Sophisticated and chic, while maintaining personality. But, even with a fave, all retail experiences are not created the same. This was the best shopping experience that I've had in a long time. Possibly the best that I've ever had. Ann was a delight to have assisting me. She gave me adequate attention without suffocating me. Made suggestions, checked sizes in the back, offered to order different colors of items. She was great! I spent a small fortune, but I know that I have quality pieces that will last me forever. And Ann offered to pull pieces to have ready for me if I call ahead next time I plan on going in! :)

Any who I can not say that for the experience I just had. First I was not greeted when I walked into the store. The guy was assisting another couple so I thought ok he will help me after. The older lady in the back walks over to another lady and I and helps the lady. Again I thought ok I will wait my turn. When the lady walks back from the dressing room she looks at me in my eyes but just turns her head and begins to look at the rest of the store. Other than the couple that the man was helping the store was empty. When I addressed this to the lady she just looks at me. The man comes over and again nothing. I was allowed to walk out of the store without either sales associates saying a word to me. I have NEVER received this type of treatment from WHBM. I guess Ann did not work today. Which is a bummer because I saw a black skirt with pockets that I really wanted.

    Placed an order on the phone. Associate did a great job helping me look for items in my discussed…read moresize range US 2-4. I was sent a pair of pants to consider in a UK size 4, BUT UAL tag was NOT labeled as UK. It simply said "4" and was the only visible size on the garment photo, leading both myself (and I'm assuming the associate who was only sending options she believed in my range) to believe it was a size 4 US. Pants were obviously several sizes too small after size conversion. I could not wear them upon arrival. Manager refused to allow me to return them for anything other than store credit even after my explaining entire situation and sending screenshots of conversation and recalling phone conversations that were not on text. She took one screenshot out of context as "proof" that I had size information. I had a waist and inseam measurement on the pants, which in no way defines the entire fit of the pant as a whole. The waist fit me as did the length, however they were bulging tight in the legs and did not fit as they should have had they been a US size 4. She ignored dozens of other texts and conversations that made it clear that I was looking specifically at a US size range and the associate was understanding and helping me with that. Manager also told me "our customers should just know" what brands require size conversions and which do not, even though nowhere on the UAL tag did it say "UK" 4, so I would have known to make the conversion. Overall, associate was wonderful and doing her best to be helpful. But mistakes do happen and it seems unfair to penalize a customer for a sizing error that her UAL staff also made (non-intentionally). Manager was incredibly condescending and difficult to deal with. UAL has great prices and pieces, but you better hope you never have an issue with anything because there is a huge unwillingness to resolve or be anything other than stubborn and defensive over something that should be a very simple refund for a misunderstanding in which UAL absolutely shared blame. based off of conversations with an associate knowing my desired size range and these subsequent photos, I reasonably assumed and relied on UAL's staff and tag to believe that these were my correct US size.

    Since HR doesn't want to properly handle the situation:…read more The following letter and complaints are to inform Human Resources of a multitude of instances where the store manager Shayla of Vans 488 in Lakeside is failing to abide by company policy/ perform her job responsibilities. Loss prevention: The store manager has repeatedly sent home closing associates or other managers and stayed in the store alone after buisness hours, to my knowledge this is against policy. When this happens no one is in the store to perform bag checks upon her leaving. The store manager has repeatedly done deposits with out getting a second verification signature to double check the amount being "deposited". The store manager has left her child who is a minor unattended in the stock room after being dropped off on multiple occasions where no one is performing a bag check upon her leaving. On multiple occasions the store manager will start counting registers and the safe on the sales floor during open hours and while customers are in the store, which to my knowledge is against policy. A couple of weeks ago, when the store manager became aware of an external theft situation was happening she did not report to the RLPM or submit a process map for record of lost product. Harassment in the Workplace: The store manager has openly complained and berated associates in private and in front of other staff. For example she has openly called associates stupid, dumb, and retarded. Dereliction of Duty: When the new store manager started last year at Lakeside, in the first manager meeting she held with new staff she told them "Since I wont be getting a performance bonus in coming months I will be working overtime to compensate" In no way was any of this overtime needed in the store for operations or benefit of the company. This also took away hours from other managers and associates. This is an example of time fraud. During last Holiday prep after the store manager hired "temp" associates it was said in a manager meeting "Don't worry about training the new hires, because they won't be here long." Two of the holiday new hires have become permanent staff and are still not fully trained. On a regular occurrence (daily) while on the sales floor the store manager will stand in the front of the store on her phone/ take personal calls all while "running her segment" but, will threaten written action on another manager if they are tasking or doing operations while they are running a segment. Tho the store manager runs her segments while sitting on her phone the entire time, in manager meetings will berate other management for not "setting an example" for associates... She is the example. A few days ago a customer came in wanting a cash return, the store manager turned her away with the excuse that "We didn't have enough cash in the drawer to process the return." This was not the case, the store manager turned down the return so that she wouldn't miss her segment goal or affect her kpis. These segment goals and kpis determine whether a manager will receive 70% off for segment leader of the month. This can be considered discount fraud. Other associates have tried to go to our previous district manager, Tracey, and instead of the allegations being investigated they were brushed off and those associates received backlash by the store manager. One said associate was transferred to another location and the other was demoted. Also, complaints were made in the last "culture survey" on the topics above and no action has been taken. Shayla's performance is not in line with what Vans or the VF company represent. To close I expect these grievances to be investigated and corrected for the betterment of the company and the associates who work under her. Store managers need more checks and balances from higher authority to ensure policy and procedures are being met and trained to staff. Besides the quarterly visits that are planned and scheduled they need to be checked on proper session leading and operational procedures day to day. Someone who doesn't even know how Storeforce or other applications work shouldn't be in a position of management let alone in charge of hiring or training other managers.

He was so knowledgeable and friendly. He had a great knowledge of the shoes. The first step is a 3D scan of your feet which helps them recommend the best shoes for your needs. I was looking for a shoe that would support me and help me avoid more issues with my knees. I tried on 2 shoes and decided to go with the 1540 which has good arch support along with the "rollbar " that goes around the entire shoe helping to keep your ankle from turning. Once purchased, you have 45 days to return and although I had worn them twice to work I was able to return them a week later for a wider size. I even convinced my hubby to get a pair as well. I loved that Nicholas was honest letting us know what we needed and helped my husband not get the wrong shoe for his foot. The shoes aren't cheap but well made and will last! I will definitely go back when I need another pair.
