I've just moved here to the Austin area; I've been from San Francisco / Boston / Milwaukee / Kansas…read moreCity and Los Angeles and back again, and throughout the years, I've retained 21 different attorneys, addressing different business issues I've faced throughout the years. Additionally, I used to work as a consultant for a District Judge in Silicon Valley when IP issues arose. So while I'm not personally a legal mind at all, I can definitely say that I know how to tell when I've find one. Mr. Simmons definitely raises the standard for what a great attorney should be: he's personable yet actionable, and has had nothing but dead-on advice with business matters which arise from time to time that I would have had no way of foretelling. If you have a business, small, medium or large - or if you are considering having counsel here in Central Texas, I strongly [and I mean strongly] recommend Mr. Anderson Simmons. I'm not sure there'd ever be an equivalent you could find in the US with the legal acumen, personality, and willingness to work on hard-hitting issues while at the same time counseling on the best ways to approach small business matters simply and efficiently. The only word to describe this attorney is "WOW."

I was surprised that I got to meet the main lawyer, Dan Ross, on my very first visit. I went on a non-stop rampage about my current situation. While listening intently to my every word, Dan was silent. When I finally took a breath.- he said about two sentences that perfectly summarized my situation and completely validated feelings. As if he.was saying."duh - who wouldn't feel that way!!" It was like a huge burden off my shoulders. He was very direct and honest with me - In no way promising me a favorable outcome.- But no doubt that if anyone could provide me the justice I so deseeced- he was the best choice...and to this day - i trust Dan with all of my legal issues. If he can't help - he.knows who can. Very satisfied with my experience (with the whole team - not just Dan).

The cannot tell you a ball park est how much it will cost even when both parties agree on all terms. 2) This law firm has no sequence of docs to share nor how much each doc will cost you. 3) They communicate via an app rather than by calls. 4) They will bill you and bill you and bill you so have your bank account ready to be exploited. HARD! 5) They drag their feet. So what takes real lawyers 60 days, is still in the works over 120 days. So hope you don't need to buy a house or make any purchases to get back to normalcy. 6) This is the law firm that will seal the deal to be single for life. I could have made a down payment on a house in Austin Tx fkr the amount they charge. 7) You will be left to feel worse than before bc now youre financially broke 8) They enjoy sending you "Christian Stories" of how hard divorce is from a woman's perspective and Im the husband filing. So thats always warm and fuzzy. False Christians at best 9) as you approach the 90 days, you realize theyve never actually done a divorce bc all the lawyers I spoke to have an outline to follow and an approximate cost. This one doesn't 10) Each week you will get a cute notification that youve been billed more. And to fill out another doc. This proves #9. 11) Ive given you facts so you decide if you want to use this firm. 12) oh and have $7500 for the retainer and as they bill you, you will be responsible for maintaining the $7500. I left a message with his administrator, and Bill ultimately called and gave me 30 free minutes of his time, never once making me feel as if I were imposing, answering all of my questions thoroughly, never shifting the conversation to why I should hire him. He focused entirely on me an my situation, occasionally asking questions like, "How can I best help you?" The first thing to note about Bill is he's personable -- down to earth and easy to speak with. That doesn't mean he isn't whip-smart, and his decades of experience clearly benefit him. (He knows every situation and probably knows most lawyers.) He's also a straight shooter: he told me what I needed to hear, and backed every statement with candid and accessible logic. Speaking with him engenders confidence -- when our call was completed, I felt assured about the path I should take. One additional note: Bill can be hysterical. While that might not be something you necessarily look for in an attorney, it sure was nice to have some levity brought to an otherwise serious discussion. In the future, I'll certainly look to Bill for continued guidance. I trust him completely.
