We recently had our wedding reception at Arnoldo's and they were easy to work with, knowledgeable, and professional. The food was amazing and everyone loved the look of the place. They covered everything we were looking for, and as far venue and catering go, I thought it would be a lot more. We did a cash bar, but pop and beer was free. The only downsides were that, we didn't have a DJ, so we were going to just run their sound system off of our phones, but that didn't work out. We ended up using a couple of JBL speakers to run the music for the night. That and I wish the good stayed out for longer. After doing our rounds as the bride and groom, they had already packed up the food. We only got one plate. Overall, a wonderful experience. These guys know what they're doing. read more

The venue is nice. The service was great. I have always heard good reviews about this place. I own a business in the area for the last 22 years. I have lived downriver all of my life. I have always heard about how great the food was here. That was important to me because I'm not a big drinker. As such I tend to indulge in the food more than most guests. But as the groom and the host of my wedding reception I still want to make sure that the needs of my guests were catered to. While everything else was superb the bar service was subpar. We paid for the top tier bar service, the premium bar. Even at that level they only serve Budweiser and Bud Lite which should cover the majority of beer drinkers for the night. Except my brother. He is a beer drinker and sticks solely to Corona Light or Modelo beer. So we requested Corona Light. Our request was accommodated at the cost of just under $5/bottle. We asked them to stock 48 bottles at that price. I'm not mentioning this as a complaint. I'm simply emphasizing how important it was to me that my guests were happy. I didn't want people leaving early to go to the bar or outside in their cars drinking alcohol that they brought with them. I have been to other weddings and have seen plenty of people doing that or running to White Castle because the food served at the venue was bad. Well we had 0 complaints about the food other than it seemed to be served a tad slow. Yes we upgraded all of the food too and had it served at the tables and not buffet style. We had plenty of raving reviews about the food. But the complaints about the bar were plenty as well. Our beer drinkers were fine but our people drinking mixed drinks weren't happy. We lost a good majority of them after dinner because the drinks were weak. We didn't bother reading reviews prior to booking this venue because we have never heard a bad word about the place and that's not my intent here either. After not being happy with the bar service though we went to see if there were any other complaints. Unsurprisingly there is one with a similar complaint from the weekend prior. I wasn't real happy to hear the owner of the place attempt to discredit the author of that review while also using multiple excuses to try to defend his bar against my complaint. He mostly pointed out and wanted to discuss his electronic measuring system which pours the shots electrically/mechanically which assists the bartenders from over pouring or over serving. It also keeps a record of what was served and how much for liability reasons. As a business owner in todays litigious society I can understand needing to do anything possible to reduce liability. Having a system like this can be a great asset should the unthinkable happen. But it shouldn't be used as an excuse to serve weak drinks disguised as a premium bar package. Now I don't know what happened here. The owner claims that the system shows that the shots were measured at a precise amount and there were "quite a few empty bottles". But I will testify as will my bride that the drinks were weak and mostly juice. That is supported by the complaints of my guests and in my opinion the review just ahead of mine as well. I don't know if the measuring system malfunctioned, if we weren't getting the premium liquor that we were promised, or what but this issue left me feeling disappointed in my event. This is a beautiful venue for the price and is going to be great for many types of banquets. But the bar service leaves a lot to be desired in regard to weddings where the after dinner guests remain mainly to drink and dance. The venue itself, the food, and the service including the bartenders get Five stars!!!! The drinks and the management of the bar get 1 star. I'd say 0 but the juice, soda, and water were good. That brings my review to three stars. I hate giving a bad review to any local business so I split this one. Be assured that if your event doesn't require the bar service this is a five star review. If your event leans heavily on the bar service as well consider it 2.5 star. read more

This is where my wedding was held. Almost everyone that attended complimented me on the food. They said is was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The options we had were the chef carved tenderloin of beef, panko encrusted cod, and the herb roasted rosemary chicken. Service is top notch and the decor was both tasteful and beautiful. We had a Star Wars/Super hero theme which they helped us create. Star wars movies played behind the bar all night. The second time we came here was for my baby shower and again everyone raved about the food. They are extremely organized and every detail is thought of. We also come here every year for Mother's day. The brunch is out of this world. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a great event venue. You wont be disappointed. read more

