tl;dr Very frustrated with lack of interaction between service/parts. Won't be coming back. I've tried to get two retrofits for my new Chevy after chips became available. I've had three issues with getting these chips, two of which are Armen's, and one of which seems to be only Chevy's fault. Issue 1 - Early 2023, I learn one of the two missing features on my 2023 Chevy is available to be retrofit. I make an appointment at Armen a few weeks ahead of the appointment date. I live 45 minutes away, so I use these appointment days to take the train into Philly and work there. About two weeks before my appointment, and one week after making it, I call to make sure the chip is in. To my surprise, no chip had been ordered. The service staff had not communicated to Parts that I was in need of a chip. Luckily, there was still enough time for the chip to be ordered. Chip came, appointment went fine, no other issues. But had I not called Parts to double check, I would have shown up on the appointment day without a chip available. Issue 2 - Late 2023, I go in for my other retrofit. No Parts issues, but I get a call midday during the appointment that the chip Chevy sent wasn't working. I was told due to the way these "recalls" work, they can't substitute a different chip. They said I'd have to come in again a different day so they could re-order another chip. I don't believe this is Armen's fault, but again, frustrating. Issue 3 - Early 2024, I call to make an appointment  to go in again for that 2nd retrofit. We schedule an appointment approximately two weeks out. The week before the appointment, I call Parts to confirm the chip has been ordered and is ready due to prior communication issues. Parts said it was there and ready for me. I get to the appointment and to my surprise, no chip has been ordered. I have to come again a different day so they can re-order the chip. I've drawn the line, and I'm not returning. Beyond frustrating. read more

Took my car in for service and when I picked up my car, I found a cartridge of nicotine patches under the seat where my kids sit. I tried to call and speak with one of the owners about it, but never got a call back. I will never take my car back here again. read more

I went here a few days ago for a free recall repair and decided to use a service credit from a visit in 2016 when they overfilled my car during a routine oil change. I thought I'd give this place another chance to get the job done correctly; perhaps the prior overfill was an isolated incident. They poured five quarts of oil into a car whose engine capacity is 3.8 quarts. Again. I made them aware of this via a phone call, and I was told to bring the car back in. When I returned with my car, I received neither an apology nor a refund for the overfill or for the waste of my time. I did receive a credit for a future service visit. I dropped my car off for an inspection on Sunday. I was told it would be ready on Friday. Friday I never got a call. So I called them on Saturday. I was told it would be finished on Monday. Monday I never got a call. My husband called. He was told by the service manager they told me I could come and pick up the car until the part came in. I was never given that option. Today is Wednesday. I was told the car would be ready today. I never got a call and it's 6 pm. I still don't have my car!!! We've been loyal customers for 40 plus years but unfortunately I won't be doing business with them in the future. read more

Do not bring your car here unless you purchased your car for Armen and are forced to. I took my equinox in because it was making a noise, test drive it with the mechanic who heard the noise and waited about 2 hours. They told me my car needed hub bearings, control arms, struts and an alignment... $3,500 plus the 160 I paid for them to tell me this. Since this is a Chevy dealership it's all top of the line prices. I took it to a non Chevy mechanic and paid 1,800. Come to find out the noise that the car was making, is the transmission oil pan gasket that needs to be replaced, not any of the 3,500 worth of work Armen suggested. Essentially, I paid 160 for them to give me wrong information. Also, Steve at the front of the desk is the worst customer service agent I have ever dealt with. Rude and condescending from the very start and worse when I called to ask why the car was not diagnosed properly. I don't understand why someone with zero empathy is working in customer service.. definitely only come here if you have to. read more

