We stopped at the Highland Park store once after having dinner in that area, but we found it small and it didn't have any items we liked (at the time). Finding another Wasteland in Studio City was a pleasant surprise. It's not as big as the one in Hollywood, but it seemed to have a better mix of luxury, vintage and affordable premium brands. The store is super-clean and organized. Like the Hollywood store, each item is well-curated and reasonably priced. I found a cute top from the 70's for the daughter in amazing condition. Checkout was quick and easy. The security guard in front was very friendly. Lots of parking options. We'll be visiting often since a few of our favorite places to dine are nearby.

The store is clean and overall organized, but the space between the racks is quite narrow making it awkward for two people to be in the same section. At one point a woman unknowingly jabbed me a couple times with hangers as we were looking at opposite racks. Check out has always been friendly. I've also sold and consigned a few items at this location. Understanding what they are currently buying and only bringing a few (5-10) select pieces has made the process very easy. I always take my sales in trade which has paid for many items for the husband and daughter. :)

Maybe 35 mins later got a notification I was next. Came back, they called my name. 5 mins later after some nice chit chatting I was cashing out! Staff was nice to me. Effortless to sell my jacket. Free street parking around the corner. Didn't get a bunch of money but I excepted that. They were clear on the selling price and offered me 25% of that. Easy peazy!

I've always been uncomfortable at Macy's and Bloomingdales, etc, and wanted a suit that was more unique for my wedding. After reading the reviews, I had a good feeling about Armani Wells. Private fitting by appointment. Claudia Wells booked my online appointment in a professional and friendly manner. Her shop is small, but you can instantly see everything is quality. Claudia chatted with my fiancee and me for a few minutes and started pulling jackets. I was surprised that she "sized me up" perfectly - I have been difficult to fit in the past. The third jacket started speaking to us all and Claudia had me try on the pants. To my surprise, they were a perfect fit (this never happens to me). A stylish shirt, and fantastic silverish tie, finished off with gorgeous Magnanni shoes. Claudia was amazingly spot-on in her choices - both my fiancee and I loved the look, the fabric - chic without being crazy, conservative but with a little flair. When we were finishing up she also showed me that the suit had a uniquely Los Angeles provenance (I've never used that word with clothing). The suit had belonged to a much loved Los Angeles media member that we faithfully watched on television. I want to keep the name private for now - it was a little overwhelming and emotional. And truly made the whole experience more special than it already was. I will definitely be back. If you are confused about what to wear, guys - Claudia will tell you! And she will be correct! Shopping here is fun. The setting is intimate and you can play around with different looks and outfits at your leisure. The owner, Claudia Wells, has already weeded out anything that lacks class, style, and quality, she buys her stock with a vision of men looking their best. Claudia is a lovely human being and people feel comfortable with her right away, even though clothes shopping can be a very personal, even sensitive experience, depending on one's pride, insecurity, or vanity. Claudia is a clothing coach, if you will, her experienced eye helping, but not pushing, to create the ultimate image each of us wants to achieve. I bought a matching blue sweater and sport coat here, and did not realize fully until I got home and compared them to other clothes, just how well crafted was the cut and class of the garment. This is not a cheap store because the clothing is superior, but it is nonetheless bargain pricing because you can't look like this without otherwise shopping at very pricey clothiers. I was so happy to pick up a Ermenegildo Zegna suit in flawless condition for such a killer price, wow! Armani Wells is a men's clothing boutique unlike any other. Guys, if you want to get great clothes at a MASSIVE savings, this is the place. I have been there several times and always I leave with a smile on my face! Claudia is my girl. She is always patient with me. Has a great sense of style. Always has unique pieces that you just can't find. Her prices are fair for high end designer pieces. They offer used but not abused high-end and designer mens clothing and have simply one of the best selections in Los Angeles if not the world, offering the occasional "one-off" piece custom-tailored for clientele. Me and my boyfriend ended up here a few days ago while strolling the blvd. They seemed to have great clothing here. My guy got a great deal on a new, used suit. Only cost like 250.00. We were all over LA looking for one and we found this one in Orange County drove down here not knowing what to expect, well was, I surprised to find not only this shop but many others in this area, but this one was beautifully done. The sales people were lovely, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We didn't find the prom dress, but we did find a great store and we will come back again.

I came here on Wednesday 5/27 and was excited to show this place to another vintage loving friend. We were having a good time selecting pieces and shopping around. I had brought a blouse up to the counter that I noticed was priced as a 2 piece set , but there was no second piece attached to the hanger. I asked the woman at the counter if they knew where it was as I would've gladly preferred the set. She went over to ask the owner and when she came back she said they couldn't sell it until they located the second piece as it was a set. (It was priced as $88) which would've been too high to purchase as a single item anyway. Then she said something that we found completely appalling "unless we don't find the missing piece , you can purchase the top alone for $100) excuse me?? How does that make sense-- it's missing the pantsuit so you want to overcharge me? When we asked how they thought that was fair , she responded with "well it's a really RARE item" and we said it WAS RARE now how do you manage to mark up the price when it's missing the set ?? We both LAUGHED and She said "I'm sorry you feel that way" the audacity of them having a sign outside their shop that reads about supporting community when they demonstrate bad business practices such as this. We thought about putting all of our items back because we thought that was ludicrous on their part. But , we did spend so much time there .. in the end my friend put back a couple items she had planned on purchasing because she was so shocked that they thought that would fly with us ... Just calling something "RARE" does not excuse marking something up on the spot especially after the fact it's actually worth less now that we know it's actually missing a piece. Smh. Because of this we both won't be returning. There are plenty of beautifully curated vintage shops elsewhere who don't have bad business practice. Let me suggest a few other places for you to check out : Jet Rag, space city Vintage, American Vintage, Starday, Avalon Vintage, Sneaky Tiki just to name a few! :)

