While riding my motorcycle, I got a flat on my rear tire. I was in the carpool lane, and…read morethankfully, there was enough space for me to pull over to the right side of the lane - though it was still dangerous. An officer on the opposite side of the freeway noticed me from a distance and took the time to stop in the middle of the carpool lane to assure me that he would circle around and clear traffic so I could safely move my motorcycle to the right-hand shoulder. About five minutes later, he stopped the entire incoming 57 freeway traffic to let me do just that. The officer stayed with me as long as he could, until he received another call. He truly went out of his way to make sure I was safe, and I'm incredibly grateful for that. I made sure to thank him in person and told him I'd leave a positive review for whatever it's worth. So here it is: Thank you, Officer Rodriguez #23073. God bless you!

After hard long thinking, I decided to place this review. My daughter attends the Mitchell…read moreDevelopmental School which this morning of April 24, 2019 (me being late due to my child & her tantrums) came in to the school street at about 8:20am & happened to see the school entrance blocked. One officer vehicle, one paramedic & one fire truck. I proceeded to parked in front of the school sign on the red zone, as someone was being taken by the Paramedics. & there was no where else for me to park or get by close enough where if my AUTISTIC child threw a fit, I would be able to handle walking her in. I came back 5 minutes later to see this officer writting a ticket as everyone began to leave the premises. I said, 'I was sorry, it took 2 minutes', but of course her teacher had to speak about her behaviors for an additional 2 minutes. He then said to me, "it was not 2 minutes, look around everyone left". He proceeded to advise me to park further, past the green zone where the ambulance & fire truck were blocking everything, including vehicles. The area in which he recommended me use by the way was a 'No Parking Tow Zone' & there was a tow truck right there! Regardless I would have been stuck with some sort of penalty. Also, not to mention I would have gotten in the way of the emergancy having to walk my child through the scene. My child being autistic is no excuse but knowing that there was no other area or place to park due to this unfortunate event & being so blocked from entering or exiting the premises & blocking surrounding LIMITED parking areas, leaves us parents with "what do I do?" & "how do I avoid a situation like this"?

Jail personnel, in my limited experience dealing with them tend to be on the dour side and you kind of always get the feeling they are judging you in some way for even knowing an inmate. Jackie was the opposite. She was totally helpful, very patient and made sure that the purpose of my call was taken care of to my satisfaction. I didn't sense any judgment vibes only a positive and helpful spirit. She should be commended for that because people are usually stressed to the max when trying to navigate the incarceration system with all of its intricacies and complications. It was refreshing to just be helped. As simple as that should be it's usually not. Thank you Jackie. I hope you get promoted or something! Anthony Mandich

I waited respectfully, only to be told I was "too late" -- at 10:03 AM. So apparently, if you're held up because they're unavailable because they're taking a shit in the bathroom, , it still counts against you. Make it make sense. What really got me is the smug attitude and complete lack of accountability. She clearly saw me waiting while she was in the bathroom taking the longest shit of her life, probably on her phone doing God knows what!, but instead of owning the delay, she twisted the narrative and tried to play gatekeeper like it was her personal mission to ruin someone's day. When I asked to speak to the sergeant, she conveniently left out key details and fabricated the timeline to cover herself going to the bathroom and printing and posting and taping a sign on the window because she was gone for so long , which tells me everything I need to know about how she moves the way she handles things needs to be investigated. And she needs to be drug tested with the way that she was acting. If you encounter her, don't even waste your breath. Ask for someone else immediately. People like this are bitter, miserable, and dying to project that onto anyone who crosses their path. Don't let her energy attach to you.

In addition, there are no more same-day visits. Unfortunately, there are no handicap spots for parking. Except those a distance away in a paying parking structure. There's a loading and unloading area, but for the duration of a visit, there are none. (handicap spots) Unless I'm mistaken. Please make sure that you follow all the rules and guidelines, because they seem to change often depending on circumstances . For my visitation, I had to bring cash (no credit card ) to put money on my friend's books. Don't Forget: you need your approved ID, And of course your car key. (I also tried to refrain from wearing any metal belts etc. going through the metal detector. There are outside lockers, however I've never used them before. Don't forget to bring the booking number of the inmate. And when you call up, make sure that the visit is not during their lunchtime, or if they have a work assignment time. (rarely, something may come up that will disrupt all visitation for the day) This may sound silly, but I always make sure that I wear my glasses, because if I wear contacts, the dust inside really does affect them. Additionally, (if you like) make sure that you bring wipes for the visit phone, who knows who used it last, by multiple people. The guards there were very nice and professional, the wait wasn't long at all. Note: There are restrooms inside, but there is NO drinking fountain. Reminder, no cell phones allowed, which is why I only took one outside picture! And that's my review!