Their team at the desk always works hard, pays attention and gets right to helping me. They are good at answering questions and helping me try to save money where I can. - I had a GREAT experience working with the body shop as well. All around good job. Decided to change assembly myself since plastic was yellowing and saw that 3 tabs were broken off and a clip missing No wonder why they refused to fix it. Had another issue. The service writers are slimy oily overbearing and flabby men who seem to have no status anywhere in life and lord what little authority they have, scornfully. They are incapable of telling the truth or giving the benefit of any technical experience for a longtime customer. Their only adroit characteristic is to instantly smell money where there they sow confusion and doubt. the service waiting area is comfy and I've never had any issues with repairs here but when you call the service department they often sound like they don't want to be bothered at all. they also have a terrible habit of sending you to voicemail when you need to speak with service writer. i will continue to use them because my car is new and still under warranty but its not my favorite place. read more

I purchased 3 vehicles from them over the last few years and was able to get good deals.  Although I would give them a solid 4 stars on the sales side of things I would only give them 1 star on the repair and service side. I will no longer use them for general service items.  I will only use them for chevy specific issues that are difficult for my current mechanic to figure out.  I have had three occurrences already where they told me I needed to replace something that was not necessary to replace. My normal mechanic showed me where they were incorrect in their assessment and that he could repair it for a lot less than what they were charging to replace the item. Their pricing is also higher than my mechanic and he is higher than the norm. read more

I bought an used 2007 Chevy Cobalt in January. 8 months later, I'm being told that there is a leak in the fuel line and it has to be completely replaced and it'll cost me $1,000. They said that the fuel pump is under warranty but not the fuel line. Shouldn't a leak in fuel line something the dealer should have checked prior to selling me the car? Is this something that happens in 8 months? I was told that the leak was nothing to do with my driving and usually doesn't leak after 8 months of driving yet here I am, needing to spend money on something that I feel like the dealership should have taken care of prior to selling the car. This place strung me along for years with an issue another car dealership told me they could have helped me out with upon its first arrival. They condescended me, as if I was the crazy one, even when I would bring my car back 3 times in one year for the same issue. I would get my car serviced every season and still would go all summer with no ac and then all winter with no heat. I spent so much money on uber's thinking "this time, my car will be fixed for good" and then a few months down something else would need replaced. The whole reason I bought something new was so I could have something reliable, working 2 jobs. After the manager wouldn't pick up my phone calls a couple of times, he finally called back after I told his secretary that I was upset and broken down on Lincoln in the middle of winter with a child in the car. He frankly told me "welp, it's no longer covered under lemon law", while also admitting my car was a "horrible model". I missed Thanksgiving with my family this year after spending hundreds on "maintenance" because I only had one day off and they "couldn't find any rentals, no idea where they go." Do not get your car serviced here. I will never buy a Chevrolet ever again after being told that my car "just wasn't built that well" and was not given any options for a car that barely had 60,000 miles on it, serviced religiously and spent thousands on to maintain. It took me months to write this single review because of how violated I felt. I feel that they definitely prayed on me being a "young lady that probably knows nothing about cars." Every person I've spoken to about this, especially those who do work with cars have told me that Chevy steered me wrong. So much money that I will never see again and definitely needed. read more

I've been here twice. Both times took forever. The second time i got here at about 8:30 am for an oil change. I went across he street to planet fitness and then Dunkin' Donuts and still hadn't heard back. So i walked back over and they ask me if i have onstar. I asked why and they had locked my keys in the car. They didn't even call me! They also tried to charge me for my oil change that was free on my warranty with a new car. When i reminded the woman about the warranty she said "Oh you're right. I thought it said you took it somewhere else." My experience with Armen Chevy was anything but acceptable. I bought my car from them on Jan 22; by April 4th I needed a new transmission; I get it; it was a used car these things happen. But in less than 70 days?! When I drive 9 miles a day? I broke down and had the car sent over to the Armen Chevy repair shop thinking my car was still under warranty because that's what the window paper work said it has a warranty. When I called the shop to see if they could look at it the man I spoke with was Steve who was the most ignorant and condescending man I have ever spoken with. Telling me that if "he can get someone to look at it; it won't be til later in the afternoon or the following day if they aren't busy" well that's horrible customer service. Then I get a phone call back within 20 minutes telling me that it was the transmission and it would be $4000 plus labor. Well to say I was floored is an understatement. I said to him that I think it should be still under warranty going off what the paper from the sale stated. I was told well sweetie (which is completely degrading) we have nothing here saying that it's under warranty. So I called he sales department and dealt with Joe(sales manager) and he acted like I was beneath him for buying a used vehicle; sales is sales in the retail world. But I digress, they acted like I was crazy for stating I thought I had a warranty and they said it's a standard 1 month or 1000 mile warranty which is complete and utter bull because at the time my car broke down I drove 1093 miles. So, sick of dealing with people speaking down to me and treating me like I'm an idiot which I believe because I'm a female or because "I did by a used vehicle" as I was told. I had my car towed from there to another mechanic who did the work for $2800 AND fixed other things that I brought up at the point of sale to the salesperson but was told "it's too much work to get it fixed" which should have been a clue into what type of company Armen Chevy is.. but the papers were already signed... when I called the repair shop to tell them that I was having the car towed elsewhere and to give the keys to the tow truck driver; I was told by the lady on the phone that the car wasn't even looked at yet.Ummm then who called me to tell me that I was going to be $4000 for a transmission??? A ghost?! It's just bad business!!!!!! I can GUARANTEE I will never be back for sales or repair on my car. read more

