A dog with a white head and brown body is lying on a gray wood floor inside a veterinary clinic. The dog is wearing a pink harness and leash, and appears to be resting or waiting. Part of a person's leg and hand are visible in the foreground, indicating the dog is being held or attended to. The background includes a cabinet and a door, typical of a veterinary clinic setting.

This will 100% be mama's new vet. From the moment I walked in they were friendly, greeted me and my dog. It's also very clean! They knew she was in training and they asked if it was okay to pet her and kept the boundaries for her to make sure she continued doing her training. They sat on the floor with her (and me) while doing the exam and really heard me and my concerns. They did not push any unnecessary things. We do have to go see an orthopedic doctor which they had a place for us to go. I would absolutely recommend them.

A brown dog with a checkered collar is sitting on the floor in a veterinary clinic waiting area, facing away from the camera. The background includes a counter with a computer monitor, various supplies, and cabinets. The floor has a wood-like appearance, and part of a person's leg and shoe are visible in the foreground.

I took my dog to ArkVets this morning. I called and was scheduled to come in within minutes. I had the BEST experience. Candace was my vet tech and she was lovely. Dr.Wensman was my vet and she was fantastic. They both made my dog feel very comfortable:) and the prices are VERY reasonable. I always panic about going to an emergency vet because of the prices but I was amazed. I will be going to them from now on. Thanks again to those who helped me and Oliver :)

My sister took our dog there and they were very kind to him. Everyone was nice and pleasant and made sure our baby was comfortable. He unfortunately passed a couple of days later, but it was already the end for him. It was his time...He was well cared for while there. They were also able to see us the same day, without a prior appointment. Highly recommend this clinic.

I want to thank this office. We brought our Miniature Schnauzer in early one morning after she collapsed, vomited, seizure...the whole works. Staff immediately ensured she was stable and then got to work. The vet spoke to our regular vet's office, did tests and established that she had an anaphylactic reaction to something. They treated her quickly and were so caring and kind...to her and us! I was most impressed with the way they collaborated with our other vet's office to make sure the treatment was agreed on. This is a level of coordination I haven't seen before! She was hospitalized for the day and returned the next day for another day at the hospital and more tests and fluids. We saw two vets during our 2 days there and both were patient, kind and caring. They carefully explained everything to us and answered a lot questions. She is now fully recovered and back to her old self. I feel better knowing Desert Ark is nearby. I also want to say how kind the vet techs we interacted with were. They seemed to genuinely care about our dog and that put my mind at ease

Snugget - A black dog with a shiny coat and bright eyes is smiling and extending its paw to a person, who is holding its paw. The dog is wearing a collar and appears to be in an indoor space with wooden wall paneling, a metal planter, and a door in the background. The floor is covered with a textured, light-colored material.

Dr. Cal took care of my 8 year old's fractured tooth that had been an ongoing (non-emergency) issue. My regular vet was booked out almost 4 weeks. My second regular vet was booked out 2 weeks.. these guys got me in within a couple days & my pup was able to have surgery to remove his back molar a few days later. He's now on the mend & healing very well. Fair pricing, especially for an urgent care facility. Front desk staff was beyond helpful as well :) I'm glad I was recommended this location; it's nice knowing I have another vet close by! I feel very comfortable bringing any of my dogs here in the future

We had a virtual urgent care call and they were concerned enough that we brought him into The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic to check in on him. After an ultrasound, they found that he had a mass on his spleen and was internally bleeding, and had to go into immediate overnight emergency surgery. The surgery was successful, and after a 36 hour hospital stay, Barkley is back home and on the mend. While this was such a scary experience and few days, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic and their team. They are open 24/7/365, and provided around the clock care. Because of the length of his stay, we worked with and spoke to multiple of their veterinarians and assistants (thank you to Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Fleming, Dr. Goldberg, and Dr. Blackmon), and everyone was so kind, attentive, and caring through every step of the process, gave us calls throughout the night with updates and over the past few days to check in on Barkley's progress, and were so compassionate in all of the care they provided. Barkley was in such great hands. Thank you to the The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic team!

