One officer vehicle, one paramedic & one fire truck. I proceeded to parked in front of the school sign on the red zone, as someone was being taken by the Paramedics. & there was no where else for me to park or get by close enough where if my AUTISTIC child threw a fit, I would be able to handle walking her in. I came back 5 minutes later to see this officer writting a ticket as everyone began to leave the premises. I said, 'I was sorry, it took 2 minutes', but of course her teacher had to speak about her behaviors for an additional 2 minutes. He then said to me, "it was not 2 minutes, look around everyone left". He proceeded to advise me to park further, past the green zone where the ambulance & fire truck were blocking everything, including vehicles. The area in which he recommended me use by the way was a 'No Parking Tow Zone' & there was a tow truck right there! Regardless I would have been stuck with some sort of penalty. Also, not to mention I would have gotten in the way of the emergancy having to walk my child through the scene. My child being autistic is no excuse but knowing that there was no other area or place to park due to this unfortunate event & being so blocked from entering or exiting the premises & blocking surrounding LIMITED parking areas, leaves us parents with "what do I do?" & "how do I avoid a situation like this"?

She clearly saw me waiting while she was in the bathroom taking the longest shit of her life, probably on her phone doing God knows what!, but instead of owning the delay, she twisted the narrative and tried to play gatekeeper like it was her personal mission to ruin someone's day. When I asked to speak to the sergeant, she conveniently left out key details and fabricated the timeline to cover herself going to the bathroom and printing and posting and taping a sign on the window because she was gone for so long , which tells me everything I need to know about how she moves the way she handles things needs to be investigated. And she needs to be drug tested with the way that she was acting. If you encounter her, don't even waste your breath. Ask for someone else immediately. People like this are bitter, miserable, and dying to project that onto anyone who crosses their path. Don't let her energy attach to you.

I made it a point to ask him his name and department (the lobby he said) because he was the most attentive, companionate and proactive person I have ever spoken to throughout this unfortunate experience as a family member of an inmate. I received a concerning phone call from my son's dad today who I am separated from that he was having some medical issues and the fire dept was called due to breathing issues. Dept. Demilio made sure to contact the housing facility and confirm that he was OK. Thank you for giving me some piece of mind and not just dismissing me or transferring me to some dead end like I have experienced before.
