We weren't asking for 504 accommodations, but he received intervention in the form of the resource officer who asked him a leading question after my son would not admit to suicidal ideation, "if you wanted to kill yourself how would you do it?" The boy's flaw was not depression but people-pleasing, so the resource officer drove him off-campus to the children's hospital before leaving me a voicemail. When the emergency room called for insurance information, they wanted to know why he wasn't brought in by a crisis action team or an ambulance.

After fixing the exhaust on my car I went to Stanton CHP, Westminster PD, and Westminster Courthouse to get it inspected. Westminster PD told me that they couldn't inspect it and that I would have to go to a CHP office where they would do it for free. Upon arriving to the Stanton CHP, we were rudely greeted and Officer Mitch told me that they don't inspect these type of tickets and that I would have to pay the state referee $120 to sign off my FIX IT ticket! Finally, I went to GGPD as my last stop, and the person at the front desk, an older gentleman wearing a blue button up, listened to my story and recommended that I call Officer Raney, the officer that pulled me over. He proceeded to give me the hours that Officer Raney was in office. The next day, I called GGPD and was kindly greeted by Maria, a front desk worker. She was very helpful and gave my phone number to Officer Raney. I explained to Officer Raney the troubles that the other departments, and even he questioned why they were giving me such a hard time. Raney then agreed to meet up with me to do the inspection the next day, and we got it taken care of. Overall, the officers and staff at Garden Grove PD were all so kind and professional. They were the only ones who didn't shoo me away for the minor infraction. They guided me throughout the whole process of clearing my ticket. The tone and approach did not match the situation. This experience has changed how I will handle future interactions. Moving forward, I will be more aware of my rights and limit my responses accordingly. All because of officers like Mr Cerda. People like him are what change the public's perception about law enforcement. Never in 15 years of diving and 4 interactions have I been treated in that way , with no provocation at all. Dispatchers are supposed to bring calm to chaotic situations, not add more stress to someone who is already shaken and scared. Yes, as a visitor 4 stars ! If you have someone that you…read morewant to visit, that's incarcerated here, don't forget to call to schedule the appointment. In addition, there are no more same-day visits. Unfortunately, there are no handicap spots for parking. Except those a distance away in a paying parking structure. There's a loading and unloading area, but for the duration of a visit, there are none. (handicap spots) Unless I'm mistaken. Please make sure that you follow all the rules and guidelines, because they seem to change often depending on circumstances . For my visitation, I had to bring cash (no credit card ) to put money on my friend's books. Don't Forget: you need your approved ID, And of course your car key. (I also tried to refrain from wearing any metal belts etc. going through the metal detector. There are outside lockers, however I've never used them before. Don't forget to bring the booking number of the inmate. And when you call up, make sure that the visit is not during their lunchtime, or if they have a work assignment time. (rarely, something may come up that will disrupt all visitation for the day) This may sound silly, but I always make sure that I wear my glasses, because if I wear contacts, the dust inside really does affect them. Additionally, (if you like) make sure that you bring wipes for the visit phone, who knows who used it last, by multiple people. The guards there were very nice and professional, the wait wasn't long at all. Note: There are restrooms inside, but there is NO drinking fountain. Reminder, no cell phones allowed, which is why I only took one outside picture! And that's my review!
