You would not expect a hospital cafeteria to have good food, but this place actually has a contract with a company that makes GREAT food! I was so impressed. The nicest thing about it being a small healthcare facility is that you get to know the staff, almost like family.

I really enjoyed working with most of the residents, however, most of the staff were to preoccupied with their own lives to give the care that is necessary for any long-term care environment. For those looking for a facility to place their loved one, don't be so naive as to fall into the midst of this subpar faculty. Pros: -Food seems to be tasteful (most days) -Despite my views of much of the faculty, many of the nurses are very caring and take much pride in their job. -Charming residents Cons: -Lack major communication skills throughout the entire staff -Very poor administration -Terminate employees' positions as if its a solution to a problem.

Date 10/7/26 Office Experience I have been a client with…read moreLone Oak Dental since it first began. All 4 of my children go there. To my knowledge, we have never been late with a payment and always paid promptly and in full even though we did not have dental insurance for a number of years. In August we scheduled a filling for my 8 year old daughter following a checkup as was recommended by the dentist. The appointment was scheduled for Oct 7 at 4 pm. We arrived at lone oak dental on Oct 7 at 4 pm. I stood at the desk to check in with my checkbook in my hand as I had remembered getting a text saying something about prepayment (which I have never done or had to do before) I said my daughter was there and started making out a check (for a filling that she had not received yet) I was informed that the appointment had been cancelled because prepayment was not received by Oct 1. This was the first I had heard of the appointment being cancelled. This is how I learned that Lone Oak dental cancels appointments if you don't prepay by a due date. I had to leave work early and cancel another appointment in order to pick up my daughter from school and get her to Brookings on time for this appointment (we travel from 30 miles out of town). I told the receptionist this and that I was ready and able to pay in full for the services. She said she wasn't responsible for making the policy and that she just gets to enforce it. I asked if my daughter could still get her tooth filled that day since we came from out of town to make this appointment happen, etc. The receptionist said she'd ask. She disappeared to the back. After 5 minutes, a woman came out and introduced herself as "Dr. Jordan's wife". She said she heard I was having some difficulties. I told her my daughter's appointment had been cancelled. She said yes, and added that the office had attempted to contact me about prepayment and got no answer. I said I had no idea my appointment was in jeopardy of being cancelled and I was not notified that it had been cancelled. She repeated that the office had attempted to contact me about prepayment and didn't get a response by the due date. She said Dr Jordan couldn't fill my daughter's tooth that day because he "couldn't be in 2 places at the same time" . At that point, I told my daughter that she wasn't getting her tooth filled and she asked "did you reschedule it?" I answered, "I don't know if I will reschedule it". We left. I don't recall anyone apologizing or offering any service recovery. No one from the office attempted to contact me or offered to reschedule via phone, text or in person. I don't recall ever being informed about the cancellation policy or being informed that my appointment would be cancelled if I did not prepay. Personally, I don't believe in paying for services that I haven't received yet. I don't agree with the policy and would have expressed my discomfort with it had I been given the choice. I also would not have scheduled the appointment with Lone Oak Dental had I known this policy would be in place. I paid for gas, set aside travel time, and left work early to make this appointment for my daughter and was met with little to no understanding, grace, or even professional customer service. I feel that I received very poor treatment and customer service from the Lone Oak Dental office staff. When I arrived for the appointment I was made to feel that I did something wrong when in fact I rearranged many things and inconvenienced others in order to get my daughter to an appointment that I had scheduled 2 months earlier. I don't feel that I did anything wrong and was caught entirely off guard when I was told the appointment had been cancelled. While standing in the office, I looked at my missed calls and voice mails and found one voice mail message from Lone Oak requesting a call back with no mention of prepayment. I saw one text about payment but it didn't say anything about having to prepay to keep the appointment. I did not get any notification via text or phone that the appointment had been cancelled. No attempts were made by Lone Oak office staff to call or text to reschedule the appointment. I do not feel valued as a client and I got the feeling today that Lone Oak Dental cares more about getting money than providing reliable and respectful service to their customers.

NOT PLEASED. NOT INFORMATIVE…read more I visited this optometrist today and was not pleased. This was my very first time visiting an optometrist. I told Dr. Tasha Jones this, and asked her to walk me through what she was doing and why. She said she would. Unfortunately, she didn't. She raced through the exam and didn't tell me what she was doing unless I stopped her and asked. She also didn't tell me at all about the eye drops that burned, and she didn't tell me that she'd be using a piece of equipment to press on my eye to determine pressure. I only found out because after she did that she said my pressure is fine. I asked, "How do you find out pressure?" She responded, "It touched your eye. Most people don't want to know we'll be touching their eyes." I specifically asked to be told what was happening! She didn't tell me. That is horrible. All she would have had to say was, "This drop numbs the eye, and this equipment lightly touches the eye to measure pressure." It's that simple. No big deal. But unfortunately, she felt she had to hide that from me. After the exam I asked what the results were. She responded with something vague like, "It's good. Your eyes are healthy." When I asked what my vision was I received another vague answer. I then asked, "If you had to write down a number, what would it be?" Finally, I got an answer. It was like pulling teeth to get an answer. I am very displeased with Dr. Tasha Jones as an optometrist.
