There is approximately fifteen feet between my home and the neighbors. Bobcat drivers job was to remove all the large and small limbs dragging them to the front of the property. Where they either mulched them or load the huge ones into a truck. Neither the bobcat driver nor his coworkers trimmed the long branches prior to removal. (Trying to draw a picture with words.) A lot of them were almost fifteen feet wide. This resulted in coming VERY close to ripping of the downspout on the front corner of my home. They did rip off the eavestrough that carries rain away from the foundation. And knocked over my waste and recycling containers. They did pick them up and reattached my run off gutter. If they had trimmed the wide branches ... Now, this happened both days (2) they worked. Personally, if it happened on day one then on day two I would have the brain function to change up my approach. But nope. They never knocked on my door to ask permission to enter my fenced yard to clean up their debris. So I went out and cleaned up. Day two as they were cleaning up I went out and cleaned up their debris from my yard. Giving it to them to dispose of. The bobcat driver job approached me and said they would clean it up. I pointed out that they didn't on day one so why would I think they would on day two? The customers yard was cleaned up each day. I also brought to his attention the fact that he came close to ripping off my downspout. Twisting it by about thirty degrees.

His integrity? Well, last winter, when he was plowing our driveway, he accidentally backed into the right rear corner of my car, which was parked outside, creating a significant dent. RIGHT AWAY, without hesitation, he told me about it AND offered to repair it at no cost (which he did, once the weather warmed up a bit). Looks as good as new. Now THAT is Integrity! In addition, I had contracted with the for snow removal but the driver would cause damage to my lawn. Each time that I mentioned that to DeYoung, as required by my contract, the driver damaged even more of my lawn, ignoring markers and driving an entire truck length into my lawn. I decided to give notice to cancel the snow removal contract and look elsewhere for that portion of my service. Today I attempted to submit my summer contract for lawn mowing. I had signed a contract in the fall for landscaping this year. My e-mail was returned stating that DeYoung had chosen to not honor my contracts and to cease services. Why - because I let them know that their snow plow operator damaged my lawn, as required in my contract, and let them know that I was not happy? In my opinion, they were unprofessional and didn't honor their own contract requirements and were malicious in cancelling the contracts because of an issue caused by them. Maybe the nephew who took over the business needs more experience and lessons learned. To be clear, the landscaping and lawn mowing crews were amazing.

M n S has performed work at my house for several years, and I have found the owner Mike to be…read moreunprofessional, incompetent, argumentative, and totally lacking in accountability. Cocky would also be a perfect word. Whenever there were problems, such as when he ripped up my lawn AND my neighbor's lawn, plus my step stones and driveway with his snow plow multiple times, he acted as if it were no big deal and it took months to fix. He never did restore anything to its original condition. An M n S employee backed into my expensive aluminum fencing and again, he treated it nonchalantly and took five months to replace the damaged pieces. He was advised that the house was for sale and that time was of the essence because potential buyers would be touring the property, but he didn't care. Interesting that my sprinkler system coincidentally had about the same dollar amount as the damage in repairs that year. Both he and his drivers are careless with the property that they plow and I have watched his hourly lawn workers stand idle while watching their co-workers work; but Mike does nothing to correct the situation. While plowing last night, an M n S employee backed (slammed) into my friend's van even after he blew the horn while he was in a parking lot. The co-owner of the van, his wife, is both my employee and friend. After arriving at the scene of the accident, Mike said, "That's why we have flashing lights," and he is now blaming my friend for his employee's negligence...even though the M n S employee immediately accepted blame and admitted he didn't see him before Mike got on the scene. Mike has changed his employee's story. He has hung up on both me and the couple whose van he destroyed and refuses to provide the name of his insurance company. The wife depends on this van for work, the repairs are beyond its value and it is financially impossible for them to purchase a new vehicle. Before hanging up on me, Mike shouted that he didn't have time to deal with this...that he had clients to take care of. Click. His arrogance, business ignorance and lack of compassion are astounding. Ironically, it is my friend and employee who convinced me to keep M n S on the property every time I wanted to fire him after each incident. She is the one who had to deal with him because I refused, and she always wanted to give him another chance. I am both sadden and angered that she and her husband have been treated this way. If you use this company, be prepared to possibly have it cost you money for repairs to your property, medical expenses, and possibly litigation. The problem is that the owner has an attitude and doesn't care.
