I love how well-organized this dental practice is. I love how seamless their procedures are. Scheduling is efficient. You are seen pretty much exactly at the time of your appointment. The dental hygienist and the doctor are on top of your issues and their transition is seamless. I absolutely hate teeth cleaning but the hygienist I have there is wonderful, she's got that magic touch where I feel no pain and no discomfort, and that makes me come back for more, lol. I have been waiting 2 months after treatment, to give a fair and true view. Following these great views on google, I came to this dental clinic. Booked basic teeth cleaning. Treatment one: 1. The whole session took 25 Minutes: X-ray, pull out 2 tartars, stuck needles into gums (measured something), flossed my teeth, Done!!! (Include 5 minutes waiting doctor) The ONLY real cleaning procedure was twice scratching on my teeth for pulling out 2 tartars! She didn't clean my crowns at all. She didn't even touch most of the crowns. The doctor told me they will clean dental plaque in a deep clean session. I was thinking: why? Why don't you finish basic clean work that I pay for? The bill was $ 480 + $120. Can I get the whole completed basic teeth cleaning service? Because I paid. In this basic teeth cleaning session, they focused on telling me I need deep teeth cleaning, which is $1200 for 2 sessions. I was told I will lose my teeth if I don't get deep teeth clean. I was scared. I noticed 2 red spots on gum. I was thinking deep clean can fix this. So, I booked a deep teeth cleaning service. Treatment two: 3. I asked the doctor: Can the 2 red spots on the gum be fixed after deep teeth cleaning? She answered: YES! 4. The first session of deep teeth cleaning ONLY used 30 minutes, which is $600 service. Just cleaned the bottom teeth, which is half of the teeth. Can't tell anything different from basic cleaning. Nothing changed before and after deep cleaning. Cancelled the second session right away! 5. Most disappointing result: the 2 red spots are still there. No healing at all. Bill: $480+$120+$600 for ONLY cleaning the teeth half of mouth, which is downside. The hygienist didn't touch another half-mouth of teeth in the basic and deep cleaning session. I never made any negative comment, they made me do this. How can this kind of service get 4.9 rated views? I think I won't trust the rates of views any more. read more

I cannot say enough LOVELY things about this dentistry office. I was a first time patient today and I strongly dislike going to the dentist, ever. However, I was met with honesty and kindness. They were straightforward and didn't try to sell me on ALL the things they wanted to fix. Dr. Gottlieb listened to my issue. I told him that I knew it was a root canal but he wanted to try/recommended that we try an salvage what we could of my molar. I have a filling and now no pain. This was my fist time seeing Dr. Gottlieb. When you walk in you notice how nice and clean the office is and then you are greeted by the girls at the front desk. They were nice and had everything organized. Im glad i didn't have to wait long to be seen. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and was seen at the time of my appointment. Very punctual. Dr. Wu and Elsie are the dream team. Going to the dentist is the last thing I want to do regardless of the doctors. And I think part of it is because most of the people have to rely heavily on the dentists opinion on and he/she wouldn't even know if the dentist messed up. It takes so much trust to be at the doctors. I've only been to the office two times but I feel like I'm getting a good care. I have nothing but good to say about Elsie who took the time with my cleaning and did it so carefully. And Dr.Wu took her time with her assessment and explanation in layman's term. We have been with Dr. Wu's Arlington Dental team for a couple years or so, and we recently visited her office again for cleaning. Whenever you come to the office, you will feel welcomed with respect. Everyone in the office will greet you with a broad smile. And Dr. Wu, unlike other dentists, always tells you the truth for the best of you benefit. While other dentists always suggest costly procedures such as root canals, crown, or bridge, etc., she carefully selects options that are practical and less expensive, and never mention the most profitable procedure that you do not need. Although the office and assistants staff were very nice, I would definitely not recommend Dr. Gottlieb as a PEDIATRIC DENTIST. When my nine year old daughter complained she was still feeling a lot of pain after the numbing injections (I warned him that she has very high pain medicine tolerance and typically requires more numbing than standard), he said he was "out of patience" to deal with her and recommended we see a "specially trained" pediatric dentist. If you don't feel like you had appropriate training to treat children, perhaps you should't market yourself as a dentistry treating children patients. Although I do understand the desire to expand your patient base as a business practice (they also charged approximately twice as much as our regular dentist charges for the same work), your patients and their rights to proper care should come first. read more