Barry, Handled my service after Steve passes me over to him. Thanks God, and he is very professional and is customer focus on the customer car problem. He has integrity. If you don't get him then ask for him. You will be handled with care and professionalism. He may not be there in the future, if needs deal with co-workers like Steve and Service Manager Chip. Chip does care about customer experience, just making money for his department. I really wonder if this dealership GM knows this is how the Service is operating like this? My Initial Experience: First off Steve greeted me. Even though I was advised to bring my car by at 2:00 pm anyway, because the car will not start. I had an appointment for the next day, so I considered what customer advisor said to me and knew I had appointed for the next day. So it made sense to me so I had the car towed in. Although Steve did not appreciate I was advised by somebody other than him and held the opinion, it did not make good sense and went on looking for who advise me to bring the car in. He found the advisor who advises me and went on to berate that person in front of the customer. Who gave him the right to do that? Not in management. And from that point on he gave me a hard time and explained that they really do not like working on older cars. My car has 57,000 original miles and excellent condition and he held this belief without seeing the car. He is just ASS HOLE with no customer service focus. Its apparent management accepts this behavior because he is a good earner for Service department. BEWARE: SO DON'T TRUST HIM WHAT HE MAY ADVISE YOU. I've purchased 2 different Chevy Cruzes and both cars have had issues from the beginning. My first car was a complete lemon and Armen even acknowledged the trouble I had by offering me an extra year of warranty coverage on my next Cruze. I should have known better and gone somewhere else. The current Cruze needed to have a new battery and new tires within 6 months of purchase and I later discovered that Armen Service had glued on my bumper, instead of doing the proper thing and welding it. I was also promised a 2nd key by the sales department, which I have yet to receive. In addition, the guys who run the front desk in their service center are rude and condescending. They have no patience and are not willing to answer simple questions. They are condescending and are constantly trying to sell you additional services that are not necessary. They make me feel uncomfortable bringing my car to them. I've never had a problem completely fixed and they charge $100 to check an engine light and follow up by saying nothing is wrong. I will not be using Armen as my Chevy dealer or service center anymore and will be switching to another dealer for any future service. My next car will not be a Chevy. read more

Being new to the area, I took my Chevy Cobalt in for the ignition recall. The lady who set up the appointment was very nice...that was the end of that! The man at the check-in desk was rude and everyone left us standing there wondering what to do. When we came back, they didn't acknowledge us for sometime...I figure because they didn't make any money fixing the GM debacle. The next day, several pieces (the electronic door opener) and wires were hanging down on the driver's side. We stopped back and were rudely told that it wasn't their fault. However one guy got down and shoved everything back up in the console. Of course, it all fell out a day later. I thought about calling GM and telling them about the shoddy service...but I don't imagine it will help. I certainly won't ever use this place again and will make it a point to let everyone know to go elsewhere. read more
