I paid nearly $200 extra ($640 vs $460 from competitors) to support a small, family-owned business. When I pay for a premium product, I do not want it to arrive damaged on day 1, and then be told to fix it myself. This is an extremely unprofessional and rude response and I expected much better from a family business.

I googled "line laser" and clicked through to Tiger Supplies via a google ad (Which i never usually do). After looking through a bunch of lasers I was not sure of a few specs offered from each model. They all look the same, except some are like $100 and others are closer to $200. I called the store for some guidance - hoping the cheapest one would work for my application. I was able to explain the situation to the woman who answered the phone. She recommended one of their cheaper models, an AdirPro Cube which cost me about $90 (but the shipping was free at least!). It was more than I wanted to spend initially, but seemed perfect for what i would need it for at home. I received the cube two days later. It came with some batteries in the box, which is always a plus. Directions aren't my thing so you can bet i did not read them. I flicked it on and the laser was very bright and easy to see. It cross levels, so I could mark horizontally and vertically. The device self-levels, so even if I hold it at a slight angle the laser remains straight. If I move it to much, it beeps vigorously, expressing its disapproval. Overall, I had a pleasant buying experience and the unit was pretty much exactly what I needed. Not sure what all the bad reviews on here are for but they were able to help me out no problem! It may seem a bit over the top to buy a laser for simple tasks, but I wanted to get it right. Lasers also make everything more fun and we messed around with it a bit after. A must have for any active DIYer, except for cat-owners, whose overstimulated animal would probably need years of therapy trying to recover from so much laser.
