Located in what appeared to be an old warehouse, the space is massive. Normally that would mean poor service, super loud people, and other issues. The last giant warehouse brewery I went to involved getting your own food and barley being able to ehar yourself think. Flying Heart broke that mold. Dining is traditional restaurant style. My server was great. He was friendly, made recommendations, and ensured I had everything I needed. While slightly loud, the place was packed and it was not overwhelming. For food, I decided to try their pizza and was impressed. I still think Bayou Teche beats them brewery pizza wise, but this was a solid pizza. The shrimp Poboy featured 6 huge shrimp! I loved it! It was lightly seasoned and the shrimp were perfectly cooked and juicy. My wife's gumbo was very peppery, she knew that it would be from previous visits and she wasn't disappointed. She told me she would be able to eat only one or two spoonfuls at a time before taking a drink. But she ate the whole bowl! The decor is vintage. There are all kinds of Budweiser mobiles and pub mirrors on the walls. There was even a vintage cigarette vending machine with pull knobs for each selection! I always get pepperoni, mushrooms and Jalapeños on it and this time I'm now only allowed one topping on it... so that changed too!? Just a tad frustrated but would still recommend.