What an A+ urgent vet care experience…read more I found the spot through reading reviews here on Yelp. Unfortunately, my late, sweet angel of a Bichon Frise has recently passed, however it was extremely helpful to have brought her here to this facility to understand more in depth the severity of her medical issue. Not only is the staff here so friendly and empathetic, they are also punctual, efficient and very honest. My dog sitter ended up taking my dog here one night while we were out of town to deal with her chronic vomiting. The vet caring for her that evening spoke with me directly over the phone to go over treatment options. I thoroughly appreciated her honesty. I ended up having to take my dog back here one night a few weeks later due to the vomiting starting up again and her primary vet also suggested what she's going through needs to be handled at an actual animal hospital. This second visit was just as efficient and also they were kind enough to waive certain fees due to us returning back to them in such a short amount of time. I also like the fact that we're able to use payment plan options via Affirm. That was extremely helpful for me during this previous emotionally tumultuous season. Overall, great urgent animal care location. I highly recommend them.

He'd had a full check up within weeks and actually was at VEG about a month before for an unrelated GI issue. We had unfortunately been to several other emergency vets before making it to VEG, as we were out and about when the crisis started. I also had my little pug with me as getting care for my Great Dane was a bigger priority than taking her home. Once again the staff at VEG surrounded us with compassionate care. Nothing could have changed the outcome of the day but I am so grateful that at every moment the VEG staff was working to save my dog and caring so much for all of our comfort. They immediately got several large beds and a blanket for him to lie down and offered me a cushion. They handled him with love and checked on us in so many ways. And they tried. At one point we had something like 6 people working to stabilize him and everyone was focused and on task. I felt they worked on him not like a job but as if he was their own. I know its hard to work on a holiday and I know his death was emotional for everyone. But thank you all because at least I was with him to the very end and he knew he was being cared for. Being able to be with your dog throughout care is such a meaningful difference in the veterinary industry and in both owners and pets experience with vet care, and I feel like VEG always has such caring people. Thank you, though honestly have to say I'm hoping to see you all less in 2026.

Dr. Starks was thorough in explaining what could be happening with our dog, Thor, and clearly outlined her plan of action. I appreciated how she took the time to make sure we understood everything before proceeding. The facility itself is large and well-equipped to accommodate several large-breed dogs. Because Thor was possibly dealing with kennel cough, we were asked to wait in our vehicle for safety, which we understood. Before the examination, I completed the necessary paperwork inside the lobby, where they provided fresh cold water bottles and a coffee machine for pet parents -- a thoughtful touch for those waiting for their precious pets. The staff and assistants, all female during our visit, were professional, gentle, and very attentive during Thor's exam. Poor Thor was uneasy at first with all the touching and the new environment, as he's mainly used to home and daycare, but the staff helped calm him and made him feel more comfortable. I've already recommended this facility to my favorite niece, who has two German Shepherds. The exam cost was very reasonable -- under $200, not including optional services such as X-rays, which Dr. Starks clearly explained upfront. We are truly grateful for the care and compassion shown to our handsome large Lab mix, Thor. Thank you, Arizona Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center, for making us feel welcome and cared for. Sincerely, Thor's Mom & Dad

A woman almost lost her kitty in another, took them to court and a judge ruled the vet was not fit for practice suspended license for a year. Read the reviews. Almost a quarter of them are the same thing. Sirena's life was taken because they failed to run appropriate tests including xray to determine and diagnose. They lead to her getting worse not better and then administered incorrect dosage for sedation and pain management leading to death. They failed to properly supervise her under anesthesia. They failed to inform me of any risks, alternatives, or the prognosis of the treatment. They lied on the report several times falsifying what happened so they could be unaccountable. This place did not care about the consequences of taking a life nor what it does to a family after the fact. Sirena was a victim and this will happen again unless you don't give them the chance. My Sirena was with me everyday for 4 years and trusted me to take care of her and I let her down going to this place. She deserved better! It breaks my heart reliving being at Gilbert Queen Creek emergency veterinarian and specialist center. I know Sirena would be alive today if I had gone elsewhere. Crystal the hospital director called 5/1/26 offering 300$ "on the books" saying they could have done better. I will never go back to Gilbert queen creek emergency veterinarian. I was shocked she would even insinuate that I would. The grief of losing Sirena and having conversations with these people mentally and physically takes a toll on me. If Sirena was given critical care, the right care from the right specialist, she would be alive today.
