Update - This guy also pays for fake reviews and has honest reviews removed from his business. Yelp, if you're considering removing this review at his request, please see my attached invoice to show I was a legitimate customer of this business. If I could give this guy a 0 I would. He did absolutely nothing but take my money and then blow me off. My home warranty company sent him after I was having trouble with my A/C where the fan on the outdoor unit wouldn't start unless I pushed the fan. The unit was still cooling the house fine once I manually got the fan going, but would obviously shut off in the middle of the night and without me there to get it going, I was waking up in a pile of sweat. I told all this to Anton when he showed up, and without doing anything besides checking the voltage he'd determined it needed a new capacitor, fan, and motor (even though everything I'd read from troubleshooting said it was probably just a capacitor which is just a $20 piece). But whatever, I'm admittedly no expert and my warranty was covering everything but my $150 deductible, which I paid Anton as soon as he arrived, assuming he was actually going to do his work (my mistake) . Anyways, he said he had to send it all to the warranty company for approval before he could do the job. Mind you when I called the warranty company later they said that was not how things are supposed to be done, and the repair guy is supposed to contact them while on-site for approval so they can do the job while they're still there. The next day, I was on the phone with the GM of the warranty company because I was having some issues with them (which wouldn't have been the case had Anton done the work while he was here). While I had the GM on the line, he called Anton to inform him that they had approved the job and asked him if they could send someone out that day (Friday). Anton said yeah, that he would send one of his guys out that day. I get off that call with the GM, about an hour goes by and I don't hear from Anton. I called him, got his voicemail, and left a message. Nearly three hours later he calls me back and says he's trying to move his guys schedule around to get someone out this weekend (mind you he said was gonna do it that day) and at the latest, he would be out by Monday. I told him that wasn't going to work, that I was already sleeping with no A/C (which he was already aware) and that I didn't wanna keep running the A/C on a bum capacitor because I read that could do more damage. So he tells me he understands and would try and move things around and told me he'd get back to me and let me know. The rest of the day goes by and I hear nothing back from him. The next morning, my compressor stopped turning on so the unit was no longer cooling. I called Anton twice, got his voicemail both times, and didn't hear anything from him all day. I decided to get a different A/C guy to come out because it was 85 in my house and getting worse. He put's a new capacitor in, and the fan starts right up no problem (which was the whole reason the unit wasn't cooling in the first place). Only now the compressor is still not turning on. He tries to work around and fix it and nothing. He said it probably went bad from trying to run on the bad capacitor, or from the fan not working (which was due to the capacitor). So now, because Anton couldn't replace a $20 piece while he was here like he was supposed to, and couldn't be bothered to return my calls (after he was already paid $150 for doing NOTHING) and give me my money back so I could go to someone else, I now have an $1800 repair on my hands. *Also just to note, after having spoken with my warranty company I didn't owe Anton the $150 he charged me upfront unless the job cost that much or more. Considering a new capacitor (which he had on him the day he was there) would of been way less than $150, it's clear he was just trying to run up the bill unnecessarily for his own profit. Bottom line, he showed up, took my money, didn't do what he was supposed to do (and in fact did NOTHING), and then couldn't be bothered to return my calls, leaving me out $150 and sitting in an 85-degree house for the rest of the weekend. This dude's a full-blown scam. Save yourself the time, frustration, and money and just go elsewhere. read more

We had Arnett Mechanical install a mini-split unit in April, by mid-late August we were having issues with the unit. Upon two different service calls and me urging that the unit was not cooling and working correctly we were told a replacement unit would be ordered under the warranty. Arnett Mechanical has now started using an answering service for calls. After several weeks of waiting and attempts to get in contact with Anton with NO luck, I used someone else's phone after 5 PM and imagine my surprise when he answered. I expressed my aggravation with being ghosted and the lack of communication on his part. I was told that he has not received any texts, calls, emails or messages that my husband and I had been making. He also said he had just received notification that the replacement unit was in and he needed to pick it up from the Distributor. He assured me that his guys would be over the the following day (Thursday) or Friday at the latest. I told him he needed to call and let us know which day since we have other contractors on the property. As I expected, No calls and no show up. Finally, the following week the workers showed up but NOT with the replacement unit we were told we would be given. Instead parts had been ordered. Upon taking the interior unit off the wall, I was told by the workers that the parts they ordered were wrong. They called Anton and were waiting for a response back from him to know what to do next. The workers told me that they were going to lunch but would be back. Shortly after the workers left for, "lunch" I noticed that they had taken my interior unit with them. THEY NEVER CAME BACK and we did not receive any communication as to what was going on. I called and sent texts to Anton with NO ANSWER or RESPONSE BACK YET AGAIN. My husband was able to get ahold of him several days later and he said the new parts were ordered. (MIND YOU, WE WERE TOLD REPLACEMENT UNIT. I HAVE PROOF OF THAT IN A TEXT) It has been almost a month since the workers came out and still being ghosted from ANTON. I did find out who his distributor was and contacted them. They were able to tell me that Arnett Mechanical had ordered parts and they were delivered to the distributor that day (Last Monday). More calls and Texts have been sent to ANTON with ABSOLUTLY NO RESPONSE OR COMMUNICATION BACK. ALL of this has cost extra money out of our pocket to have to purchase window units to help cool our 750sq foot area since the unit was not working correctly and unit/parts still have not been replaced and unit reinstalled. Not to mention having a warranty in effect for the last two months of no unit. Though he was very professional before hiring him to do this job and even up to the first service call, Anton has shown his true colors. As a business owner myself, communication with customers is of the most importance. No communication is pretty much all the proof I need of a shady job. I can only gather that his customers with warranty work don't matter to him since it doesn't pay him like putting in a new system. read more

We called Arnett mechanical after our AC went out and we were quoted an astronomical price by a big name competitor. Their response time was quick and their quote more than beat our first quote. They were able to repair our problem the very next day and saved us a ton. The owner actually comes out himself and works on the AC which is reassuring. The owner was extremely friendly and honest. As an added bonus, this is a Black owned business which we love to support. 10/10 recommended Arnett Mechanical. read more
