However, upon a second visit with my Yorkies I can truly say I will never return again. After I picked up my dogs, I noticed the workers were acting a bit "off" when I picked up my dogs, I never paid it any attention until a couple days later I noticed my Yorkies eye swollen and crusted on her cheek. I went to scrub the "crust" off and after cleaning it I discovered a huge hole in her cheek, that crust was a scab covering an obvious slice from either scissors or clippers. It was the size of a dime and starting to become infected. If the workers simply told me upon pickup that she was injured I would have been able to care for her properly, however now it's too late for that and my poor dog has a scar on her cheek with possibly no new hair growth surrounding that area. Please do not take your babies here.

But, more importantly, why put your dog through staying an additional night? They do not nickel and dime you to death like one of the others in town. The other charges to give your dog treats, walks, etc. No thank you to the additional charges. Just treat my dog well! This is, in my opinion, the best in Granbury.

These dogs play a huge role in my family and are treated as children. I was under the impression Happy Hills Pet Services was a professional pet boarding service. I mistakenly trusted Happy Hills Pet Services with my dogs lives. I thought she would care for them and keep them safe. Within 10 minutes of leaving both of my dogs in her care I get a phone call informing me she had lost BOTH of my dogs and was looking for them! I quickly turn around and get back there to find her standing in the driveway NOT looking for them. She then comes up to my car window as I'm crying and proceeded to BLAME ME FOR HER LOSING MY DOGS!!! " Well YOUUUUUUU didn't tell me not to let them outside!" Are you freaking kidding me?!?! How on earth was I to know her intention was to let them out?! Mind you this in the country alongside an extremely busy highway. A professional boarding service would and should have a checklist of questions ready to ask first time drop offs of does and dont's!!! I have previously used boarding services and I have NEVER dealt with such an unprofessional rude woman. My two dogs were lost overnight in the country alongside a busy highway... she gives ONE of my dogs back the next morning who had wandered back up hurt. He had either been kicked in the face by local cattle or has been hit by a vehicle. She gave the dog back to me in this condition without mentions of paying the vet bill for an accident that was entirely her fault. The next dog was picked up by a Good Samaritan and taken to a local pound OVER 30 MILES AWAY!!! I wouldn't recommend this " professional pet services" if you ever want to see your pets again or care about their well being!!!!

I recently moved to Godley from out of state, and as the very protective dog dad of two Golden Retriever brothers, Hudson and Hollister, finding a new place that I trust with my boys is a BIG deal to me. Anyone who has Goldens probably understands that arriving somewhere new with two very excited, very social, very strong dogs can sometimes feel like entering a building with a traveling circus. Hudson and Hollister want to greet EVERYONE, preferably by jumping up to say hello and giving them a kiss. I'm usually trying to hold two leashes, open doors, apologize to strangers, and somehow maintain the appearance that my dogs have actually received training at some point in their lives. Before I could even get the boys completely out of the back of my car, a staff member came outside and said, "Hey Dad, would you like some help?" WOW. That may sound like a small thing, but it immediately told me something about this business. Someone saw that I could use some help and came outside before I ever had to ask. In all my years of taking dogs to groomers, I honestly don't remember that ever happening before. Once inside, I met the owner, Leslie (I believe!), and Carolyn, and their warmth and friendliness were so genuine. As a first-time customer, I was admittedly a little embarrassed as Hudson and Hollister bounced around wanting to personally welcome every human being in the boutique. Instead of making me feel uncomfortable or making the boys feel like they were "too much," they immediately took both of them, loved on them, and made the entire situation feel completely normal. They took the time to explain the different services and options available and helped me decide what would be best for the boys. A few hours later, I received the call that they were ready. When I returned, I was again greeted by Leslie, who actually took the time to tell me how Hudson and Hollister did during their visit and offered some great suggestions for maintaining them between appointments. That personal feedback meant so much to me. And then came another little detail that deserves its own recognition: they let me pay BEFORE bringing Hudson and Hollister back out! THANK YOU! Anyone who has ever tried to pay a bill, schedule another appointment, hold two excited Golden Retrievers, keep them from greeting every person within a 20-foot radius, and maintain their dignity at the same time will understand why this deserves five stars all by itself. When the boys came out, they looked and smelled INCREDIBLE. More importantly, they were happy. You could tell from the way the staff interacted with them both when I dropped them off and when I picked them up that the affection they showed Hudson and Hollister was genuine. There is just such a positive, authentic feeling at L & L Puppy Patch. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot until the moment we left, I felt welcomed, the boys were loved, and I knew I had found our new place. I am incredibly grateful to have found L & L Puppy Patch right here in Godley. Hudson and Hollister will absolutely be back -- although I apologize in advance for their entrance. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my boys and for making this very protective dog dad feel completely comfortable leaving them in your care.
