I started seeing Marty this fall for a long standing neck and back injury. She's done an excellent job helping with my neck spasms and migraines. I used to see her weekly but now it seems she's worked herself out of a job! I only see her about once a week now. 7 days ago I received a pedicure from another location (from my hometown) but I arrived in Brookings to visit a daughter who wanted to get pedicures together. So I took the plunge and thought well getting another pedicure will not hurt anything but my pocket book. The store is cozy, warm and very clean. I liked the atmosphere. The young lady was super friendly and kind, I liked her as a person. On these points I would return. In regard to quality I will not return. I am currently dealing with super rough heels to the point I can use my fingers to pull lifted skin off the bottom of my feet. Also while sleeping they feel rough up against my skin. This is frustrating since I do get pedicures often and never have this issue. For the cost it is the most expensive in town and due to this I expect detail and high quality for me to want to return. I debated to leave this review as to not hurt someone's feelings but my scratchy heels are driving me a little bonkers and lead me to this review. PS: My daughter LOVED her pedicure. read more

Krave is my happy place and it really should be yours. When work, family, and life all start to take their toll I go see Marty for a 90 minute massage. Pure heaven. All of that stress, all of that tension, all of that ick gets worked right out of me. A good massage not only feels great while it's happening, it continues to feel great for several days after the fact. Paid $60 for a spray tan for my engagement pictures. The spray tan was uneven and spotty, and the color came odr a whole section of my calf. I completed the prep as instructed. I contacted the business about my results and the owner agreed it looked terrible. She said she had never seen it look so poor in as many years as she worked there. I have had many spray tans in the past and never had issues before. The only option she offered was for me to try to scrub the color off and drive and hour to get resprayed. She said she couldnt guarantee it would look any better. I asked about a refund, and she never got back to me. Would not recommend!! read more

I've been going here for years and for just about everything. This is a place I've found that i can truly relax at. The lighting, temperature, aestheticly pleasing... Even while getting a Brazilian wax, I felt comfortable. While pregnant I got a massage, I've gotten many massages while not pregnant- really this place has it all. I'm going to be moving soon and I'm really sad that I can't take this place with me since I've been such a loyal customer for all these years. read more

I had a 60 minute Himalayan rock massage with Gail this weekend. It was great! She customizes your massage to what you need the most. She gave me some exercises and stretches to try at home for my jaw issue. It was very clean and nice inside, as well. There is hand sanitizer and masks for anybody who needs one. Friendly service and nice space, but way overpriced for the quality of our pedicures. Old polish wasn't fully removed so you can see it on the edges. And there is polish on skin around multiple toes. Also she didn't shape our nails at all. Very disappointed. read more

Went in for a Brazilian wax and I just feel like the lady who was doing it, didn't really want to be doing it. She kept asking to make sure I wanted to do the whole thing; however it sounded like SHE didn't want to do the whole thing. It wasn't even good. She missed A LOT of hair and didn't wax all of the part she was supposed to. Not going back there for a wax. read more

The massage I booked here was awesome, but the manicure I got was terrible. It took her 45 minutes to remove my old (gel) polish but she still somehow managed to leave old polish visible on 4 nails. During the removal process, she started by soaking but then switched to using a straight file (not a drill like most salons), making my nails super thin and brittle. I asked her to shorten my nails and she used a nail clipper and cut 3 of them right up to the nail bed, which was really painful. She never asked how I wanted them shaped and just left them square. read more