The moment I checked in they seen that and instantly started making me feel better. Within minutes i was relaxed with no anxiety Dr. Kelly Rustico was my dentist and let me tell you because of her, I probably had the best dental appointment in over 10 years. From the beginning she started explaining what procedure I was having done and how in depth it was. Every step of the way she explained what she was doing. Before she began she made sure my mouth was numb. Almost every 10 min she was asking if I am doing ok, do I need to break etc. She is professional and just a nice individual that cares about her patient. I'm new to the area and don't know anyone to ask for referrals for doctors, dentist s, or pretty much anything. So when I suddenly began having bad pain in my jaw I was stuck with just a roll of the dice. I found Finnerty, Wu & Palabrica Dentisry and walked into their office on my lunch hour, figuring I'd be put on a waiting list. Instead I was pleasantly surprised that the receptionist said that there was an immediate opening. I filled out the paperwork and was met by Dr. Rosario Palabrica. She brought me in, did an evaluation and treated my problem on the spot. Dr. Palabrica and the entire staff really seem to work as a team and the general mood in the place really seems focused on helping patients. It's a very hectic office but don't let that put you off. Office staff and dental hygienists are extraordinarily professional. I called because of an emergency and the staff was extremely understanding and wanted me to come in the next day. Dr. Wu is good at explaining what she is doing and made sure I did not experience any discomfort. After novocaine was applied, the hygienist came back two times within 5 minutes to see how I was feeling. Another plus is that there was no wait time. I have been going to Drs Wu and Palabrica for about two years now and am consistently happy with the results. The first time I went in, I'd had a big cut on my gums from taking a soccer ball to the face. The dentist booked me for the very next day after I called. I'm not used to such responsiveness with any kind of medical professional. Since then I've been going there for my cleanings and everything has gone well. Recently my Fiance and I both went in for their summertime special on Zoom teeth whitening. Freddy did an awesome job and our teeth are now MUCH whiter in preparation for our wedding. They are hands down the most amazing and caring dental practice you will ever find. I have been a patient for over 15 years and have had the same wonderful hygienist, Donna the entire time. Both of my children have seen her since their first dental appointments. My 7 year old injured his mouth Friday afternoon, I immediately called the office on unfortunately they had already closed. Within 10 minutes Dr. Palabrica called me from her home, we talked about this injury, I sent her images of his mouth, she told me what we should do, how to treat it, etc. The office called me Saturday morning to schedule an appointment for first thing Monday. Dr. Wu and her Office are great. I never waited for more than a moment or so to be seen, and Dr. Wu's billing department is on top of everything. Dr. Wu is great with emergencies as well as regular check up and cleanings. My only complaint was that after 3 years, Dr. Wu's practice stopped participating with my insurance plan, so I've been forced to locate a new provider. After my appointment I thanked my friend for referring me to a practice with so much professionalism and experience. That was about FIVE YEARS AGO. Three weeks ago my 3 yr old went for the first time and I was so impressed with how they worked with her...I pictured her screaming and jumping out the chair once she saw the gloves (she's like that with her pediatrician ). I came here for the first time a few weeks ago after a surface filling fell off overnight on a Sunday. Not only could they see me first thing Monday morning but the whole experience was very positive. I was new to the area and they put me in with Dr Brian Gottlieb (who was also new to the area). He was very professional and caring throughout the process of putting on a new filling. This was all achieved in less than 45 minutes but the best part was that he rang me a few days later to see if I was happy with the job he did and to follow up. Not once, but twice, my veneers came off - and within months. Now I no longer eat sandwiches, bite into cheese, pizza, egg rolls, or anything remotely firm. It's not fun to live in fear that your front teeth may snap off [again] in public. Note that I've had my broken front teeth repaired via bonding for the last 20 years...and nothing like this ever happened until I saw Dr. Finnerty and he convinced me to do fancy, expensive veneers instead. The second time it happened I saw Dr. Wu, because I was too fed up with Dr. Finnerty to see him again. He appears to be very nice, but I don't trust him. I am never, ever going back to these dentists. I will say that Dr. Wu was very nice when I saw her. Unfortunately, I don't trust her co-dentist. I had a crown put on here and it stayed sore for six months so I went back to have it checked. They did a little filing and said I needed a bite guard and that would help. I got the bite guard and two months later I was in intense pain. Went back and they said it might have to come out but that I should really 'never let my teeth touch' because that's not normal. They filed it again and said my wisdom teeth might be shifting now and that if it gets worse I should come back and have them removed or maybe just a root canal. Still having pain 6 months further on. I've already spent over $3000 for this bad crown, I'm not about to give this group any more money. read more

I was a patient of this practice when I first lived in DC. I moved back and found the practice had changed. It's a newer building, but the billing staff is extremely unprofessional. Dr. Wu also prescribed unnecessary dental work (as confirmed by a second opinion), and messed up one of my teeth in the process. She also kept running in between patients and was clearly distracted. I went to the Arlington office about a year ago for regular cleaning. The hygienist examined my teeth and concerned about the gum size, measured the gum depth of my teeth. She determined that my gum was ranging from 6 - 9mm - which is equivalent to bone loss and requires a procedure she quoted at $250 per quadrant. She did not take X-Rays to verify anything. Dr. Wu also looked at my teeth and agreed with hygienist's analysis. Now let me mention that I am in my 20's and never had any teeth issues, so this news was shocking and disappointing. Luckily, I went for a second opinion the following week by my long term dentist who determined all of my teeth had the normal gum size and laughed at the analysis that I had any teeth issues. They were outraged that the office could make a mistake like this. The Arlington Office hygienist kept calling every three days insisting that it was a critical that I have a procedure immediately. I think she mistook me for a naive person ready to shell out money for any treatment. I will never again go to this office, this was highly unethical and I am surprised by all the glowing reviews that brought me there in the first place. read more
