I asked him to send a contract over and we set a start date. We were supposed to meet at the site at 2pm. Inspite of my repeated requests, he only sent a contract over on the morning of the start date and added extra amount. When I asked to speak to him about the contract he did not return my call. He did not show up to the appointment at 2pm and texted me that unless I signed the contract he sent (with the higher price) there would be no progress. Basically he is bait and switch artist not to be trusted. Waste of time!

He is very nice, honest, and trustworthy. For this project we had several items we wanted to get done and repaired around the house including the installation of storm doors on the front and back, installation of a railing for the stairs, reframing an electrical panel that involved cutting into the wall, installing a new support frame, and giving it a finished look. For the storm doors Alex had to construct a wood frame on both the front and back to give it an optimal fit, and a great finished look. He also repaired the locks on the front and back doors and installed weather stripping on both the frame as well as the door sweeps. We also had to have the dishwasher realigned and secured properly. On the back door we had him swap the hinges to have it open the other way. His work is always top notch and of the highest quality, and I'm always confident when I hire Alex that he will do the best job of anyone out there. I look forward to hiring him for our next project.

I've included a photo of one of the bathrooms which turned out great.

I've worked with a lot of contractors in the last few years but these guys are by far the best. From the second we emailed them, the communication was consistent and the responses we almost immediate. The craftmanship that put into the work was extremely well done and was treated like it was their own personal home. We had our fireplace completely remodeled and had electrical done so we could mount our TV. I could not be any happier with how it turned out. Billy was great with his suggestions on what we should do and I am so glad we listened! We plan on using Five Star Finish for our future home remodels. I have to speak on all the 1-star reviews due to the $100 deposit for an in-home evaluation. It was worth EVERY PENNY of the $100 and they deduct it from the services once you use them. If you want the best work done, then you need to put in the little money that you eventually get back.

Needless to say, there were plans, revised plans, and a lot of communication with us and the town, AND the insurance adjusters (we had 4 before the repair was completed). Marcello was steady throughout. We must have gone through at least 4-5 revisions and alternative ideas to find one the insurance company would agree to (my house is a balloon structure, meaning there are no supports in the middle of the house. This required posts to support the new hip rafter, and supports for the post on every floor, so Marcello was creative). He and his crew made sure the repair was sound, safe, and when he had to put a beam through my living room to support my house, he made sure it looked absolutely beautiful (and added another to balance it), AND as though it had been part of the house since the 1800's. He is a perfectionist, and everything, from the paint to the craftsmanship to the moldings, was done to beyond our expectations. Would recommend him 1000%. THANK YOU for giving us our house back!!!

Mike and his team executed the work professionally, responsibly and on time with an end product that we couldn't be happier with. Most importantly, Mike provided his insight on the design issues demonstrating a sense of sincerity towards the project and ensuring good quality work. Mike was fair about the payment structure and the billing breakdowns provided made the payment process more translucent. If we had to be critical, there were a few days during the construction when no work was being performed, given this Mike still managed to deliver the completed project on or before agreed upon timing, we enjoyed Mike and his team's professionalism and we were satisfied with the end result.
