be well maintained. Fitness trail with instructional signage and equipment was well maintained and an impressive feature. Plenty of trails could be seen from our vantage point. Multiple covered shelters with plenty of picnic tables. Lots of dog walkers and foot traffic. We enjoyed the pirate ship playground equipment as well as swings, including one specifically outfitted to accommodate special needs. Play activity equipment was scattered around the large soft-surface playground, including a drum and bell stand and spinning equipment, with a handful of benches scattered about surrounding the area to accommodate watchful oversight close by. Stamp of approval from the 3-year-old and all of the adults in our group. Would visit again.

The lady at the front desk made me want to drop a star but can't say it's the owners fault. Reason being is she was very dry and quick with the rules I couldn't catch anything she was saying because she was so dry. Didn't seem like she wanted to be there but whatever that interactions like a second. It's basically a bunch of stations like shopping , doctors office, a slide, and so on. Like I said pretty cute.

The one in Severna Park is one of my favorites to take the kiddos because it has a great mix of interactive toys and buildings. Just to name a few: - an area for crafts - one of those motorized air funnels that you can put a scarf in - ice cream store - grocery store - doctor's office - vets office - a recycling truck with slots to sort different recyclables - a play house with kitchen stuff - pretend firetruck and firehouse with hose and slide You can also opt into extra add ons that allow you to participate in crafts you can take home (think DIY activities like slime). I like that there's only a finite number of spaces for time slots so it never gets too crowded. You should check their website before going just in case they're sold out (I believe they do allow walk ins though). They also have punch cards for a slightly discounted rate. It's usually around $18 for a single visit, but comes out to like $15 a visit with a punch card at the time of this post. I would totally recommend for little ones, but they may start to get bored for any ages 5 or older.

There are a few unusual features (a tot-sized climbing boulder to get up to the slides) and a mini jungle-gym for smaller kids. All in all, a wonderful location and a great place to let kids work off some steam before dinner. I spent a little time here with my daughter before heading to the tail end of a bridal shower. It wasn't child (or husband) appropriate, but her great-aunts and 1st cousins once removed (yes, I had to look that up) wanted to see her - so we had to entertain ourselves for a little while. She was able to wander around and climb on things without ruining her dress, and even did a few times down the slides. The older girls (elementary to middle school) were running around playing a game called gravel, but they were nice about giving her space. (the game is similar to marco-polo, but you call out gravel if someone is on the ground. The girls didn't actually know what gravel meant, or why you yelled it if someone was one the ground. The ground was covered in mulch, and I suppose yelling "MULCH" isn't as fun, but they could have said "Ground" as easily, but first they would have had to figure out what Gravel was, or had someone tell them. I didn't and neither did any of the parents either... so they played Gravel on the Mulch.) So we had a good time until she got a pouch for a snack from the bag and she poured it all over her dress minutes before I was supposed to leave for the party. it's not the playground's fault, so I won't dock any stars. Great place all around.

Sandy Point is a quick getaway from the city when you don't feel like driving all the way to Ocean City. It wasn't dirty, the water is basically the same as Ocean City, and there are public restrooms with showers. There aren't any attractions, but... that's not really the point? The $5 entrance fee isn't bad at all, and I'm sure some of that goes toward the employees who maintain the park. I grabbed my tent, cooler, and some good food and chilled out for the day. No complaints whatsoever. Sometimes all I want is some water, an ocean view, food, and somewhere to sit my ass down.

My husband and I went today and I was blown away by how much it's been upgraded. It really is family friendly now. The website states admission is $4/pp but we were charged $4.50/pp for some reason. A $.50 service charge seems a lot for a hidden charge, but I guess they need the money for upkeep. I don't know if they charge children or just adults. The restrooms were clean. The website stated they had lifeguards but they did not. They did have first aid but overhead that they could not give anyone meds for jellyfish stings. Not sure why they have first aid that can't do anything for you but don't have any lifeguards. The sand is more grainy than preferable but otherwise a pleasurable place to spend the day. They have a concession stand and a store that rents chairs and umbrellas and floaties. I had a hotdog for like $7 but it was actually pretty tasty. Very chill place to spend the day.