This review is solely about the food and customer service. The food is excellent, but that's where the positive experience ends. In order to reserve the space, the owner requires a minimum charge of 70 guests--fair. We only had approximately 35 guests, so we were already overpaying per plate. In order to offset this, we were satisfied thinking we could bring leftovers home with us. Welp, that didn't happen... we were not told in advance that "food isn't allowed to leave the building" (which, by the way, is an interesting statement considering the scrolling banner on the outside of the building advertises takeout). The servers also did not provide any advance warning that they were taking the food away (for good); had they, we could have gotten an extra plate to snack on. What's more is that they "assured" us that a police officer comes by nightly to pick up the leftovers to bring them to a homeless shelter, but it turns out the officer is the owners brother, so draw your own conclusions there. Another excuse for the "no food can leave" statement was "because COVID regulations," but again, after a simple Google search, it turns out it's 100% up to the owner to make this call at this stage of reopening, and it is NOT because of rules outside of their control. Finally, regarding service and COVID (an excuse that they used in their favor), when the banquet began, the owner turned on the air conditioning and closed the door to the venue. We requested the door stay open, even if that meant we turned off the A/C (because we preferred fresh air and ventilation as we're still in the midst of a pandemic), to which we were told that we couldn't because flies might come in. I understand it has probably been a rough year for the owners, but customer service, transparent communication, and flexibility can go a long way. read more

We had my sons soccer banquet here. A lot of the schools use this facility for events and catering. The food is basic banquet food. We had a Garden salad, Mashed potatoes, green beans, chicken, pasta, and meatballs. The service is good and the location is really nice. Just had my wedding April 22 2017. Would do it again at Arnaldos a thousand times over. The owner is very direct, straight shooter, knows his banquet hall. Price was SUPER REASONABLE I can't stress that enough. He has a price for everyone. The cod fish was the best I ever had and the stuffed meatballs my wife loved. They were very accommodating to the vendors and they had a solution for every aspect of the wedding. The lighting was awesome and when everything came together we had a perfect night. We blocked off a bank of rooms at the holiday inn banquet center in Southgate which is 5 miles away because they hosted a rehearsal dinner there and had cheap shuttle service so out of towners and guests had reasonably priced accommodations. I came to a wedding here and it was a great venue to be at. The parking situation is without a headache, the bathrooms are up to date and clean, and the ballrooms are spacious yet intimate. We had our wedding reception here on May 19th 2012. What an amazing venue. We booked the main ballroom. Which the moment I set foot in I knew that's where I wanted to have our reception. There is nothing more beautiful downriver. The food was amazing. It was so hard to narrow it down on what to have. The staff was friendly and efficient. They made our whole night g by with ease. People talked about the food for months! I also believe their prices were less then most of the other places we had visited. I'm sad my wedding day is over, but I sure hope to visit Arnoldo's again soon! read more

My wife and I had our wedding reception here. We were in the smaller banquet hall, Luna. The staff was amazing from the booking process all the way to the time of the reception. The food was amazing. We heard more times then not from our guests on how amazing the food was. I also am a DJ. I just had my wedding here in January and everything was perfect. I have gotten so many compliments on the food (the fish was to die for.) I didn't get to try the appetizers but I heard my guests raving about them . I knew from the minute I walked in the door that this was where I wanted to have my reception. We were in the main ballroom ,It's beautifully decorated and you can chose your own color scheme for the wall lighting . And that celestial ceiling is just simply amazing. The staff were so helpful and made my planning stress free . They were happy to answer any questions I had and ease my mind , and I probably asked a ton . We just had our wedding at Arnaldo's Banquet Center this weekend. I couldn't be happier! Everything was just the way I wanted it! We received so many compliments on the décor and the food! I was really sad the bridal party missed the appetizers because I heard they were delicious too! We had the crusted chicken, mostaccioli, carved beef, herb potatoes, ham, and veggies and everything was soo soo good! They also made churros for us too which were delicious. The pizza at the end of the evening was great too! The bartenders were fabulous, interacting with our guests and super friendly. There is nothing I would change. Then my sister took a couple of cupcakes from cake table when they made them available and a staff member grabbed them back and yelled at her! Perfectly-sized for smaller events and weddings (most places seem to have a 100-person minimum for weddings). Very clean. Setup according to our wishes. Robin (who was the one I dealt with most at the time): Also great. Very friendly, polite, cordial, aware. Covered all of the bases. The owners: I interacted with one of them on two occasions: the morning of my wedding and that night. That morning, he snapped at one of my family members for politely asking a question, then took off to another room. That night, he walked around looking angry and muttering to himself. Not only was the food amazing (gotta have the vodka sauce with penne!), the service was even better. They constantly offered more food and asked if everyone was good. The bartenders were amazing and if I was even near the bar, would make me a drink and have it waiting for me. The servers cleared plates in a very timely fashion. Just had my daughter's baby shower on February 9, 2019. The venue is beautiful and clean. The food was delicious. The management was very rude to us. It was freezing cold in the banquet room. We repeatedly asked them to turn up the heat, they said it was our fault because we had the door open, not true. Our guests were arriving. The shower started at 11:00 a.m. and they did not put any beverages out until noon. We asked them to set it up sooner, we were ignored. We specifically asked them not to cut a certain cake. They took it and did it anyways. I went into the kitchen and told the manager he was not supposed to cut it and his response was, "well, it's too late now". My daughter was in tears. Some of my family members left early because they were so cold. Both of my daughters are engaged and we considered using this facility but after the way we were treated, we will not use them again.
