The chef and her assistant were such a pleasure to work with. They were warm, friendly, professional, and an absolute delight to have at our celebration. First off, 100% pros! Highly recommend you consider (at least get a quote) using the historic venue…read morefor any function for 70 or less! Susan (owner) is prompt and responsible on communications. Usually same day, 24 hours at the most. She is also a direct communicator (i.e., she will volunteer best practices in advance - which I personally resonated to). You can tell she has expertise in catering immediately. We needed a seating plan for our church's 20th Anniversary to accommodate 70 people and were able to get 60 in the main room and another table for the remaining 10 just outside in the adjoining buffet/bar area ( with line of sight to main room there was no problem). We opted in for some appetizers and a buffet style menu and hosted refreshment bar. The catered pricing, including venue was more than I was expecting, but in hindsight was reasonable considering the flexibility in set up accommodations, wonderful service and tasty food. Susan permitted several onsite run throughs for us, and gave us early access to set up which was an unexpected perk. Our service team consisting of Lisa, Julie, Adriana and Shelly were all in place and totally in the zone the entire event. They had out on platters the stuffed mushrooms and crab cakes three minutes into the welcome and mingle portion of the banquet. The coffee pot and condiments were ready all through the three hour event. The buffet line was opened and the food was warm (could have been hotter), but all tasty. I suggest that the gravy pot be reposition because it was hard to get too with being squeezed in between the two serving bins. Not sure why at some point that one of the staff members moved into the line to serve out the chicken fillets only. That was a little odd. The cake was expertly platted and served at the right moment. Tables cleared and waters refreshed adequately. Parking was street only but had nearby options so it all worked out well. The Audio/ Visual equipment was above average and worked without any issues. The entrance way on the front corner of the cafe would benefit with a cautionary led light or tape on the entry's one step as it blends into the approach and can represent a trip hazard, but we had no issues during our event. The bathrooms are eclectic, in character and clean. This organization did a fine job for our special event and we are very glad to have selected High Street Catering and Cafe. Hope this helps. - Pastor Mike

The high-quality ingredients, delicate flavours, and impeccable service helped make our wedding a truly exceptional experience for everyone present. (Even our wedding planner, who doesn't usually eat during weddings, told us she had two salads because it was the best salad she'd ever had in her life). Ethan and co's creations were so good that even now, one year later, I still regret not gobbling down every morsel of food that was on my plate that day. Ethan, if you ever decide to open up a restaurant, know that you have two very willing regulars eagerly waiting in the wings :) On top of their outstanding culinary creations, Componere also offers top-notch service every step along the way. At our tasting, the room was tastefully arranged, and we had a wonderful time meeting the team. Ethan personally walked us through every course, explaining the seasonality of the ingredients and offering advice on the appropriate beverage pairings for each hors-d'oeuvre. They even surprised us with not one, not two, but three versions of His and Hers Cocktails, one of which perfectly captured Crater Lake, the site of our engagement. On the day of the wedding, the service staff were warm and professional, and the culinary team prepared each dish to the same impeccable standards as the small-scale tasting. And to top it all off, they thoughtfully put together a handwritten card and custom picnic basket for us to take with us at the end of the night, complete with a slice of our wedding cake to enjoy at home. What more can anyone ask for? In a nutshell, if you love great food and have the budget, GO WITH COMPONERE. This is a dream team that you don't want to miss out on. They will blow your mind, one bite at a time.

From beginning to end, Jennie (our primary coordinator) and Amanda were professional and went above and beyond to work with us to create an amazing event. Leading up to the event, the communication was excellent and Jennie was wonderful to work with, kindly accommodating our specific customizations and requests; I trusted her entirely! Despite having a very limited window of time before the event, Jennie and Chef Lamont graciously provided a tasting to inform our menu selection. On the day of the event, Jennie and the catering staff seamlessly set up the silent auction / cocktail hour / reception / bar, producing an event that reflected our vision entirely from high level layout configurations down to the details including beautiful gold rimmed frames for the food / beverage menu. The food was not only delicious, but beautifully presented. I ate plenty of the yogurt, fruit, and homemade granola for breakfast. Flavorful and high quality. The first day I had the Eggplant Sandwich for lunch and I honestly could've eaten three of them. The eggplant was flavorful, with great texture, and the veggies in the sandwich made the perfect compliment. The side salad and cookie were delicious as well. My day two lunch was the Chicken Sandwich, again flavorful with just the right amount of crunch. Yes, and the bread was soft and delicious as well. Day three we had a luncheon. The food disappeared fast. The veggies were incredibly flavorful, just the right cook on them. I loved the Orange and Beet Salad, the flavors worked well with the kale and walnuts. The steak and chicken were delicious, the steak was incredibly tender. I also tasted their vegan grilled mushroom option and loved that it tasted similar to the steak. Just incredible! Each day we enjoyed three different types of Aqua Fresca and it was just the perfect addition. My favorite was the Cucumber Lime, the container was empty with two hours. I just enjoyed an incredible experience with Cafe 15. They provided high quality food, with plenty of vegan options, and excellent service. I would definitely hire them to cater an event and sincerely hope they open a restaurant because I would frequent them regularly.