I showed the owner a picture of my rare to find piece & within an hour of me leaving she was texting my mom multiple photos of items similar that she could get her hands on in a week! One of her finds seemed to be up my alley & she messaged me within days that she was holding it for me. I went into the store, looked AMAZING, leather as soft as butter, fit was right - &&&& the style was exactly what I was looking for. So, as a surprise for my sister, I went to Jackie's shop to look into getting a bag made for my sister. The shop was filled with her leather goods and she had a variety of leathers from which to choose. I decided on a cognac colored bag for her. I asked Jackie to make the exact bag style that she saw - the fold over triangle sling bag. Since I was there, I got one for myself made as well. The following week, the bags were ready to be picked up. They were beautifully made, despite an issue regarding the placement of the zipper. And, even without any specific treatment of the leather, the bags are durable and stains seem to disappear on them. My sister loves the bag and we get tons of compliments on these bags when we carry them. Yes, her work is expensive but it's unique and in my opinion, very well worth it. If you're in Burbank and looking for a wonderful leather creation, go and visit her.

The shop had so many pretty things. I would've gotten more than just one top, but I promised myself I would only spend on what I really needed for this dinner. Gramercy had so many lovely tops in all sorts of beautiful colors, terrific beach coverups, as well as hats, scarves, and dresses. I wound up getting a matching cami and Italian silk over-top in a beautiful sunset orange. It went perfectly with my brown suede skirt and heels for dinner. See my photos for the full outfit! This boutique also has fun and casual tank tops and T-shirts. The shop caters to people of all ages. I enjoy shopping here because there's always something beautiful and items are often discounted. I'm going to shop here more often. It's been a while, and it's time to return!

Does Flirt Clothing live up to its name?…read more If you're expecting an inanimate building to ask your name and number, then no. And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. "Oh you are quite the looker, aren't you..." Anyway, speaking of incredible, psychologically unhealthy narcissism (or not, whatever), the pink-curtained dressing rooms have matching pink folding chairs -- everything in the store has either touches or tons of pink, which sounds like a Hello Kitty nightmare but is actually kind of cute in a flamingo-pecked-my-eyes-out way. When you try things on, it's with a soft background of Pepto Bismo, but it does make that hotgasmic pair of koolats stand out in palatial, plaid glory. Sweet Heavens, but you're beautiful. Now close your curtain -- that weird tattoo guy with his tattooier girlfriend can see your thong. Hey, the stuff you're trying on is on sale, too! At least a fourth of the store is half off, so you'll have more money left over to blow on things like shoes, handbags, and rent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful -- they'll make useful suggestions that aren't lame attempts at plus-selling. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. It looks cuter on me anyway :-)

I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.

It's bespoke garments and other one of a kind, hand made items are beautiful conversation pieces that expresses both comfort, glamour and vintage vibes. My husband and I were absolutely devastated when we heard the news that Lauri Carleton was murdered simply because she hung a Pride flag outside of her store; I liked to jump to touch it when we would shop here or at the nearby hardware store. We went to pay our respects and the store had a large bucket of small Pride flags out front for anyone to take, which we did. We placed one in a prominent place at the entrance to our garden, and the other at the rose bush that we dedicated to Laurie which is named "Love and Peace". It is important to support small businesses everywhere, and to all visitors I encourage you to please visit Mag Pi and enjoy the essence of our mountain community. Lauri's legacy will live on in our hearts.

I arrived to take my aunt shopping. Unfortunately for us the minute I parked my vehicle a female…read morewalked out of the Mag.pi shouting at me "may I help you?" I replied "no, and I guess you think you own the parking lot?" She just looked at me as I barely had one leg out, removing my keys from the ignition and walking around the other side to open the door for my aunt. So my aunt and I decided to not go in to shop since she was so aggressively rude. Her business is to help us once we get in the store. So on purpose I stalled pretending to do other things. Then we noticed she had signs taped to wooden chairs with long paragraphs. I read "don't pretend to park here while on your phone" etc. Just so everyone knows in order for a commercial business to have a vehicle towed away it must be parked there for one (1) hour. So the hood of the car should be cold. When renting commercial space you cannot dictate which parking spaces are allowed to be used for your business unless it's a residential complex and tenants are assigned parking spaces. So to Parking Lot Betty, please take those signs down and calm down my dear. My aunt was here visiting from San Francisco and we were shopping for a wedding. So with your rude and very aggressive attitude you lost a potential customer.
