My only complaint (as silly as it is), is their Facebook page. It's not engaging with others. It's cold and not welcoming. I also follow the Huntington Beach PD on my facebook, and there is such a huge difference in the way they (HB) interacts with their neighborhood (via facebook). I really think Newport Beach, needs to take a page from HB. To become neighborhood friendly and not so standoff'ish, this would only benefit the department and our beautiful city. I received a voicemail from Officer Martinez asking for mo was not theree information. The second time I came down to the PD, I was told Officer Martinez was not there. Ibrought down a complete report as to what happened on May 14th. I included pictures to assist in understanding my complaint. I then went on Yelp to see what kind of reviews Santa Ana Club Towing had. There were over 5 pages of reviews, and my suspicions were spot on. I made a copy of at least 25 reviews, all collaborating with my report about Santa Ana Towing Club setting up a sting to tow cars. For the 3rd time I brought down my findings to the Tustin PD.These reviews date back to 2023,24,& 25. I am appalled at the history of this company and can't believe these incidents have gone on this long without any investigations. Again, I was informed that Officer Martinez was not in. They don't have voice mail so you can't leave a message for them. This time they told me she was in some sort of training and wouldn't be back until next week. I asked if I could leave her a message to call me. They took my name and number but I do not have much faith in my message being delivered. Why did they not tell me from the very start she was in some training and would not be back for a few weeks. Go figure? So now I wait and see if anything will be done. I was asked to do a wellness check on someone and when I arrived I noticed 2 LBPD units parked up…read morethe street and then I saw a message that the person I was checking on was deceased. I needed to relay the situation to a family member that lived out of state and it was nerve wracking to say the least. The officers were there for hours waiting for the coroner and explaining to all kinds of nosey people with somewhat inappropriate questions. I have a handful of cops in my family but I don't get to hear about the slow days per se. LBPD contracts with a service called TIPS. They send counselors to calls where someone is impacted by a traumatic situation. These people along with the officers were amazing and they stayed till the last person walked out and I locked the door. Of course if I get a ticket from LBPD in the future I'm def coming back and taking some s away.

He knew just how to handle the situation. Gave the violator a ticket. Explained to him that next time this happens, the vehicle will be towed. The violator moved his van so we could go to work. I hope there won't be a third time. Tips to citizens: - If the violator suggests to you that instead of you calling the police, you should go knocking door to door to find out whose vehicle it is to ask them to move it, do NOT fall for that BS. Immediately educate the prankster. Tell them straight up that you don't have time to compensate for their laziness (not in those words, if you wanna be courteous). THEY should be responsible. They should be checking the street every 5min to see if there's an open spot, and move their car out of the way. Why should you be burdened for their incompetence? - They may lie that the street was full when they were looking for a space. Since you don't have the evidence to disprove this claim, don't try to, even if you already know there's ALWAYS parking room at the end of the road. Just keep to yourself your realization that they are liars and are trying to play mind games with you. This awareness will reduce your chances of falling for their tricks. Instead, learn street smarts and social skills quickly, so you become sharper at catching mind games and how to counter them while you're young.

There are no racial profiling in most Orange County Cities. They make me feel safe in the city. We have less crime, if any. Nothing ever goes on in Fountain Valley. However, the police do arrest lots of people coming in to our city to drink and drive. We do have some nearby colleges in the city. Lots of young people like to drink here. Police are professionals, and they even hire young officers all the time fresh out the academy.

I only had cash, so my friend paid the $23 parking fee for me. Unfortunately, when entering my license plate number, he was off by one letter. When we returned to my car, I found a $58 parking ticket -- despite the fact that parking had been paid for. This was clearly an honest, verifiable mistake, not an attempt to avoid paying. At the time, I planned to resolve it the next time I was in the area. However, I live nearly 45 miles away, and life got in the way. When I later went to register my car, I discovered there was now a DMV hold, and the ticket had increased to $83. I immediately contacted the police department, explained that parking had been paid and that the issue was a one-letter license plate error. I was told there was nothing that could be done because I didn't contest it within 21 days -- even though the ticket was issued under incorrect circumstances. When I asked to see a judge, I was told that option was "no longer available" and that my only choice was to pay. No review. No discretion. No accountability. This doesn't feel like enforcement -- it feels like extortion. A system that acknowledges no human error and provides zero recourse after an arbitrary deadline is fundamentally unfair. Holding someone's DMV registration hostage over a paid parking mistake is excessive and unreasonable. I'm incredibly disappointed in how rigid and dismissive this process is, and I hope the city seriously reconsiders how situations like this are handled.
