They legit hire anyone that they can find without doing proper mental tests and background checks. In my incident today, Officer Matthew Raabe, was the first person to arrive after I waited 2 hours and in the end, he did nothing to help me resolve the issue other than arguing back to me and power tripping. He had no idea about the law and needs to go to school to be more educated in criminal law. He had very bad manners, was super unprofessional, and extremely lazy because he refused to write a police report. Furthermore, Officer Raabe refused to give me his name or badge number which triggered him to get angry and drive away from the scene even though he didn't resolve the issue at hand and fulfill his duty as an officer and properly help the citizens of our city. Officer Raabe was terrible at controlling his emotions and got extremely angry and even fled the scene without any resolution, it was super pathetic and disappointing. His name is Officer Matthew Raabe, badge number 5100

The incident involved an Asian deputy (identified as Deputy Lang) and a white male deputy (described as approximately 5'7", 200 lbs, with blonde hair and sunglasses). While Deputy Lang conducted himself in a smart, professional, and courteous manner, the conduct of his partner--the blonde male deputy riding in the passenger seat--was entirely unacceptable and fell severely short of the standards expected of the department. My specific grievances regarding the passenger deputy include: Refusal to Identify: When requested, the deputy refused to provide his name and badge number, which is a direct violation of standard department policy regarding public accountability. Negligent Demeanor: The deputy was not wearing his seatbelt either before or after our interaction, demonstrating a blatant disregard for basic safety laws and vehicle codes that he is sworn to enforce. Dismissal of a Serious Threat: I attempted to report a life-threatening situation, to which the deputy dismissively stated that he "did not have time" and told me not to "waste his time." As a tax-paying resident, I expect a basic standard of quality, urgency, and professionalism from public safety officers--especially when life-threatening matters are being reported. The lazy and dismissive attitude displayed by this individual is a liability to the community and a disservice to the professional standards demonstrated by his partner, Deputy Lang. I request that Internal Affairs investigate this matter, identify the passenger deputy assigned to Deputy Lang during this shift, and take appropriate disciplinary action. I look forward to a response detailing how this matter will be addressed.

The last thing I wanted to do was drive to an unfamiliar location to get a fix-it ticket written off, when who knows what else could be suddenly wrong with my car because of police presence, right? :-P Fortunately, the woman who answered the # on the back of my fix-it ticket-1-714-667-7000, (Diana)? was cheerful, friendly, helpful, & told me, "Once you arrive, call 714-288-6740 (24 hrs!!) "..an officer will inspect your vehicle & sign your ticket."-WITHOUT THE $ CHARGE police stations require! She even gave me directions to the office, & wished me a nice day! Location: 11100 Cedar St., Stanton, Ca., right off Katella. Sure enough, even though the lady I reached the next evening insisted I may wait an HOUR, we went, & 5 min. later, a kind gentleman (Sherriff Deputy) confirmed my brakelight worked, signed off my ticket, & wished us a nice day! Not EXACTLY what I expected-much better. Thank you Stanton Sheriff's Dept for making "one more multi-step problem." less stressful! Getting by ill, on limited income, paying for the car part, its replacement, the citation, copies,& certified mail to the court-is difficult enough without having to pay MORE $$ to prove it was fixed. I wish I would've gotten the tall gentleman's name to thank him here, as his assistance was highly appreciated! It was 11/10/17 @ 5:30 pm.

Officer Shockey--A True Example of Service with Humility…read more We recently had to call the Cypress Police Department because a vehicle had dropped debris all over our street, creating a serious hazard for drivers. Officer C. Shockey responded to the call, and his professionalism and kindness left a lasting impression on our whole household. Not only did he assess the situation quickly and ensure everyone's safety, but when the city cleaner arrived, Officer Shockey didn't just stand by--he rolled up his sleeves and helped sweep the street himself. Watching an officer take that kind of initiative and humility was genuinely moving. In a world where we often only hear about the negative, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the positive. Officer Shockey exemplified what true public service looks like: not authority, but compassion in action. Thank you to him and to the Cypress Police Department for showing that integrity and care still define what it means to protect and serve.

Him being part of the department since 2016 and taking part in the social media team he should understand that how he represents himself also puts his department under scrutiny and so easily to do so with such large media platforms available to utilize. Since the further separation between communities and law enforcement in recent years, it is crucial that he speaks and acts in an empathizing way to prevent further disconnection as this encounter did so for me. Community-oriented police training, in addition to sensitivity training should be brought forth to reeducate this police officer as he may have forgotten this aspect of his duty after obtaining his bachelor degree in criminal justice as his basic decency to treat others with respect is lacking. I have reached out to higher chain of command and he assured me he would address the situation and I appreciate his ability to speak to and with citizens respectfully.

Immediately called FVPD…read more The voice on the other side treated me respectfully and helped me professionally and swiftly. An officer arrived within minutes. Wow! He knew just how to handle the situation. Gave the violator a ticket. Explained to him that next time this happens, the vehicle will be towed. The violator moved his van so we could go to work. I hope there won't be a third time. Tips to citizens: - If the violator suggests to you that instead of you calling the police, you should go knocking door to door to find out whose vehicle it is to ask them to move it, do NOT fall for that BS. Immediately educate the prankster. Tell them straight up that you don't have time to compensate for their laziness (not in those words, if you wanna be courteous). THEY should be responsible. They should be checking the street every 5min to see if there's an open spot, and move their car out of the way. Why should you be burdened for their incompetence? - They may lie that the street was full when they were looking for a space. Since you don't have the evidence to disprove this claim, don't try to, even if you already know there's ALWAYS parking room at the end of the road. Just keep to yourself your realization that they are liars and are trying to play mind games with you. This awareness will reduce your chances of falling for their tricks. Instead, learn street smarts and social skills quickly, so you become sharper at catching mind games and how to counter them while you're young.
