Went to the restaurant for Sunday lunch so of course it was busy and full of the church crowd. Was brought out stale chips and asked for some new ones and were immediately brought out burnt ones. I ordered the carne asada. The steak was chewy and overcooked, the nopales were burnt and everything was oddly wet. Almost as if they boiled the steak, idk, it was weird. My fiance ordered tamales that had a hair in them and tasted bitter. My Diet Coke and her michelada were delicious though. The waiter Jake was good and was attentive to our table. I think this will be the last time we go here, it's been getting worse every time we go. read more

Consistently good. Street tacos . Birria . Fajitas. Grilled shrimp . Queso Guacamole . All delicious! read more

Food is not very good, tried twice. No more! The recipes are literally like auint Maria's old recipes and they need to be updated!

Friendly staff, great sweet tea, food was great, we had no complaints. Plenty parking and they even have a drive thru window.

This was my second time there. My food was delicious, my margarita was very tasty, it was buy one get one night, our waiter was so nice and helpful, and they didn't even mind when we sat a little longer because there was a rain storm happening. When we are in town again, we will dine with La Cabana. Awesome. read more

This was one of those places I was so disappointed in. The chicken fajitas were bad. They were bad tasting. Like too old to be serving. Need to be tested by food. Nd drug administration. Do not order the chicken. read more

My family's favorite place to eat! I've tried Mexican food from numerous restaurants and LaCabana is by far the best. All items are made to order---not pre-assembled! The atmosphere is wonderful. I love when they have live performers. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. I've watched one waiter serve a table of 16 and still waited on 2 other tables and never missed a beat. Always friendly and smiling read more

Ordered the bravos fajitas take out. Not impressed. I especially did not like large chunks of meat very hard to eat without cutting up. read more

La Cabana - Not impressed with the new fajitas. Never have I seen meat like this for fajitas. Take out was not impressive - Mexican Near Me - Jena, Louisiana

2nd time visiting this restaurant. Service was horrible. Waiter did not come around and check on us to refill drinks. My food had bones in it. Chips and salsa were good. Restaurant was hot inside. read more

Food was not great! Overcooked and not restaurant quality, like somebody's home recipes. I've tried it twice and won't go back, I'm from Texas where you get great Mexican food, that's the problem, I keep trying to find good Mexican, but nothing so far. read more

First time sitting in the eat. Food was delicious. The atmosphere was good. Service was quick and the waitress was really nice. I will definitely be back. read more

Foods pretty good, service can be iffy depending on the server and the vibe is fine, music and scenery goes well

If you see this place you better go to it bc it is sooooo good that Queso tho mmmmmmm

Great restaurant in Jena! The food is delicious, the servers are very nice, and the portions are enormous. I came here for lunch w/ a coworker and we ordered the fajitas + the street tacos. Both were delicious, and we were barely able to make a dent into the meal before feeling happily stuffed. You really get your bang for buck here. Shout out to Antonio for being the best ever manager of this great establishment! read more

Service is great. Food is good. But it is a little pricey. Last time I went I got the Carne Asada plate and that cost 18 something it's not $18 for a plate of Carne Asada in California or Texas. read more

was the absolute worst service I have ever had. And to make it worse when I complained the waitress literally laughed at me and my wife. I will continue to attempt to contact management. read more

A great place to stop when you're passing through Jena! Good, tasty Mexican food very reasonably priced along with complimentary warm chips and tangy salsa, friendly top notch service and a loaded daily lunch menu that rings up most items under six dollars. Stretch your legs, sit a spell, get something hot and spicy in that belly, but whatever you do, pull over here now! read more

Well, looks like my friend made a great suggestion so we went to have Mexican food. The beef fajita lunch special at $10 was superb, and very filling, the salsa was on point, and the chips were hot and tasty. I will definitely return, and next time I'll take pictures. The staff is nice and very friendly. read more

I'm not a fan of Mexican foods, but find it enjoyable here. The food has great flavor and the servers are accommodating. They also know their clientele and often remember their preferences. read more

Good food chicken was a little dry really good salsa and sides I'd visit again maybe next time I'll get beef

One of my favorite mexican restaurants! Very friendly staff (we love Rosa!) definitely needed a place like this in Jena!

We always eat here when we are in Jena visiting the in-laws! The service is fast and friendly! I always get the bistec chopped steak and jalapeños! Yummy!!!! read more

The chicken fajita taco salad was great! We were in a hurry during the lunch hour and service was quick and accomodating. Salsa for the chips was excellent as well, I would go back. read more

Nasty food!! Poor service I have ever seen will not go back! They need to fire the hostess!! That was about 2 months ago also!!

Yummy food and people we love. My kids went to a Mexican restaurant in Missouri that was good, but the whole time we're comparing it to something at LaCabana! We thoroughly enjoy eating here and visiting with friends. read more

Always really good. Been coming here since I was very young. The cheese dip is amazing. The service is always really nice.

This was the worst dining experience I have had in a long time. The family ordered their food, my daughter got chicken nuggets and I got a quesadilla. When the food came out her chicken nuggets were the soy sponge nuggets, not chicken, she would even eat them. I didn't get my food until after everyone was done eating and it was cold even though I was told it was hot. When I asked for a fresh quesadilla she took it back and microwaved it. When we complained they just said "huh, have a good night". They will not get repeat business from us. read more

The La Cabana has a new location and let me just say that it is a massive improvement. Actually it is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to and I have been all over the state. The food is excellent and wow the inside of the place is so nice and clean. Do not hesitate. Stop and give it a shot. read more

Wow, I loved the food in this place before but now they have moved, it is so nice. Big town restaurant has come to little town. Last nice the band was awesome. read more
