Tx Oncology of El Paso is a despicable horrible place to receive cancer treatment. If I had a dog…read morewith a cancer diagnosis I would shoot it before allowing it to be treated at el paso tx oncology. My journey began with meeting my oncologist that I know was not a good fix. After 5 days of thinking and meditating on it i called, El Paso oncology to request a transfer of oncologist. I contacted El paso on 4/20/26. I was told I would receive a call back. No one called me from the oncology team. On 4/24/26 I contact them at 9Am sharing the latter information. I was again told I would be contacted regarding my concerns to change oncologist. At 2pm on 4/24/26 I called El Paso Tx oncology again sharing my frustration at not receiving a call back. Each person I spoke to asked me the same question. What was the reason for requesting the change I share that information approximately 4 times. On 4/24/26 after my many calls I was call by the medical assistant. She said the only way to get out of working with this oncologist was to meet with him in person and tell him the reason I want a new oncologist? Say what? I explained since I was dx on 4/15/2. Ive had to take time off to meet with oncoligust to get biopsy results, go for blood work, meeting to discuss genetic testing, more blood work and a schedule pet scan. While i was willing to meet, I did not want to take more time off just so I could tell this oncologist I no longer wanted to work with him.we agreed that on my next visit I would do both things. I explained I was not going to change my mind about the transfer. I assumed I would hear about my transfer, I did not, so I called Tx oncology. The second team members called and stated i would not get transfered until I met with my current oncologist, he agrees to let me transfer, and he calls another MD to speaks with them and they agree to take me on as a patient. I explained that was unacceptable, El Paso Tx oncology's job is the betterment of the patient not to coddle MD. BtW there is no time line for this Transfer it's based on the whim of the oncologists.i admit I became angry. She stated she would have the RN manager for the team call me. She did while I was in a proceedure. She stated she would call me back. She did not! so I called again. The RN tells me the MD at el paso tx Oncology are busy. Only the MD i dont want to work with can get me transferred, that is my only option. When I complain about delayed treatment she said my treatment is not delayed. I admit I got angry. She then says I have the right to go some where else. All the doctors Ive requested are at el paso oncology. She says she can provide doc outside of El Paso tx oncology. I ask for that information. She only has 3 doctors. I repeat 3 doctors. I called the 1st referral and the number sends me in circles I cannot schedule an appointment. That leave 2.clearly im not valued enough to receive treatment, even with excellent insurance. Now im breaking down and im crying. Something ive not done since this process began.again tx Oncology is a disaster, cold, ridiculous business that does not. I repeat does not care about cancer patients.one star is too high.

A week before, I had obtained my blood test orders and gone to Quest Diagnostics at (06:00), where Lluvia efficiently made the draw and later faxed the results to Dr. Munoz. I got over my initial shock upon seeing a former colleague, Carmen, who was accompanying her husband; my pleasure was doubled to meet receptionist Lulu, an exceptionally friendly professional who quickly got me in. She surprised me a bit at her magnificent ability, considering the large waiting room was rather full of patients (only a portion of whom were to see Dr. Munoz). I was taken aback slightly upon meeting Dr. Munoz, anticipating that he would shower me with good news about the results. Although all my numbers looked good, he was a bit grim about my white cell count--until I told him that I had donated platelets at UBS. To be on the safe side, he gave me a follow-up draw orders, not to be completed for at least a week, giving my bones time to make new blood. He also understood why I moved a bit slowly--my orthopaedist, Dr. Urrea, had told me a decade ago that I had premature arthritis, and now it is MATURE arthritis. Regardless that my knee is a bit gamey, I can still pedal. Indeed, I participated in the Rio Bravo segment of the international Chupacabra bike race held just South across the river, in Cd. Juarez, Mexico, Saturday. Talk about a great event; even better was my unwitting participation! Anyway, if you need superior primary care, you can certainly get it here, especially from Dr. Munoz. I give him/Valley Medical Clinic my wheel of approval!
